Had mine on the bracelet for 18 months now.Fancied a change so ordered the fabric strap from my AD in Valencia some weeks ago. The looms in France no doubt shut for a month but when it does appear they can swap it for me.My preference is the oyster but maybe I’m used to it.Enjoy the new look
I can highly recommend the fabric strap, its on another level to a standard nato strap. As you say from the same factory that makes fabric ribbons for the Vatican. It never seems to lose shape, even the adjustment holes don't get stretched or frayed.
Very high quality nato indeed. I wasn't aware of it and opted for the leather strap. I regret not getting the nato version. The oem bracelet was not an option for me at the time of purchase too.
Neat look, now I know if I ever find a BB58 on the nato that a 3rd party bracelet is an option. Plus there's just something zen about watching somebody resize a bracelet!
Just found your channel. It looks good. I like the jubilee on it. I'm saving for the Black Bay or maybe the 58. I'm a while away from it yet and haven't ventured near a jewellers yet and need to break the news to the misses as well. Dreading the conversation. 😁 Best of luck with the channel.
Hey Brendan, it’s an absolutely super watch. Can’t recommend it enough. Which one you go for I think depends on your wrist size. My wrist is 6.75 in so 39mm bb58 is perfect for me. Thanks for tuning in, I appreciate it, Ben
Good video! I have the chunky BB on the original bracelet and even though it hase not nearly enough options to size it properly..I am lucky it fitts me. Your bracelet looks good, give it a hole new look!
Hi David, thanks so much. One of my favourite channels is called minitwatch, a guy called Curt from Hawaii. He used to do these mod vids where he would leave in all the mistakes and not edit anything out. I loved them for the same reason so tried to do this warts and all.
Nice video and bracelet, I got the oyster one. But watching you change the pins like that really hurts. I always tape both sides, rather spend the extra 5 minutes than risking getting it scratched.
Great video👍🏻 I can’t make out if I like the Angus ? I have a the super jubilee on a 007 and love it. The link size and quality are great. The Angus appears very much chunkier? My BB58 is on its bracelet and being a jubilee fan I’m very tempted to try it. The best thing about the Tudor oyster is the clasp which is amazingly put together! How are you getting on with it after this time ? Cheers
You are right, the Angus is very much chunkier, I couldn’t really make my mind up about it either, I took it off within a week and it’s back on a nato now. Not a great endorsement
@@WonderofWatches thanks for that. I think you’ve answered my question there and I’ll not get one yet - too expensive not to like 🤣. Maybe if strapcode do the normal super J for the 58 then! Enjoy it what ever you put it on 👍🏻
Nice one. Stopped changing straps on my watches. The spring bars are so strong if they pop out lug side up they have a tendency to take a chunk out of the lugs. Even when I used good quality Bergeon tweezers.
Thats interesting, I'm not sure I could stop entirely but understand why you would. I managed to scratch all 4 lugs during this video. I should have taped them off. But sure it adds character. I'll never be selling the bb58
Thanks a lot for this authentic video 🙏🏻 and although not everything worked out the first time you where much better than I am usually 😂 I like it on the jubilee 👍🏻 And thanks for the advice to divide the bracelet in two parts 🙏🏻 Pretty sure this will help me next time 😀 What is your experience after 6 months?
I have ditched the bracelet almost entirely. I found it really difficult to get on the watch, and usually I’m ok with these things. Tudor tolerances are tighter though. I have gone back to the nato permanently. Thanks so much for watching
I'm inclined to agree Bill, the protruding Centre parts of the endlinks just look a little odd, also as someone else commented the links themselves are quite hefty, its growing on me though
It looks great! I was thinking about buying one but wanted to know your thoughts after a couple months of owning the bracelet. Do you still like it/wear it with the BB58?
Hi Ethan, I have to be honest here and tell you I took the bracelet off the watch almost immediately. This Angus J jubilee is bulkier, has larger links than a standard jubilee and I just wasn’t altogether convinced by the look. It is well made however, and the fitment of the end links turned out to be very good (I didn’t actually have the spring bars installed properly on camera). My Tudor is back on its original nato now and I feel that is the best look for it. I may try the jubilee again at another time. Ben
It’s a comfortable bracelet. The end links have a very decent curve to them but the end links just looked a little strange to me with the protruding jubilee “teeth” for want of a better description. The bracelet felt great, my issue was more with the aesthetic. I have a couple of pics on my Instagram @wonder_of_watches date 20.8.2020 and 25.8.2020 if you want to take a look. As I say, I haven’t given up on it altogether and might try it again, looks ok in those pics now that I’m looking at them. One word of advice, if doing any strap change o the Tudor, try and tape of the lugs. Steel used seems to scratch very easily.
I find the individual links on these Strapcode Jubilee bracelets too big/fat, compared to an original Jubilee...its ok on the BB58 but still, the manufacturer just went overboard with the size of the links...it looks really stupid on smaller watches.
Thanks Ron, yeah I have to say I think you hit the nail on the head, im not sure about it either, the endlinks have a huge extension on them too, this one may be going back on the nato sooner than I thought
@@WonderofWatches it's ok you should see my watches 🥲 lugs underside scratches are inevitable. I started using some masking tape to protect them now...
@@WonderofWatches I find masking tape to be harder because of some resistance with the spring bar. It doesn't slide smoothly then you have to clean the glue near the lugs. I don't mind the scratches near the lugs anymore like I used to be a few years ago. Just don't let the spring bar slides off the top of lugs, I have dented lugs on some of my watches that way.
