What a trip down memory lane. I met and knew most people in this video as a child. My mother was a commentator/TV producer for the tulsa Big Network affiliates from the late 1960s to early 1980s. Now that I'm a lot older, I consider myself lucky to have known these icons.

TulsaTVMemories was ahead d the social media curve - and this content was hugely entertaining for anyone who had been there.

The talented host for Fantastic theater had such a great voice timber and accent for the horror and suspense genre that his intro alone could put a chill in your spine! Good times, man. And The Mister Zing and Tuffy Show was the bomb! The host John Chick actually had a good sense of humor and liked kid's. (Unlike his constantly grouchy replacement,Uncle Zeb.) John Chick's next project The Early Morning show featured great music by local musicians and a few classic cartoons to get you ready for your day. I can still hear my mom yelling at me to "Stop watching those cartoons, and get out there before you miss your bus!"

Born in Tulsa 1957; never moved away, so I vividly recall all these classics. One show I don’t ever see mentioned but I think pre-dated Mr Zing and Tuffy was “Big Bill and Oomagog (the robot.)” Can anyone provide clarification on that show (or; did I just imagine it)? Btw, favorite scary movie on Fantastic Theater was “Mothra” I can recall watching it in my grandmother’s living room like it was last night. Thanks for keeping these memories alive.

Big Bill & Oomagog was a real show, my grade school class was on the show in the very early 60s. 👍
