Tom Nash is right. I did this during Covid crash I put all my money in 401k and I also bought every paycheck and cranked the amount going into my account to max pain. I made so much money it’s ridiculous
Tom, this is great advice: August is the worst month. Dollar-cost averaging is the way to go, and doubling down in down markets can be effective. I would add that having dry powder-at least 25% of your money-ready for investing is crucial. If people followed this advice, it could change their lives. Thanks.
@@mesiroy1234if you bought something for $30 per share and it drops to $22 you buy at 22 and now your average cost is $26 not 30. And if it drops to $18 and you buy, now your average cost is $23.33
I always tell people who ask me how to start investing, to begin in the supermarket. I Explain them that canned sardines are an asset, and that is what you want. Assets. In the stock market crash last week, i started eating my sardines so i had money to buy the dip in Tesla :) Every other asset went down on that day, except my sardines !!
Tom, You have a solid platform. In fact, you’re the only one I’ve heard mention that the IWM hasn’t reached a new high in nearly 2 years. This is very important, especially coming into a lower interest rate environment. Tom Lee was a little ahead of himself, but i can see the Russell up 20 percent by the middle of next year.

On the days PLTR was down in the toilet below $8 Bucks $7 Bucks I did exactly what you said DCA and doubling down from $21.56 all the way to $11.38 it was painful to do and psychologically it was extreemely hard to do but I held the line and kept hearing your VOICE on Repeat💯💯💯💯💯 🙂 and here we are today and the journey is just getting started 🙂! I'm a big boy that spends $25 a day on food - mostly hamburgers and subs then some home cooked food. I need to take that money and DCA. Otherwise that's 9k a year. It really adds up.

So I’m ready to retire,saved the $4 per day and have stayed in the market,dollar cost averaging as you described and have $300,000 in the market. With all my retirement income I need to start withdrawing on the $300,000 account to maintain my standard of living. Now what? just stay in the market,get out,by bonds,what?

as far as you just keep buying and not sell ...then you are only winning.....even on red days you just stay calm and not sell...with time marketing or not with dca or not you still probably win
Every crash/collapse brings with it an equivalent market chance if you are early informed and equipped, I've seen folks amass up to $1m amid economy crisis, and even pull it off easily in favorable conditions. Unequivocally, the collapse is getting somebody somewhere rich
I do not disagree, there are strategies that could be put in place for solid gains regardless of economy or market condition, but such execution are usually carried out by investment experts with experience since the 08' crash.
Thanks @TomNashTV know most of the stuff you are talking about. Simple but hard to do over long term. Need to be reminded again and again AND AGAIN. Big thank you to be reminded! Wish somebody will teach me long term investing 10 years ago and my investment would be 2x-3x from what I have today. No regrets, keep investing...not trading...or confused the two roles LOL.
