I find it quite sad that anyone would dislike this video. In the whole series of videos, Matt has shown us step by step, warts and mistakes and all, how it is done in the real world. For anyone building a large loco such as this, it is good to see just what you are committing yourself to... Did I really realise how big a Tinkerbell loco was? Being honest not really as it is only when you start physically lifting and holding parts that you realise how large, heavy and awkward it is, and it will only get worse! Ignore the thumbs down Matt and keep thems videos coming!!
Thanks Denis, That is much appreciated. I've started, so I will be going all the way to the end of the build, so not to worry, there is lots more to come!! All the best, Matt
I'm torn because on one hand 'turning over an engine' seems a bit of a vanity to dedicate an entire video to - but it's humourous and enjoyable, so hard to critique! Congrats on the subscribers too!
Hi William, when I decided to film it I was torn too, i really thought is this worth filming! My reason for filming it was simple… if I jumped ahead and it was turned in the videos someone will ask “how do you turn something that big?”. Well… like that! 😆. Some may think it’s an insignificant video or pointless, but I felt it was part of the journey that some would enjoy. Thank you, I’m actually blown away with how many people have pressed the subscribe button. All the best, Matt
Smutty comment alert! "So Mad Chivers, despite what it says behind the bus shelter you can get it up...." Looking more like an engine every video Matt. Keep them coming.
Well Matt now I know why I have been working in 3/4 and 1 inch scales, even at that that my little 3/4 0-4-0 is on a rotary fixture that I built so I could work on top and bottom easily. OK waiting for the next installment. Latter's, Dick B. USA
Dick, Days do pass when I think, this is too big!! At 6 foot long and over 2 feet wide, its a monster! Once the wheels are in I doubt I'll even be able move it a small amount! All good fun though. Laters. Matt.
