Turbo is a 2013 American 3D computer-animated sports comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by 20th Century Fox. The film is based on an original idea by David Soren, who also directed the film in his feature debut.[8] Set in Los Angeles, the film features an ordinary garden snail who pursues his dream of winning the Indy 500 after a freak accident gives him superspeed. The film was released on July 17, 2013.[9] The film stars the voices of Ryan Reynolds, Paul Giamatti, Michael Peña, Snoop Dogg, Maya Rudolph, Bill Hader, Luis Guzmán, Ben Schwartz, Richard Jenkins, Ken Jeong, Michelle Rodriguez and Samuel L. Jackson.[8]
The film was met with mixed to positive reviews. Despite earning $282.5 million on a $127 million budget, the studio had to take a total of $15.6 million write-down on behalf of the film. A television series based on the film, titled Turbo Fast, with only Ken Jeong and Mike Bell reprising their roles, was put into production a year before the film's release,[10] and it first aired on Netflix on December 24, 2013.[11]
The film was dedicated to animator Nicholas Sanger Hoppe, who died of brain cancer before the film was released.

@@leoc.7514 I've seen this said, but no one ever says why this doesn't make sense but other animated films do.. Like Toy Story, Buzz doesn't know he's a toy but freezes anyway when a human enters and is literally being played with as a toy since he arrives? Makes no sense yet it's loved.

apparently they say there's gonna be a second turbo sometime in spring 2023, but I doubt that, and if it were to come out, I think the same thing would happen to the first one. (Bad critics and Underration). I do kinda hope for a new turbo though cause that would be cool.

Pretty sure there's a Turbo series/cartoon on Netflix. idk if it has an actual plot or if it's one of those cartoons where each episode has it's own small basic story, but might be worth a shot if you want more

Turbo is one of my favorite movies for me! It’s not for everyone of course, but to me, it always makes me smile! It’s right up there with the likes of the Herbie movies, Cars films and Speed Racer in my opinion! But again, that’s just my personal list!💖💖💖

Verizon was the main sponsor of Indycar in 2014 which is why there is so much Verizon imagery. Most of the sponsors you see are real sponsors of the series/drivers.

Turbo is one of the weaker Dreamwork’s movies. As a kid this movie is fun. But as an adult it’s a really bad underdog story. That being said there are some things I like about this movie Tito is a cool character and “WHITE SHADOW” 😅.

JV, nitrous oxide is fused to Turbo’s DNA down to the molecular level. So his powers come from his blood. Here’s how his speed works. When he accelerates, he will activate the nitrous oxide molecules in his DNA, which will color change his blood cells to blue and infuse his blood with nitrous oxide. The nitrous oxide infused blood will then travel to his heart through the first blood vessel targeted by the freak accident, and upon reaching his heart it will spread throughout his entire cardiovascular system instantaneously and grant him the ability to move at incredible speeds.

This movie is stupid and so weird…. I need like five other movies now- But in all realness, this movie has a lot of flaws. But it’s in the best way possible. So many people say it’s a bad movie but that wasn’t the point of the movie. It was just a dumb silly movie about how a snail is fast. It’s great. (And that song is iconic and you can’t tell me otherwise-)
