the only problem with any 1uz is the lack of aftermarket support custom header, exhaust, intake systems, cams ecu is also full on aftermarket motec or haltech not like them hondas or subarus throw in a chip tune call it a day, you just need to be friends with a welder free parts lmao

Nocturnalist fortunately they’re interchangeable w first gen rods 👍 new toyota (yes stock) head gasket and some better rods is the bare minimum for boost prep. So long as all the other supportive mods are there.
@@MindieJ there good engine's but I don't think a 1u needs a turbo anyway it seems to fuk up the torque curve & shorten their life expectancy big time. Headers, intake & tune wakes them up all good anyways. I know a guy that thrashed the crap out of one for year's it did mad AF skids until it got turboed then it did shit skids & went into self destruct mode almost straight away
Nah mate me and my dad run an ls400 1uz turbo and the only issue is oil surge. we got an engine off ebay and ran it at 10.5:1 comp at 18psi and i worked for almost a year till oil surge killed the mains. a baffled sump, 8.5:1 comp and 30psi is enough to get a reliable 1000bhp at the fly outta them
Mmmm that makes me want to turbo mine right now. What turbo are you running mate. I'm still contemplating on turbo or supercharger. I have heads and plenums but not sure what to do next. Do you mind sharing power it made?
