i had a 351 xe when i got married, after the wedding i had to pick the missus up and feed her through the passenger window cos none of the doors worked.
I remember when these were taxicabs everywhere in Sydney. My dad drove an XD cab in 1989 and was replaced by an EA series II in 90. I love how relatively normal these look.
I had an XE Fairmont with a 302 and C4 fitted. It was slower than a week with the flu. It sounded nice though.....totally stock with a single system. One day i may buy one of the last Ford Territorys built. They may begin increasing in value once they become rare.
Clevelands didn't enjoy the emissions tune that got lumped on them but at there core they were still a cleveland. A cam, carb and good exhaust and nek minnit! Destroyed tyres!
@Private Name withheld Hilarious.. I know. Although I have no idea why I wrote that.. Maybe it was my trollter ego.. Who knows. Going by how much you laughed.. Maybe I should be on a stage somewhere.
Fantastic to see these XD's out and about tearing up the track, and with Barras to boot, seems right. And I'm more of a Holden guy tbh. These are pearlers!
the red spdpro in the old v8 - yes was slower ....but the sound. (dream car in the 8 - xe in red was my 1st car 250 xflow!!) congrats on the 7s. car has done well over so many years!!!
Fuck yeah love the sound of both cars. Respect to ford also 🤙inline straight 6 has come an impressive long way. Ford stuck to the same motor and just kept improving it. Was always a Holden fan. An Fg xr6 turbo later and ford runs in my blood
Bullshit.. The driver did that on purpose.. Completely different driving techniques. The other one less self control and that was even evident when they did the burnouts
Oh yeah, 4.0 straight six which can trace it's roots back to the old US Falcon 144 engine.... and right now thousands of them go to the crusher. It's nuts, they are one of the greatest engines EVER. Makes me proud to be a Ford lovin' Cats fan and Aussie. Here in Oz people would get a Jag XJ and put a small block Chev in it as the Jag engines were eye wateringly expensive to fix here. Fuck that, the XJ screams out for a Barra. What a car that would be. Low slung Brit luxury with a REAL engine. Don't get me wrong, a good 4.2 Jag is nice, but hideously unreliable. Barras are nearly bullet proof and produce more power and torque stock.. Even the stock NA engines keep on, but don't really respond to tuning the way the turbos do.
@A-a Ron That is NOT what happened. Ford Australia local production got shut down by Dearborn, as our market is too small to support the R&D needed to comply with all the regs, and we are a stone's throw from Korea, Thailand and China so we get "cheap" jelly mould" cars that you can't find in a car park because they are all the same. It was NOT Ford Australia's fault. Bang for your buck is not a priority of the left. I don't know where you are, but here you could get a container load of them for fuck all. All you have to do then is build them. Believe me, I want you to. These things deserve more than the crusher.
My gosh listen to those cars whine before they launch. We have nothing close to those Door Slammers in the United States short of the Buick Grand National
My dad is still rocking a xd wagon as a daily drive and has not broken a door handle for at least the last 10 years. As long as you dont yank on them they last ok.
The barra don't fit , in a cozie, also they did get barras in the UK ,only thing is they only brought over a handful to sell. A company in the UK sold them . Look it up there is a video on it ,
@@BrosefDudley bullshit so you are tell me the barra fits without any modifications too the fire wall then !!!!!. I'm sure it will fit . Stfu you non car person
@@_i-kr6eg lol@ you commenting about a game i was playing 8 years ago and a channel i clearly don't care about. I must have really got under your skin for you to watch my videos and assume that I'm a drug user. So much for me being the snowflake here 🤣🤣🤣
