Turning IKEA's Silly Product Names Into Pokémon 

I love how applaro's tail looks like a worm burrowing into the apple! These designs are absolute genius

The fact that all these names work perfectly as Pokémon names is just astounding.

Fun Fact: Most areas of the Ikea region are blocked off to the public, due to people constantly getting lost in the dense, maze-like forests. There have also been rumors of large, faceless humanoid pokemon baring Ikea uniforms.

I love how Snibble became somewhat of a small mascot for the channel. That adorable little :O face occasionally popping up in the video never fails to make me smile. C:

As a swede the Ikea names are always hilariously random: Pipig - squeaky Spruttig - squirty (yes I’m serious) Äpplarö - applepickers island (what) Högsma - Idk sounds like a town name Drabbling - the one who gets affected (“affectee” would be more correct) Vallentuna - a region in Sweden Synnerby - a village (“particular village” could be a translation of the name??) Grimar - grimacing Stuk - basically piece, but more section Tuffing - literally means “buff guy” or “tough guy” lol Antilop - antelope (at least he got this one right) Plugget - (the) studying haha Strandmön - the beach lady (but in a really really old fashion way, ”mö” is an old word for a fair graceful young woman) Galant - one who does something extravagantly perfect Blåhaj - great white shark (yes very creative name) also “blow high” is the corre ct Swedish pronounciation lol

You can't just bust out an adorable Digimon and not show us it's evolutions.

I also imagine Grimar could to be a convergent Pokémon like Toedscool and Wiglett, and resemble a Grimer composed of water (“mar” is Spanish for sea)

I think Harry Gold could make a pretty convincing new Pokémon gen leak. Also, the caricature is that one guy that plays a store employee in the mist, that’s all I know him from off the top of my head.

I have a couple of ideas for future IKEA-product-named Pokémon! The "Jolpen" loveseat might be named after an electric penguin Pokémon (Possibly based on the rockhopper). The "Majgull" line of products might be named after a Psychic-type shorebird that's related to Wingull. The "Paddfisk" rug might be named after an evolution of Stunfisk. The "Vindum" rug might be named after a jungle-vine-clump-based convergent Pokémon that resembles Beldum. The "Langsted" rug might be named after a lobster Pokémon. The "Klippkaktus" line of products might be named after a steel-type cactus Pokémon. The "Sandmott" cushions might be named after a ground-dwelling motmot-based bird. The "Tomat" spray bottle might be named after a tomato vine Pokémon. The "Landkrabba" wall hooks might be named after a Ground-type hermit crab that's more closely related to Crabrawler and Klawf than Dwebble, or maybe a pre-evolution of Klawf. The "Barkass" pendant lamp might be named after a wooden donkey Pokémon. The "Passerad" double wall glass might be named after the early route bird, probably based on a sparrow. The "Platta" decking might be named after a platypus-based Pokémon. "Oxno" and "Oxberg" might be a two-stage evolution line that's an Ice-type ox. And I've heard that at one point, IKEA had a product called "Dito" which gave me an idea for what a regional form of Ditto would be like.

Drabbling was a 10/10 design.

This satire is so amazingly written; top tier comedy along with the real world variants of Pokemon. My favorite is Tuffing, both because of the concept and design, and because of the joke of being smacked by a pillow tied to a jet's wing; a perfect analogy and the best punchline of the video in my opinion XD PS: the Digimon part was amazing XD

The names, designs and descriptions here all are great and seem like real Pokémon in a generation. By a strange coincidence, I'm going to Ikea today so I'll keep a look out for these guys.

Blå Haj, which just means Blue Shark. Vallentuna is an area in Stockholm. Tuffing describes someone who's tough.
