In this video we ride along with Alan in his Turbo 07K swapped Porsche 944 at Nelson Ledges Road Course. This was taken at 944Fest 21 which was a blast as always!
Love the build and am waiting for more improvements. Have you considered dual fuel injection with your standalone ecu? These 07k and tsfi variants make it a full bolt on setup with the best of both worlds. This could be a meaningful power and efficiency improvement before trying other turbos.
Thanks! This was at 16psi. We had planned to up it that weekend but never got around to it. We did actually have the boost reference line pop off the wastegate and briefly saw 27psi lol. Boost cut on the tune worked and saved our butts.
My brother and I had been wanting to swap an in-line 5 with the Quattro system in his 944. After some thought, we ended up just swapping an Audi 3b into a Audi 90 coupe. Much easier and less costly. We were satisfied but I was left wondering what the 3b with Quattro would have been like..
How do i get one of those 5 cylinder engines to Australia? I really want to do this swap but getting my hands on a decent engine is going to be the biggest problem.
We always use eBay, they are dirt cheap on there. We typically pay $300 or less shipped. I know shipping across the pond will be expensive but with the engine being so cheap maybe it still makes sense?
It’s still listed but we are not currently taking orders as we reached out production capacity for the year. I believe we are making a few extra kits though and will have them available towards the end of the year. We’ll make announcements on our Facebook page when they are available.
@@BoostBrothersGarage I have been driving Porsches for 47 years and running what is now called DE events since I turned 18 ( at that time you had to be 18 to be a PCA member). My start as a second generation Porsche Pusher were not short low speed tracks that you run (by the way I have run every track you have run and more) but at BIR and Road America. Safety was the number one thing put in our head by opur parents. My christmas present before my first track event was a fire suit. And any car that was capable of over 100 MPH needed at minimum a roll bar. I guess you have never seen some one get burned after an aw shit on the race track.
