Just went with 35x12.50x18 Toyo which are wider than the 285x75x18 that were replaced. So 2inch spacers are installed in order to clear the Upper Control Arms.

perfect poke with the 2inch spacers, get you some 1/2 or 1inch bumper spacers it will solve your problem, no cutting and removal of mud flaps.

I will probably give that a try. When it flex’s it’s still getting into it more than I would like.

Thank you for the great video! Please, please get a torque wrench on those lugs for your safety as well as others on the road. 🇺🇸 Under torqued lugs can come loose, over torqued lugs can have fractures.

You are so right. Planned on getting video of that in the follow up but I had issues with the video. It's getting about time for a tire rotation that would be a good time to check the torque on the spacer. It's recommended to recheck the torque at least every 6000 miles maybe sooner if you are wheeling it pretty hard. Thanks for the comment and the compliment. Fresh installs should be checked after the first 200-300 miles or so.

Fitting the front for a short time is ok as the Toyota 70 series front axle has a wider track than the rear, which is a pain when driving in sand .

Hey man, nice video. What are you running suspension wise and how big is it? Did you do a diff drop or anything like that?
@Wheel2LiveOffRoad
@Wheel2LiveOffRoad 2 года назад
Stock pro suspension with 2 inch spacer lift in the front and 2 inch blocks in the back. No diff drop. However, it could definitely use one.

Power bar for 5 miles the torque wrench and after a few hundred miles I checked em again just to be safe.

The nuts securing the spacers still have threads on them to thread down some more. I’ve came across the same thing and decided to get extended studs. Did you already have extended studs or stock? Curious because mines 1.5 spacer and the nuts torques down only half way. I see the nuts on your spacer didn’t cover all the threads on the studs. Is it normal for the nuts securing spacer not seat all the way on the studs?
@Wheel2LiveOffRoad
@Wheel2LiveOffRoad Год назад
Factory studs. All usable threads were seated properly. Have been on for a year and still maintain proper torque/tightness.
@_takeit3z
@_takeit3z Год назад
@@Wheel2LiveOffRoad you were able to seat the nuts securing spacer all the way in on factory stud? I’m not able to do that on 1.5 spacer. Been on forums and had couple suggestions to go with extended studs or extended cone nuts for the spacer on stock studs or both! How many turns did you get on stock studs and stock nuts that came with spacer?
@Wheel2LiveOffRoad
@Wheel2LiveOffRoad Год назад
@@_takeit3z yes. The holes are recessed. The holes to secure the spacer leave you with threads that mimic the depth of thread that would show if the wheel were place on the hub. Longer studs weren’t needed.

I used a thin wall deep 7/8 or 21mm on the wheel side. The hub side(spacer to hub) may have used a smaller socket size I'm not sure. Would either be 19,7/8 or 21mm deep socket

I'm curious about the rub after that plastic piece coming out. What spacer lift did you put on the the struts? I am getting ready to bump up to either 295 70 or 35x12.5 on stock pro wheels and just curious how yours has worked out. Right now I have 1.25 wheel spacers.
@Wheel2LiveOffRoad
@Wheel2LiveOffRoad 3 года назад
I'm not sure on the brand of lift as it was installed prior to my purchase but Its approximately a 2 inch spacer. I plan on tackling the plastic areas this weekend to see how much more I can clearance. Really think that 1 to 1.25 wheel spacer would have been perfect with out rubbing but 2 inch was what I went with. If I can cure the rub I really like the look.

@@Wheel2LiveOffRoad I've seen a few Tundra's with the high clearance cut much like the 4Runner like you have don on yours and I used to have done to ours before upgrading to a full Hefty Fabworks bumper.

I’m not afraid to cut but realistically it’s probably going to be that or a bumper. How to you like your hefty.
@White_buffalo_4r

@@Wheel2LiveOffRoad We have the Hefty Bumper on our 4R and absolutely love it. Nice thing is that it's aluminum so it only weights 65lbs. The owner Chris knows how to use the aluminum and make it very strong. I seen it on another 4R hit a deer at highway speeds and still perfect no issues. In fact he ran it for a few more years and then later upgraded to a different hoop style and sold his old one to a friend.

Changing the wheel is the proper way to get it to fit a +18 offset minimum.. also a 4" lift... literally just go to custom offsets galleries and filter what your trying to run. It helped me alot.

@@Wheel2LiveOffRoad but still, a quick opening of the box would have instantly told you there was a problem. Anyone who orders parts for their vehicle would have checked them out when they got delivered. Then you double down and the day of the install still don’t open the box until the second you need them.
