Thanks by your video about my humble emulator. Really, you don't need to create a PI image before copying the files. Simply, get your new SD, FAT32 formatted, uncompress the allfiles.zip, put your preferred games and... enjoy!. :)

Your emulator is brilliant. Do you think I’d have any problems if I used it on a pi but built the pi into the recreated spectrum keyboard and added usb joystick ports to make it a spectrum console?
Is it even possible to ever become this much of a boss with electronics as an average human being? I've used some of your videos as starters for my semester projects in the past but even 2 years later I can't figure out how to research a new(to me) tool in a reasonable amount of time to work with it! Without your OpenStreetMaps videos for example I couldnt have gotten anything off the ground, at all xD
This is brilliant, thinking of making a handheld ZX Spectrum using a broken PSP case and that emulator. Not sure how im going to program the buttons but this has given me a good base!
That sounds like a cool project! Check out the pinned comment at the top: you don’t need to preload the card with Raspbian it just needs the zip file contents dumped on a blank SD card. Let us know how the project turns out!
A pi zero and an amiga mini will easily fit inside an old 48k Speccy case, if you can pick one up. If you cant retroradionics have replica cases. The Amia mini has Pandory usb mod, allowing retro emulation. Haven't been able to get the controoler working with Speccy emulator yet, but C64 works fine. Only issue with the case and Amiga mini is I had to dremel away the standoffs. Can still closee the case with the supplied screws though. Its another option.

Are hellI only have PI4's available, I do find all these emulators like batocera, Retropie will play zxspectrum, amiga but always keyboard/mouse "Amiga" is an issue with setting up, or by the way I did reply to your email with a gift, but I need a reply so we can sort it out. Yeah, I'm waiting for my Spectrum Next 2, but we are not sure if it getting built in the UK or not.
You can use too a Mayflash MAGIC-NS adapter, to connect your gamepads using Bluetooth. It's a great solution that I use all the time with my PS4 gamepad.

The Hermit Retro ZXZero *no sound* VIA HDMI using FUSE emulator... I think like this version using ZXBaremulator, it only comes through the 3.5mm Jack on the Pi itself!?
I was thrilled to try this but I've hit a block and Im not clever enough to leap over it. I have used a first gen Kano Raspberry Pi that was going to be recycled. I Formatted the SD card, downloaded the allfiles.zip and extracted. I even created a roms folder and added a few games. It loads (the Sinclair copyright screen shows, and takes me back a few years) but I can't access the ZX BAREMULATOR keyboard. I am using the Kano wireless keyboard, which otherwise works: alt K gets me the Spectrum Keyboard screen but nothing else. I can type LOAD "" but I cannot choose/select what to load. Any help appreciated as I'm begging to play Atic Attac! Best regards.
Hmm. Not sure. It worked out the box for me with a USB keyboard. There are some debugging tips for GPIO keyboards on the project page zxmini.speccy.org/en/index.html. It mentions pin 21, maybe it’s set to high and it thinks there is a keyboard connected to the GPIO? The page will have more info tho.
