Can’t believe how long it took me to notice that Lee Woodward was actor Morgan Woodward’s brother.

I knew about Lee Woodward and King Lionel, but I was born too late for his early show. I remember Betty Boyd, but only as an older woman, and Don Woods of course, with his sketches of Gusty! Oh, Clayton Vaughn, too! Although I've never seen him looking so young. And that last report must have been about building the BA expressway that connects downtown Tulsa to Broken Arrow. I was born in '65, grew up in the 70s, back when the QuikTrips were still small convenience stores and didn't sell gas! But they sold comic books, and that was my first place to go for comics, the QT at Admiral and Pittsburgh (long gone, but the building's still there and in use). But I'd always tune in Uncle Zeb's Cartoon Camp after school. And I even got to be in the audience of the show one time when I was still pretty young.

The last part still sticks with us, road construction never ends, about to begin again east of the IDL, hopefully they'll use quality materials THIS TIME

I recall these folks, events and places,i grew up in Tulsa/Broken Arrow area but now live in Northern Minnesota!...Sadly most these folks are gone now and many places there are gone also that WERE there when I was a kid and a young adult!...Sadly as i get older I realize I mostly get homesick for folks and places that no longer exist!

You said it Frank. What is missed cannot be revisited. I will say this. Even though much is very different I still get that feeling of being home when I roll across 44 and see town. My family goes back to the early days of Tulsa and I now have grandkids born sixth generation Tulsans. The greatest town in the Republic.

My dad was President of Goodwill in the 1970's to early '80's...and in 1980 my friends and I did a back-to-school fashion show on Betty Boyd's show with clothes from Goodwill. :)

I remember Betty Boyd coming to my elementary school and giving the girls tips on etiquette. The only thing I remember from it was how to get out of car without flashing your panties. I must have been in first or second grade, so early 70?

Would anyone have any tips for locating some footage from the Betty Boyd show? I grew up hearing about my dad appearing on the show when he played basketball for a small college. He passed away in 2007 and I would love to see him as a young adult on that segment. Thanks

Very few Betty Boyd shows would have survived because that was before shows could be "video taped". Shows back then were "live" and only way to "record" them would have been on films which was expensive
