+Animal Fact Files I wonder, do you have an episode on trumpeter swans? The trumpeter swan is one of my spirit birds. The other two being the kookaburra and the white-throated sparrow. I absolutely looooooooooooooove all of nature's critters, but I especially have a soft spot in my heart for swans! Hopefully this December, when the whole Covid19 thing calms down, I'm going to try and go make field recordings of trumpeter swans. At Finley National Wildlife Refuge, which is located in Corvalis, an hour north of where I live in Eugene, Oregon, there are flocks of trumpeter swans that come to stay for the winter. Then in about March, they head north to their breeding grounds in Canada. November through April is what the refuge calls their "Sanctuary Season", where the interior trails are closed off to the public, but the guys and gals there are going to let me record from what they call the "Marsh Blind", which is like a little hut where you can hang out and observe the wildlife. And, since it's nowhere near any busy roads, I can get decent, possibly high quality field recordings of these swans. I would hear no cars, no lawn mowers, no crowds, nothin' but the music of nature's critters!

Hey there! We don't have a video on trumpeter swans yet, but I have them on our list to do in the future. =) They're really awesome animals. That's so cool that you've been able to work in a chance to see them and record them in a setting without distractions! I really hope it all works out for you!!
