Turkey would only return to eurovision, if the rules were changed, to allow for the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain to participate in the semi finals, and not get automatic qualification into the grand final. Having the Eurovision allowing them into the final automatically, upset them fully cause those countries needed to qualify in their opinion, and not get automatic entry. It wasn't fair for those five countries to get entry into the final just like that, and Turkey just didn't want to continue every year. They weren't happy with eurovisions rule changing, so they took their ball and left.

@@sav0001 If Turkey had their way, to which they won't ever, then things might have gone very differently, and eurovision wouldn't be what it is today. Am glad they're not in Eurovision any more, cause what we got, was a pure Turkish musical legacy, which should be treasured and enjoyed by millions around the world.

If one they europen people use their vote for song not for politic stuffs.Turkish Republic be there for presenting their art. In video u guys also say awesome musics but countries are not voting for that so one day being eurovision again ...
