I just bought a first gen mazda and it doesn’t really have any mods except a aftermarket exhaust a muffler and resonator delete that’s about it haha! But holly cow that’s a lot of work for a simple part! 😂 I’m excited to start adding more mods but my previous vehicle was so much easier to work on this car is a pain!
Not sure why people hate on the inlet pipe, it’s made exactly like the cobb one that I have. Lol. Got mine second hand or else I would have went the same route.

Really love that “chooo” gear shifting noise! It sounds like blow off valves. Any other mods you have on your Mazda besides the eBay inlet pipe? I wish my subie has the same noise.
Doesn't the "butterfly"noise mean (in case it's not an actual butterfly valve), that air is bouncing back and forth in the system? Which is not good for performance.
Should've gone HTP full intake. TIPs have been proven to not make more power, especially with a stock-sized intake short-ram or equivalent. Going to an HTP full 3" would necessitate recalibrating your MAF curve, but it also would be future-proofing your car for 400+whp. In addition, venting excess boost pressure into a full metal intake (from filter to turbo inlet) sounds much better, if that's what you're after.
Wait why does turbo inlet pipe make a flutter noise??? Don’t you only get that from compressor surge? Which is when air go back out through the intake. But if you have a bypass valve, The flutter noise shouldn’t be there?
Hey man this sounds awesome. What other mods do you have? I have a 2006 Mazdaspeed6 and I want to start modding it, to begin with I wanna get corksport short ram intake and turbo inlet pipe, and a cobb accessport.
Andrew go with either cobb or corksport intake and inlet pipe, get high pressure fuel pump internals, delete the second cat with a test pipe unless you want to do a full downpipe and make sure to get a tune. I also went with a bigger top mount intercooler cause front mount install is a pain in the ass.
I know this video is mad old but I had a question. I have a stock 07 speed 3. Before I go downpipe, inlet pipe, and intake, I should get hpfp internals and an acessport through Cobb correct?
Cameron, merry Christmas 2017. Ok brother, I just purchased the same eBay Chinese made G-Pluse MS3 TIH. I must admit I'm a little nervous because I hear bad things about these products but the price was nice. And the Cobb, JBR, Sure ect all look exactly the same like this one but they are much more expensive. My questions for you are how was the fit? Was it too short ect? Also now that its been a year how has it held up? Any CEL vacuum leeks, rips, tares bubbles? And finally how much HP and boost are you pushing? That can give me an idea of its durability under pressure. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to hearing from you.
Hi. Nice work. Have you done a tune? If not I highly recommend it. As for traction issues- get wider wheels and tires. 8" or 8.5" even with tires no less than 235. That would help a bit

You're goona run out on top end. Better fuel pump, Bigger injectors....Had a speed 6, had to do this. I'd even do the better injectors before your Stage 1. The original map tends to run the car lean on the top end. Or in 5-6th gear.
@@byrnespeed injectors are fine until your above what the stock block can reliably handle and at point its a good idea to just move to port fuel injection
On the fence with this one, would really love to know if you’re still happy with this inlet or went with something more expensive? The part seems pretty straight forward but anything Ebay catches a lot of crap in the forums and reviews.
Cameron Alford thanks man what bov is that one I love that is not as loud that's why I love it, question if I install the intake and bov with an exhaust catback to be more precise do I need any tune or anything so it doesn't mess the engine.
Hey man. Need some advice here. I just started doing mods to my 2010 S3. So far I have installed AUTOTECH HPFP internals, INJEN CAI and TURBOSMART BOV. Im hoping I didnt make a big mistake on going with the BOV instead of the reserc? But I'll get to that issue should it become an issue. Question is on the turbo inlet pipe. Since Im running a BOV, can I go with the same inlet pipe you are running?
Thanks. Love this car but have had bad luck. Only own the car for about 4,000 miles and I threw a rod through the block. I owe on it so I have to fix it. Figured with the new motor being out, get all I want on it will be easy while it's out.
All the lights the anti theft to cruise the dsc off the afs off the seat belt lol men in the dealer charge u $140 only to see whats the problem and the guy told me that its my hks blow of valve the cause of those lights i just take off the battery they only want money 💰
