By God’s grace, I am a convert from a mainline Protestant denomination, now 28 years a Catholic. It still saddens me immensely that so many nonCatholics preach lies against the only Church Jesus established.
ThD, f.imlt Sorry to burst your errant bubbles Pat. We non-Catholics do not preach LIES, but biblically expose truths on the pagan heresies practiced and taught in the RC faith. Sad and pity. It had become the antichrist church for these end times. Believe you me. I don't lie. I have studied the RC faith well and it is full of deceptions at every dogma they teach. I married a RC girl who did resist to accept the truths she found on reading the bible, but it took a few decades when she admitted the truth that her faith had been misplaced, as it has become a fallen, an apostate church taken over by Satan to deceive 1,3 billion of vulnerable people to think that are follow a the true Church, which is so clearly evident to the bible scholar to be a LIE.
Keith - I have always been Catholic but I stumbled on The Journey Home somehow years ago and was enthralled with it. Marcus Grodi is one of the kindest, gentlest and wisest men I've ever had thr pleasure of listening to and watching. And to see him doing this interview with you.... it warms my heart like you can't believe. He is so right about words being cheapened by our technology age. And about the birds 🐦 being a reminder of God's creative love in this mess of a world. Thank you. You did a nice job interviewing him. So glad you were able to. May God continue to bless you and Marcus.
ThD, F.imlt Dear Kevin: How could it be it was the HOLY SPIRIT had brought back all those Protestants back to the fallen Catholic Church who are pagans pretending to be Christians. Please - consider how could it be the Holy Spirit that had made the 2nd man Jesus a righteous and holy 2nd Adam to become our Savoir and allow these Catholics to be saved and tet living lies as LIARS ? Nah - your RC faith teaches to violate God's specific moral Decalogue Commandments of God *once written on two tables of stone) but now written on peoples hearts and minds? Nay --- it is a clever deception of Satan with a motto "If you can not beat them join them" - thus successfully to deceive from within as pretend Christians!!!!
I'm a convert by God's mercy through marriage (28 yrs) to my beautiful cradle Catholic wife, I feel like I'm sitting right at the table with you two soaking it all in- thank you two for pouring out your hearts - my prayer is that God magnifies your examples and words ( and mine) to help, comfort, educate, encourage more people to come into the Church!! God bless you and your ministries!!
I am what Mr. Grodi refers to as a "Cradle catholic", despite my grandma and mother's best efforts, I drifted away from the church in high school, got married, and when our kids were little we questioned ourselves, ¿What are we going to teach them?, it is been 22 years of a road that started with just going to mass, but has progressed, praise God, to a better formation and compromise with the Lord, The Journey Home was thing that got me really thinking of my faith, and helped me get a renewed appreciation for it, so Thank You Marcus, Mother Angelica was not wrong when se envisioned what your show could do for other Catholics, I will pray for your ministry, greetings from Sonora, Mexico. Keith, this is my first video in your channel, will surely watch others, blessing for you too.
I love those interviews. Sometimes I watch some 2 or 3 times over. It helps me know my faith better I was born and raised a Catholic but I was never fully educated in my faith. It just makes me so happy to see these individuals who were not born and raised Catholic be so proud to become Catholic to find the true church of Christ.
Thank you, Marcus, for interviewing a thousand people and helping so many of our brothers and sisters tell their fascinating and courageous stories of how they were called into the Catholic Church. Keith, you and Estelle are a blessing to the Catholic Church. I'm very grateful you're both in. If it is the Lord's will, I hope your precious children will enter one day too. God bless you all.

More of this! I met Marcus Grodi at an EWTN family celebration event a few years ago. He strode out onstage looking like a Protestant preacher, and when I got my chance to ask him a question, I told him just that (knowing that he, and his family, converted to Catholicism). He is very gracious, as was everyone I met at that family event.
All these pastors joining the Church and wanting to continue their word for God has been a great gift to Her. They are the ones leading the fight for the soul of the Church. Teaching the laity what the church should have been doing .
Wow. I just "tripped over" this program. Thank you, Keith and Marcus! I have to thank you Marcus for strengthening my husband's faith and increasing his knowledge by your "Journey Home" when he came home! He passed to eternity nearly fourteen years ago now. I don't do TV so I haven't seen your face for twenty years! This was a real heartwarming treat! Now, as you, I have to go take care of the chickens and goats!

It is good to know Mrs. Grodi was turned toward the Church by the prolife understanding and work. Marcus has helped me understand non-Catholics who join through RCIA as I accompany them. The Journey Home is a miracle. It was a big sacrifice to create and produce. Talk about following God's will. Marcus is a perfect example! This interview is wonderful. "The power of the apologetics! ... Fingerprints of the Holy Spirit ... by the MERCY of God!" So many "wisdom gems" from Marcus.
The journey home was instrumental in my reconvertion to the Catholic faith. Been watching since it started on EWTN. Although been watching it on line for the past few years.
Good. It's a very nice program. I've followed it for many years. I’m publishing a weekly RU-vid video on episodes from the life of Don Bosco, entitled ST JOHN BOSCO by JOE ZAMMIT. In this series I’m narrating events and miracles from the splendid life of Don Bosco. St John Bosco used to perform a miracle almost every day, through the intercession of Mary Help of Christians. From the lives of saints we can learn how to love God more and draw closer to him. Thank you.
I enjoyed this so much. The Journey Home has been one of my favorite shows to watch. Thank you for having Marcus on your show. It seemed that you both enjoyed it as much as we did.
I watch Marcus every week on the show and I rejoice with the interviews. He has a gift from the Holy Spirit and transmits it to the audience. Thank you both for saying yes to the Lord and sharing what you have received from Him with all of us. GOD bless both you and your families. Bendiciones de Jesús, María y José.
Yeah His Son does The Journey Home now I think, I thought for some Reason Marcus Grodi had passed on, so a Heartwarming treat to see He is in fact still with us also it's nice to hear the Story Capturer tell the Story! Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you god bless you both!!!; I am from Panama Central America, catholic, I like both of your shows, and learn something new, but always see the love of God in you.
Great interview. Last month I did a taping of The Journey Home and was surprised that Marcus does the interview cold with only the most basic of facts ahead of time. As a long time atheist this show was so important to me on my way into the Church (just as this show started). So it was great meeting him and the staff, along with of course Matt Swaim.
I suggest the Church create an order of lay preachers that preaches at churches, at gatherings, on the road, etc. So many of these former pastors could really use their gifts in such a ministry and help some of our priests who are not always the greatest when it comes to homilies. (smile)
Funny, I was thinking the same last night as I watched the video on Dr Scott Hahn being interviewed by Keith. I'm a cradle Catholic whose faith was enriched by the testimonies of Dr Hahn, Marcus and many others. There's so much we, cradle Catholics, take for granted. God bless you all. Greetings from PNG.
There are lots of priests who are good in giving homilies, because they studied for 10years just to be that..as a Catholic you also need to exert extra effort for you to grow and not just depend on our priests..there are groups in which you can join to know more Jesus and be more like JESUS everyday, of course reading the Bible everyday is essential.... praying the Rosary also..
I have to say this . Keith , you just hit a Grand slam bases clearing and I am not a baseball fan , awesome simply awesome. The things spoken about here is feeding us the body of CHRIST. Things THE HOLY SPIRIT is reminding us to think and meditate on these things .amen
The most profound people I've met are the staunchest advocates of simplicity in life. Simplicity does not fly you to the moon and stars, but it brings the moon and stars to you. Monarchs, statesmen and even popes sought audience with one of 20th century's personification of simplicity. And they know they were kept waiting because she had to wait upon the poorest of the poor. A little bit of digression to Marcus' take on humility and grace. We are called not always to great things, notwithstanding, we are called always to small things made great.
Fascinating conversation between two guys that really know how to tell the truth about the faith I love. I am changing from being a cradle Catholic that took my faith for granted to giving my best efforts to learn as much as I can about my faith. I used to know reasonably well what we should & shouldn't do to "why" we believe we should or shouldn't do.
What a wonderful interview! Marcus Grodi's personal story has come up in bits and pieces during his interviews, but I didn't know the full story. What he said about the pursuit of truth being a common thread regardless of the individual conversion reminds me of the Lord's promise, "Seek and ye shall find. Knock and the door will be opened to you." Sacred Heart of Jesus, open the hearts and minds off sinners to the truth and light of God the Father. Inaccurate Heart of Mary, pray for the concession of sinners and the world. As always, 3 Hail Marys for you 🌹🌹🌹🙏🏻and for Marcus 🌹🌹🌹🙏🏻📿
Hello Keith ... what a great show I live in South Africa and I love Marcus Grodi I also pray the rosary with you everyday although you are 1day behind us Is there anyway you have the number of converts to Catholicism over the last few years? +JMJ+ The Journey Home episode from “across the pond” in England with Brother Francis Edkins was for me the most powerful episode ever. I was speechless at Brother Francis’ testimony. GOD bless Marcus and the Journey Home. Praise be JESUS CHRIST! 🙏🏼❤️✝️❤️🙏🏼
Marcus, you are the one who made me still in the Catholic Church....I thank the Lord who made me watched you on youtube and internet a few years ago... Gbu Marcus and Keith.
As a cradle Filipino Catholic I am ENVIOUS about your LOVE for Catholicism Keith. How can I have a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ INSIDE the Catholic Church?
I grew up in the post Vatican 2 era. A fabulous parish , good priests and a time of renewal. I have been shocked at the division within our church that may be particularly fueled by RU-vid and social media. Growing up, my parish accommodated such a variety of emphasis within the community - charismatic prayer group, processions, justice groups, pro life activity, those that preferred a folk mass, those that wanted the choir and Latin hymns. There was space for disagreement. I hope to God that we tolerate our differences with respect, but I fear how social media and you tube creates camps that seem incapable of the dialogue that should reflect the masses we all go to and share as universal church.
I have always loved the Coming Home Journey series. It has touched the very core of myself ..the innermost of me.. as a simple Catholic...my continuing search for God through my love to Jesus. Marcus Grodi has been a very good guide to noble and religious things 8n Catholicism.
I noticed something about Marcus. He and I have have a thing for Spanish saints. He mentioned at least four that have inspired him. St Ignatius of Loyola, St Teresa of Avila, St John of the Cross, and St Isidore the Farmer. Fun fact: St Ignatius, St Teresa, and St Isidore were canonized on the same day, together with St Francis Xavier, and St Philip Neri. The chauvinist Romans were saying at the time that the pope, Gregory XV, that day, 12 March 1622, had canonized "four Spaniards and a saint." The "saint" was St Philip Neri, because he was the only Italian born. Hahaha.
Greetings from the Philippines! Hello, Keith. I listened to you and your wife’s conversion story and I loved it. Marcus Grodi’s show Journey Home is my favorite at EWTN. I am a new EWTN fan, actually since the pandemic began and though we lost our youngest brother to COVID , I am glad that because of the lockdown I learned more about the richness of our faith. I am a cradle Catholic and hearing all your testimonies are so wonderful and it gave me a new perspective on Catholicism. It is sad though that so many Catholics here in the Philippines have become born again or have turned to other religions. Our Catholic schools could do better in teaching the Catechism, but sad to say, it was not taught. We were just taught the basic of basics, so the foundation for most is not as good as it should have been. But thanks to EWTN, I am growing in my spirituality, and it is better late than never. God bless you both and your families!
Come, Holy Spirit, come Teach us Faith, Hope and Love. Ps 50:5, Mk 10:27 “Whoever wishes to carry the cross for His sake, must take up the proper weapons for the contest, especially those mentioned here. First, diligence; second, distrust of self; third, confidence in God; fourth, remembrance of His Passion; fifth, mindfulness of one’s own death; sixth, remembrance of God’s glory; seventh, the injunctions of Sacred Scripture following the example of Jesus Christ in the desert.” 😇 St Catherine of Bologna, pray for us sinners!
A very nice quotation. We can learn a lot from saints. I’m publishing a weekly RU-vid video on episodes from the life of Don Bosco, entitled ST JOHN BOSCO by JOE ZAMMIT. Just like San Juan Bautista, is better that I diminish so HE can grow up I don't deserve ties HE'S sandals. Just as Saint Joseph the man of obideance and silence.. I like and love the obedience and humbleness in our church even when I know that their is so many that are arrogant, but we have so many like Sta Teresa de Calcuta, San Pio de Petrelcina ect... Every morning I thanks God for my parents that gave me the Catholic faith and the enthuciasm to scrutinize and discern with opportunities in our faith!! But above of all the Mistery of Love in the live of Christ and the Sacret family. Amen Desde Puerto Rico 🇵🇷❤
“ hypersacramental” = Institutional Catholics. And the church is loaded with them. The concept of a deep personal relationship with Jesus is very foreign to most. Especially cradle Catholics. But that is how they have been catechized for centuries. The Church is just now beginning to teach about how God calls us to a loving, intimate, personal relationship with Jesus and The Holy Spirit. Praise God!
C N. Let's not fall into a Protestant trap by using words or concepts like that or presume to analyze the interior dimensions of a Catholic person's heart.
@Simi Sami Thank you. I was an RCIA sponsor for many years for many different people. The phrase "cradle Catholic" was often heard, but somewhat disparagingly, towards those born into the Faith. I think the intent was to try to make the Inquirer feel comfortable. But it implied a "less-than" attitude towards Catholics. We are a humble lot, due to sacramental grace. Often, our faith appears "unconscious," because we are born into it. However, it does not lack depth but it might lack articulation. Sometimes we cringe when we encounter what looks like arrogance towards what we consider sacred. It can require patience and some humility to sponsor someone. I greatly enjoy Marcus because I find him to be humble, respectful, engaging.
@Simi Sami Agreed. Cradle Catholics have some of the most genuine and compassionate hearts in the world because we understand the true meaning of Corporal acts of mercy and Love, and accept that God is our one and only true Judge, Saviour and Keeper. We love our Faith and many have always had a personal relationship with Christ. Peace to those who judge us from the outside.
