@VVM. S.4648 aamir came into stardom in overseas from 3 idiots ! Whereas SRK Became Sensation In overseas right from darr movie and became superstar in overseas from DDLJ ! The first $1m , $5m , $6m , $8m , $10m , $20m , first 100cr in overseas were all given by SRK. SRK alone opened more than 45 markets in overseas for indian cinema ! Aamir is not even close to him.
This was a very brave film, a very misunderstood film. People thought with all the sound and music and the ending, cheating on your partner was being justified. It was not. It was in the little details that Karan( Johar, he was the director) did a terrific job. SRK's performance is not particularly great, he hams his way through, but it's the supporting performances from Preity, Amitabh Bachchan ( what a role man), and especially from Abhishek Bachchan that made this film a sure shot winner.

Plus I think SRK performed really well , not one of his great performances obviously , but he did a really good job , actually all the characters did a really good job and karan johar too

I wonder why nobody suggests Don for them to watch and review!! Directed by Farhan Akhtar starring SRK and Priyanka Chopra. Can’t get any better…. They would love it.
People are sleeping on don 1 because it was a remake of Amitabh but thats actually one of srks best performances and movies that would actually appeal to a foreign audience..especially the twist at the end that makes srks don more logical and ties up everything.
@@nsm6526 well put. People undervalued this movie because it was a remake. But this movie has stunning action scenes along with brilliant performances from all actors especially Boman Irani and Arjun Rampal. This is one of my top 3 srk movies :)
Listening to Sonu Nigam’s voice in this song and it’s raining outside sitting on the window with chai ☕️ pakode n these visuals come alive. Feels like i am in New York, yes that’s the magic of his voice it transcends boundaries and transports you to dreamland. He is a legend. Period Thank you OSR for watching this song n i watched the magic of Sonu Nigam’s voice after long time since these crappy Kakkars
@@rishabhs4956 Sonu is a natural barritone. He can manuever his voice for actors. This voice suits SRK. No wonder Sonu is one of the best playback singer for SRK, right after Abhijeet and Udit. Today Arijit's voice doesn't suit SRK at all.
@@shzzaaa SPB had the most manliest voice. Now there are so many singers is more manly voice than Sonu Nigam like Karthik, KK, Hariharan, Armaan Malik, Abhay Jodhpurkar etc. Sonu is too girly compared to these great singers. 🤣
This film is often repeated in my country. I personally like the storyline of this film. You should also react to all the songs from this movie, they are all good. For this song, obviously SRK and Rani Mukherjee ..they are both very cute .. ❤️ and I will not ‘feel’ if other actors do romance, other than King Khan .. he is the best .. ❤️

I’d hardly call him biggest director. He’s ok, hasn’t really achieved more beyond 1-2 movies. He is big in the stars he works with, so sure, he is big in that sense. But even that could be attributed to his connections in the industry
Haha. No offence to Abhishek’s acting but if he had overshadowed SRK there, I’m sure he would have been more noticed but sadly not. SRK’s charm is unmatchable, if you lack such charms, no matter hard u act, your acting is somehow lost behind other things and doesn’t attract audience that much. And how do I describe these charms lol smth like depicting a lot of expressions in your body language too along with words coming out of your mouth and facial expressions. SRK does that very well.
Naaa..in their cinema they have a plethora of movies like chak de India...so they don't find it so special,in bollywood the movie was somewhat of a first or atleast began the trend of sporting movies.

As a teenager when I first watched this song I instantly fell in love with all the sarees worn by Rani and told myself, 'one day I'll have them all in my wardrobe'. Hoping one day I'm able to fulfill the promise I made to my younger self 🤞🏻😇🥰
I would say this is one of the best visually pleasing love song of all time. Sonu nigam voice enhancing the romantic feeling of the song even more. Kind of song that became the definition of romance for 90's kids.
I think it was the time when the melodious Era in Indian Film Industry was about to end.. Because singers like Alka Yagnik, Kavita jee, Kumar Sanu, Udit Sir had reduced to sing songs.. It is also the cause of Fall of Indian film music..
This was Rani's movie. The nuances a d dignity that she brought into her character even though it was a poorly written character is unbelievable. Rani those times was probably the best mainstream heroine.
There is no one who can do justice to a romantic number like SRK n Rani together!!! Magical voices, stunning set of choreography, magnificent actors and sensitive direction!!! Tumhi Dekho Naa is India’s best romantic number in every sense! Period!

Rani Mukherji is GOLD, Hichki, yes Rick, you did awwww in one line from that trailer, "what is life without few hiccups", Mardaani series, Saathiya, Bunty aur bubbly (it is a popocorn flick, but worth it), Bombay Talkies, short role, but CANDY, she is my favorite actress of those times. If you watch Bollywood, you have to watch RANI. She is believable, trust me. Also, how did you forget to mention her "excessively" in your Black review ?
@@elioo613 it’s not unrealistic,she was upset with him throughout the film because he had a different life to her,she felt as though he was immature and that she was alone in the marriage even with him being so loving. She also thinks all he wants is sex and affection without any meaning. They have different minds and although she loves him,she isn’t in love with him.
@@blahblah1939 It is unrealistic for a woman to leave a loving & caring husband for a selfish, married man. Abhishek's character in the movie was hundred times better than Shahrukh's character. And the movie glorified cheating, nobody glorifies cheating in real life.

If you want something grounded in reality another SRK, Rani movie is pretty great it's called "Chalte Chalte", can't believe you haven't watched anything from it.
One of fav. movie .. Chalte chalte , Kabhi Alvida naa kahena, Kabhi haa Kabhi Naa, Mohabattaien, VeerZaara, Kabhi Khusi Kabhi Gum are few of very grounded roles.. in Romance by SRK.. and top notch..
React to - 'Tauba tumhare yeh ishaare' song from Chalte Chalte starring this pair. I love them together. I have said it before and I'll say it again- to me, SRK-Kajol look like best buddies but SRK-Rani have sizzling chemistry.
Guys you should watch the song “ Madhuban me Radhika nache re” from the Great Dilip Kumar’s Kohinoor. You will clearly know that why he is the greatest of all actors.
Veer Zara also has one such a dreamy and beautiful song. One of my fav. Chahte Chalte another good movies of SRK and Rani, very emotional though because SRK is a jerk in it in second half but anyway, it depicts reality of life where people are unbelievably annoying and egoistic and relationships doesn’t go that smoothly. ‘Suno na Suna na’ is a great song in it. Just watched 2 days ago on tv...so nostalgic

This film is a great watch because it is experimental,Karan johar took a risk and I really respect him for that. The plot of this was a little daunting for him to put into fruition as well so he cut back on making it too dark and kept to his original Bollywood feel good formula a bit by putting in the typical party numbers etc. But I still think he did make a very grounded film that forced you to look at the reality of some people’s marriages and the consequences of cheating on your spouse. The big moral message was that incomplete relationships will bring only harm to yourself and the people around you. You’re keeping them away from their real love and your own so it’s best to know when to walk away. Pls react to the saathiya soundtrack with Rani as well,it’s stunning.

NOT DONE, RICK & CORBIN!!! :( This was beautiful firstly because of Sonu Nigam's voice, secondly because of Shankar-Ehsaan Loy's composition, then the gorgeous Rani, and then SRK! Anyhow, you at least talked about the composition.... But Sonu Nigam is unmissable for this song.

I love this song's composition, lyrics, acting and cinematography. But before I knew it for any of these things, I knew it for Sonu Nigam. The man is unmatchable as is, but he was particularly mesmerizing in this song. You guys have only scratched the surface of the caliber of his talents.
You guys should watch one where SRK is the antagonist like Darr, Baazigar, or Anjaam. There is something truly chilling about SRK when he’s the bad guy, it’s fantastic.
