Ricky Morton also lies about the Dustin McPhetridge TCAP segment. For context, McPhetridge was the guy with cerebral palsy who worked transferring VHS matches to DVD for Morton to sell at matches. McPhetridge got caught up in one of those Chris Hansen Predator stings, trying to get with a 12 year old. Morton said he turned on the TV one night and saw the guy that worked for him telling Chris Hansen he worked for Ricky Morton, which never happened. At no point in the televised sting does McPhetridge mention Ricky Morton, nor in the two hour police interview at the police station. Morton is like Hulk Hogan in that they don't understand they can't tell BS lies anymore, now that the internet exists and anyone can factcheck their claims.

Gee, I listened very closely to this interview, and I’ll be damned if I heard Ricky Morton’s name mentioned once. This is what caused Ricky’s divorce? I think not…I think Ricky caused Ricky’s divorce…

Tully is a great success story. He was a great technical wrestler. When he found Jesus Christ it is always a life changing experience.

I could imagine Ricky watching this with his wife and it led to a conversation where SHE called him out for the same behavior. In his mind over the years it became "Tully called me out". Wrestlers are also known for adding extra entertainment value to their stories for shoot interviews.

Well, Ricky needed SOMEONE to blame for his divorce. Tully was the fall guy for him one last time.

Thanks for posting this. I just watched a snippet with Ricky Morton telling the story regarding this interview and another snippet of Dutch Mantell parroting it. It looks like both Ricky and Dutch should get help prying both feet from their mouths right about now.

It wasn't a matter of him claiming to have been defamed. It was that he was outed while his wife was watching it with him.

I didn't remember Ricky being mentioned in the interview....The interview I do remember is Ric Flair saying HE told Jim Heard about the dirty urine because Tully's deal "wasn't fair to Arn"
