Chris shares insights into his career journey, from being hired by Roger Ailes at Fox News to his eventual firing from CNN, and how these experiences shaped his perspectives on facing personal and professional challenges head-on. Tucker and Chris also touch upon the importance of critical thinking, the failure of the two-party system, and the potential for more nuanced and open-minded public discourse.

As a conservative non-extremist, I loved these pieces and have a newfound respect for Chris Cuomo. This needs to happen more. I do not agree with or listen to Tucker Carlson, but I loved this.

Tucker has opened eyes to the things that people don’t want to believe because it doesn’t fit the narrative or because the truth is scary. I was not a big fan of Chris. But after seeing him on the PBD podcast and here with Tucker, definitely have a new respect for him. Accountability from a democrat is very rare. Nice to see

I agree with you, but nevertheless, I have difficulties of understanding that somebody can give Tucker Carlson a platform. His traveling to Russia in the interview was poutine. What’s the dumbest most idiotic thing I had seen in a while it shows how far away even an educated American is from the reality outside the US. It was like the Truman show

What saddens me if they were still in their original positions, they wouldn't have had this civil conversation. Maybe that says a lot of the legacy media and how it operates. There's a lot more critical thought online. I do not agree with most of Chris Cuomo's politics. Some of the things he said in the interview could be challenged. However, I think if he's willing to have a civil conversation that's respectable and no one should discourage that.

I slowly realized that when Cuomo said he started his career with Fox News, it is almost directly inverse to Carlson's career where he started with CNN. These networks are widely considered politically biased, one on the left and one on the right depending on who you ask. So, it is rather serendipitous that after being canned by their respective networks, these two are talking about the things that matter most. I didn't expect Carlson to be so compassionate towards his old rival's follies and mistreatment. I didn't expect Cuomo to be so self-critical and excuse all of CNN's actions, and also compliment Carlson on his general grit through his own hard-ship. Both had some predictable opinions on the political and socio-economic landscape of the modern US. Agreed on some things and had surprising takes on other issues. This all made for a compelling and sometimes funny conversation from two people that care about the country and future. Good show.

It's EASY to have this kind of discussion when your livelihood/funding/job doesn't depend upon those that PAY you to have the bias and put forward the ideas you're paid to put forward. You aren't trying to convince each other that you're right or wrong, or the audience. So it doesn't get heated or devolve into slander, screaming, talking over one another and ad-hominem attacks.

Interesting to see 2 men of the same age and one is very secure in himself and the other still has lots of lessons to learn in life from what I observed in this interview. I could not stand seeing or hearing Tucker before leaving Fox. But seeing him and keeping an “open mind” about this person has made me do a 360 on my thoughts on Tucker. He’s genuine, f’ing funny as hell with his goofy laugh 😂 and most importantly authentic, fair and really open minded to hear others opinions and ALSO not afraid to admit to his short comings which is a seldom trait in people. He’s more in tune with himself as a soul trying to do his thing on his time on earth. It’s beautiful to see. I think Chris can learn a lot from this man in my opinion (learning in regards to what life is really about). Looking inward rather than outward is where true freedom within comes from. Tucker is goofy af but dam!! I’ve learned to love and respect this man ❤️. Truly a kind and genuine guy within. Love the fact he calls himself a 🍆😄 and knows he can be 🤷🏻‍♀️😂.

Tucker has never admitted to himself that he could be wrong. From his responses, he does not self-reflect. Whereas Chris has worked through the process of self-reflecting so that he can comfortably talk where he was wrong. It would behove Carlson to self reflect, and understand himself better so that he won’t shoot from the hip. This however will change him forever to the point that he will no longer giggle when confronted on matters he is not comfortable with but will handle them as a mature human being rather than as a petulant child.

Chris has a ways to go. His narcissism is still very much there but the humbling has definitely improved him. He reminds me of a young man in school that was a star jock, good looking, homecoming king, that can’t cope with getting dumped by a girl for the first time in his life. I think Tucker went through that years ago and now don’t give an F. Tucker has admitted many times his mistaken beliefs and his humbling experiences and it shows. It might not appeal to some but it does to me

Again. Great job Gentlemen. I’m a conservative, and you two just reminded me of how many opposing party Journalists, politicians, etc.. treated each other when I was younger. When I’d hear my parents, and other adults describe the good ppl within both parties.. Thank you both for this. We absolutely need more of this in all aspects of politics. Friends, respect, fairness, understanding and compromise. It’s the way… 🙏🏼

We need more of this. Different sides and opinions coming together to clear the air with a rational mind, and move forward. We will all never agree on everything, but we can find middle ground if we stop and listen. This makes me happy.

Wonderful and honest conversation. Well done to both these gentlemen. I used to dispise when they were on their latter platforms and now there is only love. ❤ That is the power of truth in full exposure right there. Beautiful. 🎉

Finally a bit of light on the horizon. Loved this so much. For my part, I will no longer watch ANY video whose title contains the words, "destroys", "obliterates", "humiliates", etc... If we refuse to consume that destructive, polarizing approach, maybe things can change...

Thanks guys for setting an example! This should be aired on every channel/news media available. We all should be able to agree to disagree. United We Stand, Divided We Fall!

most interactions are like this all the time. Where people disagree on politics but can have a good conversation. Think about all the interactions you have on a daily basis where you dont know the politics of the other person and you say a simple hello, how are you doing or having small talk while waiting in a line. This crazy hyper partisanship you see on the Internet or what the media wants you to believe is not reality.

I have never been your audience when you were at CNN. But I listened to the entire interview and love it. Congratulations on your new venture. The world needs more voices like yours.

I thought this was such a good interview, I'm glad they did it. Two people who had top rated shows at two rival networks. Who both got fired for petty reasons actually showing respect for one another. Love it😂

I would have never even thought about watching this except that I saw Mr. Cuomo on Patrick Bet David- maybe I would have just wanted to support Tucker but def am still wounded by Chris’s very voice but know how much It matters to break these gut wrenching relationship scares across our whole country!

I thanked you both on part 1 and want to thank you both again. The worst part of our democracy/government is lack of open communication. You both having open conversation without deep seeded emotion and judgement is incredibly refreshing.

You'll get that audience back Chris, don't sell yourself short. This conversation you had with Tucker, regardless of your party affiliation is an important one to have. Massive respect to you to have the balls to go out and speak so candidly with someone who you formerly considered to be an adversary. That's what we need more of today and what everyone is so hungry for. We need to be able to break down the walls and talk about ideas with one another. If we do enough of that, everyone will find that they have more in common with one another than the system would allow us to believe.
