Im considering on doing either a turbo or centrifugal supercharger on my 94 with a megasquirt ecu. I have to go in and replace a few gaskets anyway so i might as well upgrade you know lol.
Where did you get that tube that goes where the air filter can goes? I've been looking for something like that to replace the carb style can on my truck
What do you have in the fuel system like fuel pumps fuel pressure regulator fmu im trying to turbo mine and was wondering if you would get fuel cut on stock ecu
dude, that thing looks like a monster. I have the 3.9L 239 X vin engine that i want to put a turbo on. body is '88 and lots of bay room. I need daily driving hill power. I live on the continental divide. you have any recommendations of what turbo to use?
How did you delete the 4x4? My 92 has a 94 318 4x4 swapped in with mild upgrades, but it's 4x4 which I hate, it would run too much to swap to a 2wd trans sense I had to have the 4x4 rebuilt, I just rather run the truck in 2wd all time with out any lag because of the transfer case
I was wondering if you know anyone who could make the turbo manifold for me. I have a 98 ram 1500 that’s as fast as syrup going up a hill. And I was looking to complete this but there is no kit online
Did you just pull out the front driveshaft? You mentioned that the 4x4 is disconnected, but the transfer case is still installed. Awesome build up btw! 👍👍
Hey man I browsed through your videos looking for info on the computer setup and tune but couldn't find anything. I did however see that you are into Axial's, Holmes Hobbies and live in the PNW... Nice! We have more in common than I realized! I run a weekly series for Holmes Hobbies and a weekly series for Axial ;) Anyway I am building a 5.2 zj right now and am toying with the idea of throwing a cheap amazon turbo kit on it. What did you use for a computer and tune on yours?
Yeah I'm familiar with your channel! The computer is an MS3X Megasquirt. You can buy kits or complete setups from DIYautotune.com. I will warn you the learning curve is very steep!
Hey I'm interested in doing this, but I can't figure out how to create the exhaust side. I favor a front mount turbo but it seems hard to create a crosspipe, and headers that fit the turbo. In my case should I just settle with a remote setup? intercooler?
I know it has been years so you have already done this, or don't even remember posting this comment, or both. looks like most people reverse the driver side manifold and have it go above the steering items but below the fan.
I have a 1993 dodge Dakota with a v8 5.2 just like this and I've been wanting to twin turbo it, and add a more sporty transmission in it because I do a bit of racing, anyone have any tips at all?
ARP head, rod and main bolts, MLS headgaskets, King triple alloy rod bearings and mains, high vol. oil and water pumps, dual roller timing chain, BOSCH EV1 48# 4 port fuel injectors, low compression dished alloy pistons. And a 4l80e swapped trans or a dodge NV4500 with cast iron bellhousings, a chrysler 8.75 axle or Dana 60 to hold the power.
Im trying to build a setup for my 94 Dakota, 4wd automatic. Can you point me in the right direction? Im looking for some tuning software. Ive been messing with cars and trucks for years but turbos and computer stuff is all new to me. Any help would be appreciated.
