I just finished watching Danie install the garage doors and it's because of Danie that I found you.😀 So now I can watch my Canadian Comrade and then I can come across the border without a passport and watch you. I enjoyed this episode but the mother side of me is gasping every time you go to the edge of the floor where the railing used to be.😮 I can't wait for part two.😀🌺🇨🇦❤️

I love that you are going through the pain of pulling off the ceiling trim and discovering they installed the trim prior to putting the drywall on. I thought it was just the previous owners of my house that were idiots, but nope it looks like they visited your house too. I actually met the contractor that worked on my house prior to me purchasing it. I mentioned I was going to redo the kitchen and he asked if he could quote on it, and I said, "I don't think that's a good idea". He could have quoted me $5 and I wouldn't have accepted. Honestly I just wanted to punch him in the face because of some of the pain and wasted time he cost me just because he didn't know what the hell he was doing and took so many shortcuts.

My kitty died a few months ago as well. It's hard grieving. My dog occasionally still barks at piles of blankets on my bed, as my cat often burrowed under the blankets. It makes me sad. A friend said maybe the cat's ghost is visiting, lol.

Sam, when you said 'flat head screws', well, all I can say is I dealt with a flip house - almost all flat heads. A nightmare Sam. I hate them too. Great work Sam. You worked so hard on that small space. You also enlightened me (can't resist a bad pun) on smartlights. My college student daughter now sees you as a hero. If the light tone is not right - it really frustrates her :)

Ugh, I’m guessing you have aluminum wiring, I think our houses are from the same time period, we spent a week swapping out all the wiring, it was a little easier because we have a ranch house with an unfinished basement.

Hey! Appreciate the feedback and so happy you’re here. But, honestly, comments like this totally discourage me. Mostly because I’ve been trying some new things on the channel and I’m finally feeling like I’m coming out of my shell in front of the camera now. It doesn’t mean this style is the end-all-be-all for me. My next video will have much more voiceover. But, I’m proud of myself because I’m much more comfortable sharing my projects and my process in front of a lens now than I was a few years ago when everything was just a voiceover and a sped up clip. And, I’m having so much fun finally embracing my new comfort zone, talking directly to my audience, and playing around with new styles. My only hope is that you and everyone will continue to grow with me and stick around while I continue to explore this new full time content creation role. 💓
