So, Stock axles on YXZ are solid if minor HP upgrades? Or you’re recommending replacement of stock axles regardless of mods to motor? I own a YXZ and would never have a car that’s belt driven… Just looking for your recommendation based upon your upgrades. Thanks!
Can the clutch on the SS handle extra power? Do you just need different clutch springs? Will the SS actuator handle it? How much boost are you running? Thank You!
We have a Manual YXZ that has been running 3 years on a stock clutch with 12 lbs boost. We upgraded our YXZ running 18 lbs with a heavy duty plate. The SS YXZs normally can’t handle a lot of power
HillBro I want an SS so, that’s too bad! 18#! Wow, impressive! I think I would want that too! Sounds like way too much fun! We may have to talk further!
Not knowing the area, the video didnt give justice as to the yxz's speed... once you said 3rd gear I could understand. My N/A yxz wont pull 3rd on a big hill. 3rd is a fast gear too, I bet that's 25mph faster of a hill climb than I could do... and sometimes on the really steep ones I gotta snag 1st at the top because she is out of cow bell.
@@HillBroPro just never at that dune. I live 3 minutes from the oregon dunes. I'm going to be visiting other dunes soon. Glamis is on the calendar soon. 5 different dunes here in oregon alone to hit and I've only rode 2 of them.
Hey bud I have a 2016 yxz1000r I have a turbo on it I really don't know much about these machines but they seem pretty cool I picked one up with turbo for 10 G thing is brand new but I would like to know what Clutch will you recommend for this machine with a turbo I think it has a stock thank you very much
Is your machine a manual or paddle shift? Also how much boost are you pushing? We have a turbo that is pushing 7-12 lbs and it has a stock clutch in it for almost 2 years no problems mostly dune riding. Our beast has the Barnett clutch kit with slingshot lock out plate.
@@HillBroPro . Yeah I'm not sure how many booster dog have like I said I just purchased it the way it was what I'll have to do is bring it to someone so they could die no it and check it for me I live in Massachusetts we don't have no Domes over hear but I have mine street legal I use it to drive around but I noticed when I step on it I can feel the clutch slipping open High gear
@@HillBroPro I really hope they redo that chassis from the ground up one day. I always enjoyed High Rev Motors but I would like better suspension on this unit some trailing arm suspension
I honestly don’t remember. It was a wellers racing kit with RPM turbo but can’t remember if the kit came with one or if we put another aftermarket one on.
Dan it works pretty good. The combination of the stretch and long travel kit it helps a ton. I am sure it could be even better with upgraded shocks and springs.
