It's like the evolution of me trying to make it go faster lol. More/less boost, more/less timing, mixing up the ethanol %. Awesome vids man, good seeing you out there too. Lmk one of these nights you catch me I'll take ya out for a ride and a couple launches
Thanks man, always good to see you out there. I know you're more looking at the tune etc., than what cars you race, but a few of these were pretty good! OK, badass, will do!
This made me cringe every launch thinking about my denali having 180k on the clock in my head I could just hear the front diff exploding and motor mounts flying off. Jesus man you got some balls and hopefully deep pockets to build that thing for ten second passes, thats awesome.
front diff was swapped to a 9.25ifs (2500hd) along with 2500 cv axles, chromoly rear shaft from pst, atomic poly engine mounts, 14bolt rear axle (eventually chewed up stock - swapped in a tructrac diff and new gears). it kept breaking hardened 300m transmission input shafts, went to the aermet100 input and intermediate shafts and has been good for a while, kind of done racing it lately though
Can you imagine this drivetrain in a S-10 chassis? The guy from Fasterproms put a turbo LS motor and AWD with a 6 speed manual into a early 90's S-10. The 6 speed was fun but an auto like this Yukon would be faster, more reliable, and more consistent. I could see high 8's in a 3500 lb S-10 at this power level.
We got so many questions and not one reply have I seen the owner of the video reply broo we want our Denali to be fast like yours no really tho can you explain a lil more on this denali
alrighty... so let me preface this by saying I ran this exactly as i did on the street - full interior, full exhaust, 22"/drag radials, full time awd transfer case, air conditioning, pump e85, etc. there wasnt a "race trim" or drag pack or anything. And im saying that because there's A LOT done to it, some wasnt necessarily needed to be done to run low 10s and wouldve been easy to strip the interior pull all the unnecessary crap off of it, throw on 4 slicks with some sidewall, use an actual 4x4 tcase and make an amazing hero pass. but i had more fun on the street with it Engine - 427 LSnext dart block, frankenstein heads, shearer fab intercooler/holley hi ram, hyd roller cam, magnafuel sumped to stock tank/with stock in tank pump/fic injectors, EWP, hydroboost/steering is on a volvo electric pump, most of these runs were with a trick turbo hot side, 4" dp/4"full exhaust, vsracing 92/110, chiller for the a2w. tuned with hptuners transmission/drive train - built 4l80 with transbrake, np149 awd case with the 32spline input, pst drive shaft, 4.10s in 14bolt sf stock locker/2011+ 9.25ifs front, circle d converter suspension - qa1 coilovers in front, rear adjustable qa1s belltech drop spring, 2015+ aluminum UCA/LCA/spindles, spohn rear 4link and panhard bars, eibach sway bars fr/rr, limiting straps on the front sometimes probably forgetting a few things but feel free to ask. the quickest it has been is a low 10.3x 1/4 mile, the fastest it has been is ~143mph in the 1/4 kind of hit a wall where it needed more turbo, more fuel, and aftermarket ecu. i started gathering parts but lost interest i guess. it currently has a 6"lift and 35s on it lol
built 4l80, first one lasted about a year... changed the entire hotside/bigger turbo, and its broken 300m input shaft twice lol . try #3 will have a the stronger aermet shafts
QA1 double adjustable coilovers in front with 2015+ aluminum arms and spindle 3 or 4" drop, rear is single adjustable QA1s belltech drop spring, spohn 4link and track bar, eibach sway bars around 5" drop. It rides and handles nice but still doesn't want to keep the front end down. I've set up some limiting straps up front since these, but still needs more work to 60' better
@@randeez4855 ever think about adding air bags? They fit inside the rear springs. It helped tremendously.....my last build would bunny hop on launch. Once aired up...there's no rear squat and the front doesn't unload.
I have a question I have a 09 Yukon Denali with performance injectors and it’s fast and it runs perfect with a airaid blower I added my question is how did u go 130 if u have 120mph for top speed in the Yukon
It’s the governor. Every car has that from factory. Every car except cop cars which is why cop cars can go as fast as the engine possibly allows them to go. But your everyday car has a governor which cuts gas to the engine so it doesn’t go any faster
Tuning, gets rid of the speed and RPM governor, also trans tuned to use the entire powerband. A lot of these trucks redline at 5800 stock but after tuning you’ll get it to spin 7k no problem and shift correctly
I am in the process of switching to 4l80e and I was wondering if I could use my borgwarner. I have a feeling that I can't. I forget why. Do you know off hand?😊
