That poor guy with that pump sprayer over your shoulder is trying to keep up Pete. I feel sorry for him living next to a living legend lol. Great video sir.
Another good one Pete. Also, my family loves the first responders, Police, EMT's, Fire, you nmae it. They are heros, keep us safe, and we can't thank them enough....
I respect those who respect me, I’ve had several negative experiences with police, your brother is one who respects other ethnic difference but their are many who don’t and that needs to be acknowledge. We can’t continue to say it’s a isolated incident. Thanks Pete, I appreciate and respect you and all that you do!!! With much love...
I applied your 6-0-0-pe14 last week so far so good and in New York Westchester area its going to be hot above 95 for 3 days.. Hoping for the best !!! Thanks again for your great videos and time
Glad to see this video your awesome I watch every video started on my lawn last year and this year it was dark and full then came the heat stress it looked just like your neibors I applied microp fungicide then started on hand watering put down some urea and its slowly coming back thanks!!!
Another video with a great message to our Law Enforcement folks!! Thank you Pete!! And on another note, just purchased a backpack sprayer & can't wait to use it.
I got the protene down on my front yard and all I can say is 😱😱😱😱😱😱 my grass is super green. I can’t wait to get my back yard done this fall. I’ll be ordering my cool blue shortly. Four-💪🏽 teen-💪🏽 percentage-💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
That's right Pete! Just because a small percentage of Americans don't like the Police doesn't mean the rest of us agree. Thank you to all the boys and girls in blue!!!!
I found that I had a lot of brown patch coming in after a week long of heavy rain and heat. I noticed under 2 trees there was no brown areas, so then I wondered if the rest was heat stress instead. Glad to see in your video it's the same with the shade. Treated the other night with disease ex and Bayer fungicide so hopefully it grows out before the 4th
Wow. I cant believe you put all that down in one app. I have put 2 ingredients with the strom sprayer down at once but i think i might have to try it. Got your sprayer and some of your next products left . I cant wait to see what happens.
Wonderful service out in the lawn 😊😊😊…… the grass under that maple tree we can all see how green it is!!! Let’s all stay under that Maple (Jesus) in his shade!!! You can see what happens when your just outside it 😊😊😊… the creation is amazing!!! The proof is everywhere if we’re open to receiving it
I'm in the same situation... with heat street in my back yard. I didn't fert before I left for vacation and came back to a foot tall lawn and heat with no real rain. I mowed it all, but this week, the back yard checked out. I water the front and sides. I'll be fertilizing with a 5-0-20 with 10% iron but not in the back yard. I'm going to let it go and wait for rain. :( I'm not chasing a sprinkler around the back yard unless it's the fall overseed.
Thanks for the video Pete! I live in British Columbia Canada and we’re going through a record heat wave that we’ve never seen here before (40 degrees C, 104 degrees F). I water my lawn deeply once a week but it’s still starting to look a bit crispy. I was thinking about throwing down some Scott’s summer guard fertilizer and then increase watering to twice a week. Do you have any experience with Scott’s Summer Guard?
I would water twice a week first. After about two weeks, you should see a difference. Then you can do a light fertilization. This is just what I have observed works best in drought situations if you have a sprinkler system.
I only have the option to drag a hose to water my yard and due to work I can only water early evening. If I’m on the preventative fungicide program, is it ok to water going into the night? I know it’s not the ideal time but I have no other choice.
It’s better to water in the evening/night than to not water at all. If you’re on a fungicide program then I think you are fine. Pete has videos on watering at night that address your situation.
Are you the only one in the neighborhood on a well. You mentioned your neighbor doesn't want a high water bill but if he's on a well he wouldn't have one. So it's some on city? Or does he not have the time to spare considering he doesn't have an irrigation system?
All houses here are on city water and pay for the water including me for the water that comes inside my house. I dug a well 2-3 years ago strictly for irrigation purposes. To my knowledge one other home in here has a well and it’s not any of my neighbors.
So if your soil tests show good iron levels is that different than the liquid iron you are applying? Basically if your levels are good is it bad to use liquid iron to enhance color?
Good news is I have a very good relationship with a major distributor in Canada. I plan to work with them over the winter and try and get something set up to help you folks up that way.
Hi Pete .... we're getting 4-5 days of crazy humid/dew point weather. Definitely fungus activity (North NJ, TTTF/KBG grass). What are the suggested cutting principles? I am usually at 3.5in and cut every 5 days. During fungus activity, continue cutting? Cut shorter? Collect clippings? Don't cut as that opens up also foliage to fungus? Thanks. (P.S. I have been applying Propiconazole (2 apps so far in the last 30 days. Will be switching to other Fungicide group on my next app, but still minor fungus showing now on the lawn)
I threw some 700, and 002 down with triplet, and fusilade. One of them didnt play well with others, and clogged up the filters. Second 20000 put all down separate.
Well Early comments about the video, he's not watering. If someone took care of my yard like that I would be sure to at least throw down some water. Just saying. Okay let's see how the rest of the video turns out
Can't find answers to these 2 questions. Read university papers and watched RU-vid... For cool season tall fescue, when you have Grey Leaf Spot and Brown patch; ... 1) is it OK to apply Nitrogen in low dosage? I am due for Milorganite at 0.4lb of N per 1k. Right now lawn is effected by fungus that I am treating with curative rate of Azoxy and Propiconazole. Ok to apply Milorganite? 2) since dew point is crazy high and humidity as well, I am trying not to water the lawn, but we've been having 95 degree days in the past 2-3 days and 2 more days coming up. How do you balance watering and fungus when DEW point is so high and it seems like leaves never dry up, but lawn does look like it can use some water? ... though still greener than most neighbors around for the most part. Thank you.
Your lawn is like that classic Instagram girl. As long as you see her with the tons of makeup false eyelashes and glitter you’re in love . See her without the glitz another story. So to fight Mother Nature I have to turn my lawn into an instagram girl and spend a lot of time money and especially water to keep it looking good for the camera? Maybe this makes good content but I’d much rather prepare the lawn for spring and summer heat stress then allow Mother Nature to have at it until fall. You’re never going to win that battle . Better to forgo all that nasty fungicide crap and mindless watering to create a lawn diva and use that money for a few steaks and beer. Just my opinion and I appreciate all your content. Just don’t see the point of the effort in the heat of summer when everything including me wants to be poolside. Fall will be there soon enough
I don’t think there’s a RU-vid out there who leads by example what they say their expert in. I do lawn care, go look at my lawn and then see if you want to hire me
We all can't be Pete. Thought that was disrespectful of your neighbor, and probably your customer like that. Great content, but at the end I think you'll realize the choice of words could've been better.
