100% correct about Green! In my market, the pings come from these far away remote locations 22-25 min away for 3-6 min ride bc there are no drivers with it on. Ridiculous

I also have been preaching that Uber should compensate us for the distance it takes to get to people if they are 5+ minutes away. Like "this trip is 8 minutes away, you will get +$4 for for "gas" "

The Green ride is made cheaper to entice passengers to choose over regular UberX, therefore with a lower fare price to the passenger, the amount Uber pays the EV Driver is LESS. This is how they hide the $1/ride EV amount, by simply paying less and saying it was because the FARE was lower. This does a couple of things for Uber... 1) bragging rights that they have an EV ride option and larger "fleet" of drivers, and 2) they can save money by paying less, knowing that there is a limited percentage of people that will choose Green over a standard UberX. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it unless you convince me otherwise.

Time over miles but it does have to be at least a $1 mile for me. Plenty of rides i'll decline because the amount of time doesn't match up to the pay.

Mileage is a garbage metric - yes, it affects your operating costs but it's not the primary driver of your ability to earn, TIME is. I work a resort area with a lot of lakes and that creates a huge variance in miles versus time on trips. I started out looking at miles and was getting CLOBBERED, once I started calculating on time it was easy peasy AND I drive around more relaxed knowing I did my math, my total time is in there so I don't need to be zooming around.

Vinny - no $50 in 3 hours is $16.67/hour not $20/hour lol . That’s under minimum wage here in CA.. crazy. Uber/lyft need to step it up.

Vinny why are you even doing X if you can do Black Comfort and you have a TNC license. Why aren’t you picking up potentially private clients with that expensive car that you have. Your goal should be $300/day or more Rideshare and privates. Cmon Vinny how long have you been doing this. The black rates are almost as much as NYC where I live.
