This story is getting better and better! You really outdid yourself with this one! Suffice to say I'm really loving Phoenix and Iris' teamwork and dynamic as the two do bring out the best in one another, but what I really enjoyed is how you put Iris into the equation in regards to her past with Dahlia. It's clear there's something she's hiding due to her guilt in regards to what Dahlia did, and her role in everything in trying to get the necklace back from Phoenix. She fears that once Phoenix learns the truth, that he'll look at her differently. That he'll look at her the same way he sees Dahlia as a monster. It doesn't help that she has the same eyes as her (Btw I have a suggestion in regards to that. I know you said you've been using GIMP to help with the sprites, but for Iris to really look like Dahlia and Morgan, how about making her eyes completely white, that way it REALLY gives off that she is Dahlia's sister and this ability runs on that specific side of the family). But the difference is Iris only becomes that way if you harm a loved one of hers. I never cared for Grossberg but I don't feel necessarily bad for him either. He betrayed people b/c of greed for money and it came back to bite him in the butt, now because of him, Phoenix, Iris, Mia, and Maya paid the price. He owes all of them an apology after this. Redd White. I really enjoyed the dynamic you did here in regards to him, and showed just how powerful he is, and just how much of a threat he is to Phoenix, Iris, Mia, and Maya. It really makes me think that his character had so much potential to be a more imposing threat in the series. Personally I could see him as Phoenix's arch nemesis and instead of Von Karma being the final person to take down, I think Redd White would've been so much better due to his connections and power. Excellent job as always my friend! Look forward to the next episode! But do keep that suggestion in mind in regards to Iris with the eyes. I think it would really make her resemble her sister and her mother.
i love these videos, especially this one. since this is an AU, i wonder how much are gonna get changed, like will Misty still die or what? also, i can't wait for *THAT* trial with a certain german rockboy...makes me wonder how Iris is gonna react to Phoenix getting disbarred, if he even does considering that this is an AU. keep them coming, man.
Honestly, I expected White to use his "administration resourses", to persuade the authorities that Iris IS Dahlia. Because othervise this little side story about him asking Grossberg about her looks like not shot Chekhov gun for now. Otherwise, this work is great.
This brings up an interesting point actually. Surprised he didn't get that thought the moment presumably where Iris... stepped in to protect her Feenie.
I didnt think you would give Iris an angry face given that that sprite is actually from Dahilia and not Iris. But using sprites to your advantage always helps
