FULL VERSION of the Turner Classic Movies 1995 Feature Presentation intro. After a while they used a shorter version, then later a really shorter one. Here is the original, complete version with the train, "breakaway" big band, background singers and hot crooner.
This particular recording was made during TCM's 1995 "31 Days of Oscar", which I think was their first ever "31 Days" festival.

I am wearing red in this spot and ALL the female vocal parts are me pre-recorded. My little son was only three months old when we filmed this. It took 10 hours to complete and I was so afraid my milk would come in and ruin the costume. What memories!

Amazing.This was always my favorite bumper, but by the time I acquired cable, it was already edited down to the shorter version. And I had NO IDEA that "31 Days" was so far back- I was even more impressed at the few seconds of the sepia animation card at 1:06 for "The Great Caruso." Wish they still did that.

I never thought I'd see that again! The new intros for Dave Karger and Alicia Malone stink by comparison! Even Tiffany Vazquez' intro with the kaleidoscope was better that what those two have. At least Ben Mankiewicz has something original.
