Turn On / Off Heart Rate Monitoring on the Garmin Forerunner 245?
1. Hold the Up button to open the menu.
2. Once the menu opens, scroll down and select Wrist Heart Rate.
3. Once Wrist Heart Rate opens, select Status to turn on or off the wrist heart rate monitor.
- With the heart rate sensor turned on, you can scroll down to change settings for abnormal HR alerts, broadcast heart rate, and broadcast during activity.

I have the Garmin forerunner 245 Music. I just started heart rate training for my running. How accurate is my Garmin do I need to add a chest heart rate device or should I be ok with just the watch ?

Can I display HR continuously for hours and if so how long before the battery dies? Can I do the same with o2?

0:00 I see on your home screen you have heart rate as one of the three things displayed on the watch home screen (along with stepcount and another number at the bottom-middle that I don't recognise) How do I enable it so I can see my heart rate all the time?

Hey. Just got a reberbished 245. When I navigate the start stop button, it washes out the screen or face. At times I can not read it. Any suggestions? If it continues I will send it back.

Seems like the watch heart Rate va what I see on my phone (strava app) are different Why does my watch seem less accurate ?Arent thy suppose to sync at same time (using GARMIN HRM pro) w 245music
