Just bought a 2021 TSS Tacoma in Arkansas but I live in Oklahoma. Got it with 14,000 miles from a dealership that was contacted by the original owner that left during the beginning of Covid to his home country and had left this truck parked in the airport garage here and he for some reason decided too or had to not return to America so he sold it to the dealership he bought it from and they picked it up from the airport the night before I found it there and bought it. A really beautiful truck the same color as this tundra in this video. We are loving it doing allot of towing we bought it for to move with and use for our Casita mini camper travel trailer.
Chevy dealers in Texas have the TSS package also. Its not a Toyota thing...its a dealer add on. Friend of mine from Texas had a 4X4 Silverado TSS. Glad you picked another Tundra.......I knew you would miss the roominess and brute power of the Tundra. Welcome back
I got the same tire setup on an SR5, except stock rims. 265/70r16 keeps stock gearing relevant. 265/75r16 changes the gearing for the worse. I have passenger rated Wildpeaks, smooth as butter.😁👍
I have a 2014 Tundra SR5 with the "Texas Edition" from where else, but Texas. It has the same options accept the step bar is a chrome/black combo. It does have a hokey Texas edition chrome badge that looks like a Texas Rangers Marshall badge above the SR5 designation. I think the larger black wheel tire package give it a nice look with the magnetic grey paint.
I got the following info off a Tundra forum.." The XSP and Texas Edition packages are a few of the other regional ones , there are probably at least a few more that I don't know about. Kinda surprised that I've never heard about Mountains States Toyota having one." Never seen a regional package in Vermont, but I'm not surprised...we just got indoor plumbing last week
Leave the TSS sticker on mine just order new ones to put back on . And get rid of the mud flaps . And my opinion is leave the badges on , they are blacked out but have a nice contrast . Nice truck , it’s just my opinion
Rob, really dig your reviews and your updates when doing mods. Thanks for that. You know what i'd like to see with the TSS "off road" model, is to actually see an off road review. It's not a 4x4 so i know it is limited, but sure would be nice to see just how it handles in an off road situation. Thanks, Mike
I know when building a tundra up north you can get heated tow mirrors and Calvary Blue has more packages available. Not sure why you can’t order the same one in Texas but each area does have different designs
Aww lol . It’s all about you personalizing you vehicle . Beautiful truck . I have a blacked out 2015 tundra and love it . Almost came home with the ram then I ran into this . It’s going to custom offsets in wis for a 7 inch lift . Even thou I’m hesitant . Enjoy your truck ..
My dad has this exact same truck in this exact same color with the exact same Wheels, you can do a 275 6520 without rubbing with no level and you don't have to trim or remove the mud flaps. if you decide to go 285 65 or larger you will need a level and you'll need to take the mud flaps off
Deon Baker I paid $350 for all 4 rims. No tires. They were practically new. The guy I bought them from went to 18" Fuel Rims for off road about a month after he got his truck.
Rob, you have followers who like chrome and have it on their trucks. Every time you call it ugly you might be insulting their taste. Just a heads up. Old school followers come from a period when no chrome meant the vehicle was a cheap stripper or a very basic truck. Times have changed for sure!
Never seen one or heard of the TSS series. I like to think I've seen reviews of everything there is since I watch RU-vid all day long instead of TV etc...
@@RobMotive but other than the decal is exactly the same. It's like a TRD without a lot of the electronics and it doesn't have the Toyota spelled out on the grill
Crazy story. I was on a fire in Texas and a few guys had rental vehicles, Tundra TSS packages, and they looked awesome! (Keep those decals BTW) But they got stuck in the mud, and as it turned out, both were only 2wd TSS packages. Kinda caught the guys who got stuck my suprise seeing an “off road” package on a 2wd truck. But I guess this package was custom by Gulf Coast Toyota (at least that is what I heard) and they did this to both 2wd and 4wd SR5’s. Who knew!?
Interesting that you said you’ve seen these down south in the golf coast region of the US like where you live, I just saw a TSS up in Wisconsin and was looking to buy it and found out the truck came from Texas! No 4x4 though, which I feel like is a necessity around here with all the snow and driving on forest service roads it’s sad I had to pass on it because those rims were nice. Awesome video Rob. Haven’t seen any here in Florida, but we do have the XSP package which is pretty much the same with all the added extra aesthetic features. We have the XSP for the Tacoma, Tundra and 4Runner. I think you should get the chrome pieces on the rear bumper blacked out or body color to go with everything else 🤙
Just got this TSS Tundra myself but man he took his time. lol. (if this video is an extension to any work I imagine it would take a months lol) I'm just being a wiener is all. :D
@@RobMotive It is a nice package for sure, just traded my 2015 TSS Tacoma 4x4 in and I had 104000 miles on the original Tires, brakes and everything. Sales person couldn't believe it, they are a good truck, Tacoma and Tundra.... out of the 9 New Toyota's I have had cars and trucks I never had to put one dime in any of them other that a set of tires and front pads on just one truck (2007 Tacoma).
RobMotive In 3 yrs being back home I’ve seen 6 Tundra. I count😳 When I took a trip to Texas 2 christmases ago I saw Tundras every few miles once I hit Ohio. Then in Texas every few miles. Again was counting🤔

TSS stand for Truck Sport Series it's listed on the window sticker some mistaken it for Toyota Safety Sense but it isn't, unfortunately TSS only available in the Gulf Coast region.
Wrong!!! Toyota says it’s the TOYOTA SAFET SENSE. NOT truck sport series. That doesn’t make sense. The one that says TSS sport series would then be a TRUCK SPORT SERIES SPORT SERIES. LOL. you are wrong. Go to Toyotas website.
If you start removing the badging and decal, why get the $2000 option? I really like the TSS option, it is unique, 2019 is first time they have offered black out version. Looks awesome on the magnetic grey color
I'm kind of contemplating getting a 2019 Voodoo Blue Taco at some point or a 2019 Dodge Ram (Just because the interior is gorgeous on that truck LOL ) 😂
