oh man I've been waiting for this video, great work again. I can't remember if you put an oil catch can or not, if your valve covers are leaking you might either need to put one in or get a bigger one
@@WillChang Bro when are you getting that thing tuned. I'm as excited as if it was my car. You know why? Because about a month ago I had the idea of buying a 9th gen Corolla automatic and putting a turbo in it, for the shits and gigs lmao. Even tho I know that trans is prob gonna get rekt.
Too bad about oil dripping on your intercooler piping, however that Moroso oil pan looks awesome 👍 Your valve cover gasket may be pinched, it is a pain to keep gasket proper, when put the cover on :(
Yeah even though the oil gets on the intercooler pipe it's no big deal! I'll have to check out that valve cover gasket, either way a new gasket will be installed!
Haha I haven't meant to tease it and not show it, I just haven't done all that many pulls with it so far! I'll definitely post more about how it drives now that I've been able to service it and check everything over!
Definitely worth checking! That corner of the valve cover I pointed out does look wet though so I’m confident that’s my issue but I’ll check out that oring as well!
What did you do to turbo the Corolla? Did you get New spark plugs ir what did you need to upgrade? Also what tuning software did you use on the computer?
Probably too late but I’d guess it’s not a valve cover gasket problem but the timing chain tensioner gasket it’s in that corner oil is leaking just below the valve cover
i have a shop in the 414 area code if ur close come and visit me i would like to see ur car. heck on the next oil change i will let u trow it on the car rack and do a oil change. no charge.
On the front I jack it up by the tow hook in the middle and on the rear I jack it up around the part around the spare tire storage. There's a forum post about this that has good pictures of this here: www.toyotanation.com/threads/jack-stand-placement-for-07-corolla.1170026/ Hope this helps!
It's not, I've got a turbokits.com exhaust on the way. It's for a 10th gen Corolla not a 9th gen but I've searched around and I think it'll fit, I'll explain more in the install video!
