looking at them side by side I have to say the Tudor doesn't have anything to envy the Rolex. Also, the pictures on the Tudor website do not do justice to how the watch looks in person. I have to say, the Tudor takes it for me, only because it's so hard to get a Rolex now a days, but even then the jubilee bracelet on the Tudor looks better on the watch, the lume is better, and its pretty much the same as Rolex.

Man, that OP is just a banger. The Tudor is nice as well, just something about that hour hand throws off the aesthetic for me imo. Would I own both if I could? Hell yea😂

Great comparison, Brad-I've seriously considered both of these. Seeing them side-by-side (which I've not been able to do) shows how distinctive they are, each with it's own personality, despite their similarities in size and color. The Tudor really holds its own and is definitely an appealing alternative. That said, the Oyster bracelet looks more appropriate here (too bad it lacks the level of adjustment available on the Tudor!), and looking at the profile, the polished case of the Rolex shines. I prefer the Rolex, but it's closer than I would have guessed.

Great comparison! Very close indeed. This time I prefer the BB over the OP, even if they were the same price.

Excellent comparison Brad and interestingly it proves what good value the Tudor is. It easily stands up to the OP and In my opinion with the brands logos removed, looks like the more expensive watch. The OP is definitely not worth double the price of the younger sibling.
@ReadyAimFire_
@ReadyAimFire_ 3 месяца назад
From the looks I prefer OP, but you cant buy it normally, and on chrono it costs 3x more than Tudor, so id rather buy Tudor and another watch for that price.

So close in virtually every way. Great video. I wonder about the servicing costs? Would Rolex be more expensive to service over the Tudor? (Tudor Ranger owner here and I love it!)
@brentmillertime8778

I know we can send some Rolex models in for servicing being a Tudor AD but I honestly don't know the difference in cost. I'll have to get with our repair coordinator and see if I can determine pricing.

Neither: Look at the Longines Spirit 37mm When you see the attention to detail and the layers that go into that dial you'll understand.

Would love to get hands on with that model as well. Unfortunately we don't carry Longines. From memory my only personal "gripe" was the five star logo didn't quite look right to my eye.

It's interesting, if you read Tudor reviews on any site, 97% of all negative ones are all about the snowflake hands. And that's the one thing I love. Its original. And even going back to vintage Subs, I wouldn't own a Tudor without it.

Hi Brad, you have 2 excellent watches there. The OP would protect your investment better, but the Tudor would have less expensive servicing and be less of a magnet for thieves. I would probably choose the Black Bay 39 actually, it fits perfectly and there's no Rolex equivalent at retail.

@exvan3571

Rolex. The silver is the best of the OP dials IMO. The watch head is so thin and light it can be worn looser than a thicker piece and the Easylink is perfect.
@4by_yotaguy373
@4by_yotaguy373 6 месяцев назад
Thanks for your opinion, and I think they're cool too. But if you actually had an Easylink bracelet you would see they're not so amazing. Kinda gimmicky, actually. They serve the same function as any bracelet with a dive extension. But only add 5mm, or the size of one link. You still need a tool for micro adjust at the clasp. But I guess it helps when your bracelet is not sized properly.

Heey great video Brad, this is the sort of video comparison I wanted to see as I own the BB36 but wanted to see it vs a rolex... Tell me about the quality on both do you get satisfaction on the tudor as much as the rolex? Also how about the movement quality on both watches whats it like?
@brentmillertime8778
@brentmillertime8778 6 месяцев назад
I only spent limited time with the pre-owned Rolex while doing the review but both felt terrific winding and setting. From what I read on the forums most people are happy with both movements from an accuracy, reliability and power reserve perspective. I'll keep "quality" thoughts to myself as I don't want to be biased but both felt great.

Rolex dial looks more elegant. I prefer an oyster bracelet to a jubilee style.
@Steveman61

The Tudor is beautiful while the Rolex just looks boring. It has no highlights. The Tudor, now that it has got rid of the stupidly protruding crown, looks simply exciting. The dial is modern and serious at the same time and it looks even better in person.
