Went w/ a friend to a Baptist church once. Smelling fresh blood, 3 of them followed me out to the parking lot, telling me how bad the Catholic church is/was. I listened politely sitting on my bike seat. After a few minutes of silent prayer to the Holy Spirit, for the right thing to say, they stopped. I looked up and said: "I've been going to Catholic church for over 40 years. I've never heard them say one bad thing about you." Amen

The gospels (written in Greek, by unknown authors, from 70 to 140CE) portray Jesus as famous far and wide, a prophet and healer, with great multitudes of people who knew about him, including the greatest Jewish high priests and the Roman authorities of the area, and not one person records his existence during his lifetime? If the poor, the rich, the rulers, the highest priests, and the scribes knew about Jesus, who would not have heard of him? Amazingly, we have not one Jewish, Greek, or Roman writer, even those who lived in the Middle East, much less anywhere else on the earth, whoever mention him during his supposed life time. This appears quite extraordinary, and you will find few Christian apologists who dare mention this embarrassing fact. All myth! Seek the truth!

To claim that purgatory does not exist because the exact word does not appear in Scripture is a failure to understand Scripture. What exactly is Purgatory? The Bible contains references to many Christian doctrines, but fails to call them out by name. One might as well even deny that there is something called the Bible because no such name is found in the Bible. Furthermore, one might as well deny the Trinity, Incarnation, and so forth because these exact words are not found in the Bible. The name does not make the place; the place must exist first, then we give it a name. We call this place “purgatory” because it means “a cleansing place.” Therein souls are purged from the small stains of sin, which prevent their immediate entrance into Heaven. In the Old Testament The first mention of Purgatory in the Bible is in 2 Maccabees 12:46: “Thus he made atonement for the dead that they might be freed from sin.” Some people do not accept Maccabees as book of the Bible. This is unfortunate since it is that their Bibles have been edited and are missing books.Even if a person does not accept the book of Maccabees, it at least has historical value for we can learn what the pre-Christian community believed. In Chapter 12 of Second Maccabees we read Scriptural proof for Purgatory and evidence that the Jews had sacrifices offered for those of their brothers who had lost their lives in battle. That the Jews prayed for the dead shows that they believed in a place where they could be helped (which we now call purgatory) and that the prayers of their living brothers and sisters could help them in that place. This is closely related to the Catholic doctrine of the communion of saints. During the Reformation in the 15th century, when Martin Luther was deciding to remove books from the Bible, these words in the book of Maccabees had so clearly favored Catholic teaching, that the whole book was removed from the Protestant Bible. Unfortunately for Protestants, even if they feel that the book was not inspired, it still tells us of the practice of God’s chosen people. In the New Testament In Matthew 5:26 and Luke 12:59 Christ is condemning sin and speaks of liberation only after expiation. “Amen, I say to you, you will not be released until you have paid the last penny.” Now we know that no last penny needs to be paid in Heaven and from Hell there is no liberation at all; hence the reference must apply to a third place. Matthew 12:32 says, “And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.” Here Jesus speaks of sin against the Holy Spirit. The implication is that some sins can be forgiven in the world to come. We know that in Hell there is no liberation and in Heaven nothing imperfect can enter It as we see in the next part. Sin is not forgiven when a soul reaches its final destination because in heaven there is no need for forgiveness of sin and in hell the choice to go there is already made. Revelation 21:27: “…but nothing unclean will enter it, nor anyone who does abominable things or tells lies.” The place that is to be entered (the place to which this passage refers) is Heaven (read the text around it for context). The Bible clearly implies a place for an intermediate state of purification after we die in the many passages which tell that God will reward or punish according to a person’s life. What if purgatory really doesn’t exist? Ponder the following example. Imagine a Christian man, justified by the Lord, loses his temper and yells at his next door neighbors for letting their dog dig a hole in his yard. We can see that the man treated his neighbors rudely, albeit the neighbor’s behavior was also reprehensible. His actions would be considered a light sin (called venial sins by the Catholic Church). It’s not of the same moral weight as theft or murder, but it’s still a sin. After shouting at the neighbors, with all the anger and stress in his body the man walks into his house, has a heart attack, and dies having just committed a small sin in the final moments of his life. Remember, this man is Christian and justified by the Lord, yet has committed a sin. Does he go to heaven or does he go to hell? Are all sins created equal? No, all sins are not equal and even justified men of the Lord can make mistakes and sin. If purgatory didn’t exist, the man would go to hell for his small sin. God’s mercy is so great and our God is a just God that it seems unfathomable that he would condemn a justified man to hell for a small, yet unrepented sin. The man’s soul is dirty. His actions have defiled his soul, but not the point where he has cut himself off from God. Only mortal sins cut off a person from God’s grace. So, the man, having been justified by the Lord, is destined for heaven, yet his soul is defiled by his sin (Matthew 12:36, 15:18). His soul is in need of cleansing because nothing defiled can enter heaven. This is the purpose of purgatory. Out of mercy and love God sends the man through purgatory on his way to heaven so that his soul can be purified to be able to join God in Heaven. Remember, purgatory is not a second chance for conversion; the man is already justified. If there is no place of intermediate state of purification, the man would be damned to hell! Who would be saved? Those who teach against purgatory teach an unreasonable doctrine. Will Catholics go to heaven? So, why do non-Catholics reject a teaching so full of consolation? My guess is that they want to believe that the merits of Christ applied to the sinner who trusts in Him, will remove all sin past, present, and future abdicating all responsibility for sin after justification. Yet this is also unreasonable. Only Jesus’ death on the cross makes us worthy before God the Father. We cannot stand before Him on our own merits. We need Jesus Christ. Yet we also have personal responsibility in our justification before the Lord. Luke 12:48: Much will be required of the person entrusted with much, and still more will be demanded of the person entrusted with more. If we accept Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, confess him as Lord, yet commit bad actions, God judges accordingly. Matthew 12:37: By your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned. Our acceptance of the sacrifice of Christ on the cross does not abdicate our responsibility live the Gospel. Salvation is not assured. Salvation is not by faith alone for the Bible says that we will be held accountable by our words and that much will be entrusted to us! Nowhere in the Bible does it say salvation is by faith alone. This teaching is un-Scriptural. Rather the Scriptures say that faith without works is dead (James 2:26). While Jesus can be the only acceptable sacrifice to God for our sins, it doesn’t give us a license to sin. Nor does justification by the Lord preserve us from sin. Even a justified man can commit a sin. Therefore, even though Christ’s blood on the cross makes us right before God, God still requires much from us in return. He requires us to die to ourselves each day and to choose him in everything we do. It simply doesn’t fit with God’s justice for a person to be off the hook simply because at some point in the past they became justified. We have a duty to God to obey Him for if we do not obey God we will be punished according to His justice. Purgatory is part of God’s justice.

I will always remember riding with him and a friend in a side car to a hospital to visit my sister. it was so much fun especially seeing a guards expression as he see us ride up and get off. my brother in law did not look like a VP in an insurance company and we were clean but I guess we did not meet this guy's idea of what he wanted in that hospital. but when we call said hi, sir. having a great day.he changed. a smile and cheerful words do help.

I was raised with old fashion nuns and saying the rosary everywhere was the thing to do. and thanks to them, I learn about the rosary and the faith for my parents were not Catholic but felt that we should be raised in a truly Christian Church for the times we will be encountering in the future. I thank them. I find my place there even when I tried to like Protestant services. I felt empty. that is why I think I like the Latin Rite Mass. it leads you to a peace and a road to HIM to thank HIM for HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD that ransomed us. and yes the best place to pray the rosary is on the road.

When I was a lukewarm catholic ( on paper only) I honestly didn't know anything about the faith. I was all over protestant churches and various churches until this pandemic when I started reading the Bible and learning about Our faith. No more wondering; I am back and on fire
Former Protestants who have converted to Catholicism may just save many aspects of the Church. They're unbridled infectious enthusiasm is contagious. They have a great chance to bring more souls home to the bride of Christ. The possible souls saved is incalculable.

I am a cradle Catholic.But for many years ,as I remember I just lived as a Sunday Christian....Just not very bad because of my Christian family upbringing and back ground.There was a time I really started looking for the truth,so I started going through and wondering what this truth is .Thank God after going through that doubtful period slowly but surely I started becoming a real Catholic! I’m a fellow convert. I agree with you, I wasn’t expecting the vitriol from Protestants. As a former Protestant, I had some of the same misconceptions that you did(and I’m sure other Protestants) before exploring the Catholic faith and doctrine. When I was Protestant, I never had hate in my heart for my fellow Christians, regardless of denomination. It really shocks me to the core how hateful fellow followers of Jesus can be. Thank you for doing this video and giving advice on how to start dialogue with our Protestant brothers and sisters.
In June 251 dead children's bodies were found at a former Catholic residential Native school in Kamloops, British Columbia. A week later 731 dead children's bodies were found in former Catholic Native residential schools in Saskatchewan. Within a week six Catholic schools were torched on Indian reservations in British Columbia. By the end of July thirty Catholic churches were torched or vandalized in Canada. I know a Native lady, Marlene, who attended the Catholic Native school in 1963. She was raped by a priest. I was at the Mission Hall when a man was preaching. A Native man, about sixty blurted out "My mother was raped by a Catholic priest". Nobody in Canada respects the Catholic Church.

But who has to take the blame? The one bright spot for Canada is that many of the African immigrants coming to Canada are evangelical Christians who love Christ and hate sin. Many of the Blacks coming to Canada from the Caribbean are also evangelical Christians that stand for righteousness. At the Mission Hall there is a Native man, Glenn Davies. Before 1983 he was a Catholic living in Prince George. He was a drunk and a drug addict who lived on the streets. He got saved and filled with the Holy Spirit. Since then he has preaching salvation through Christ. The pastor of the church that I attend is a Pole named Jozef Jasinski. He used to be a Roman Catholic. He was into drugs, booze, and sex. He suffered from depression. At 33 he met Christ and since then has been preaching the gospel. Canada is in trouble. Quebec, for two hundred years, was one of the most Catholic countries in the world. Yet it had the most corrupt police, the most corrupt politicians, the worst gangsters and biker gangs in Canada, some of the worst poverty in Canada, the worst drivers in North America, the third heaviest smokers in the world, and with the exception of Native communities, the highest suicide rate in North America. That is the fruit of Catholicism. Thank God for churches in Canada that preach the gospel. Christ is the only hope for Canada; not Catholicism.
@@beautardyartist I should point out that when the British conquered Canada in 1759 they reached an agreement with the former colony of New France in 1774. The Quebec Act allowed the people of Quebec to retain their language and Catholic faith. In return the Catholic church did not challenge British rule in Canada. Thus Act angered the Puritans in New England and was one of the causes of the American Revolution. The Catholic church was allowed to educate the French people of Quebec. The problem was that it was a classical Catholic education that designed to produce an elite of doctors, lawyers, and priests. It majored on Greek philosophy, Catholic dogma, and Catholic thinkers such as Augustine and Thomas Aquinas. It was weak on business, the sciences, and math. The result was that few French Canadian Catholics became businessmen, scientists, and engineers. Most businesses in Quebec were small family run businesses. In 1961 the government of Quebec took education away from the Catholic church and made it secular. Since then French Canadians have caught up to Anglo Protestants. Also the Catholic church ran orphanages in Quebec. They found out that the government would give more money to orphanages that taught mentally retarded children. Just like that they declared their orphanages as being for mentally retarded children. The children were forced to work in fields as slave labour and given little or no education. The results were predictable. Children were sexually and physically abused by nuns and priests. They became adults who were drug addicts, alcoholics, criminals, sex perverts, and suicidal. As I mentioned previously Quebec had the most corrupt politicians and most corrupt police in Canada. Then French Catholics would have the nerve to say that Anglo Protestants were only concerned with money. They were more spiritual and cared more family and God. Hardly. Between 1988-91 21 Catholic priests in Newfoundland went to prison for sexually molesting boys at Catholic residential school. Despite the damage that the Catholic church has done to Canada there still are Godly people in Canada who will do the right thing.
I grew up and spent many of my adult years as a Protestant. I never considered those who said they were Catholic as actual Christians for a couple of reasons, but mainly because I never knew a REAL Catholic who actually practiced Catholicism.

When I entered the Catholic Church 5 years ago, I was bit shocked that few of my protestant and Anglo-Catholics even cared. I was pleasantly surprised that most didn't give it a second thought. But I was also hurt by a few of my friends who cut me off completely. People who were good friends suddenly distanced themselves. They never said anything, just stopped being there.
Silverbird901 All a belief in religion does is pickle your brain and turn you into a robot. This goes for ANY religion, even non-Christian. Growing up in Italy my entire family was Catholic. I got out of this ridiculous religion at age 12. I was taught that Jesus was born of a virgin which is medically impossible. I was taught that when the priest mumbles some words from a book over a piece of bread that it miraculously turns into the body of Jesus, presto-chango. I was taught that innocent babies are born in sin and that, in fact, everybody is born in sin. I was taught that this is because supposedly there were two people in a garden, that never even existed, and a talking snake told them to eat a piece of fruit and when they did it was a no-no and everybody born after that is just fucked because of it. I was taught that "God" had to have a son, to be horribly tortured and murdered and "die for me" because I am a miserable sinner. I soon found out that there were lots of priest who were pedophile and instead of turning them over to the police the bishops just moved them to another parish and covered the entire thing up. The Catholic Church is sick and disgusting and any sane, rational person would distance himself from it.
Just found your channel and it is such a comfort. I have been drawn to convert to Catholic and the backlash from family and friends is extraordinary. The most surprising reaction from my own mother who has never regularly attended church. She looked at me with utter disgust on her face and said ‘oh no, not THEM, they are absolutely evil’. She’s rather I stay at the evangelical church, despite having no interest herself.
I felt the spirit call me when I was just 7 years old and had watched the MIRACLE OF FATIMA. I was drawn to the Catholic Church but one thing or another, especially my husband who was against the Catholic Religion, kept me from converting. I finally took the step eight years ago and I have never, in my entire life, been happier or learned so much as a convert to the faith. I LOVE Bible Study and have learned more about the Gospels, the Sacraments, especially the Eucharist and how vitally important it is to take it as much as possible, than I EVER did in the protestant churches. Maybe it's because all protestant churches were founded by mortal man, over 300,000 and counting versions, all claiming to be the true way to Heaven! I'm so happy to be a Catholic, member of the true Church founded by Jesus and the true Apostolic Church. That goes for the Greek Orthodox Church as well who has similar ceremonies as the Catholics, especially when it comes to the Eucharist. If anyone feels they need to bash the religion, and I'm talking about some of these ministers and pastors, especially a couple of them like Ray Comfort and this MacArthur. I've listened to them and they are ignorant when it comes to telling their congregation how evil the CAtholic Church truly is. Both of them have been debunked time and again by Catholic Apologist who have had years and years of education and can put them in their place leaving them dumbfounded with no answers. Listen to Steven Ray, another Baptist who became Catholic after he and his wife sat down and read the Bible one weekend and after they were finished, they realized they were members of the wrong religion and became Catholic. Don't listen to these so called "MEN OF GOD" who haven't a clue about all the rituals they call a cult that were initiated into the Church 2,000 years ago. I would LOVE to see Ray. Comfort and this MacArthur actually debate these well versed Catholics one on one instead of getting in front of their church audience and start insulting the Catholic faith. Hi Keith Nester, I appreciate this so much because I come from a totally Prodistant family & I became a Catholic at the Easter Vigil, 2017. This was the best day of my life. I truthfully have been so happy & never looked back. Sadly, though my parents have passed, other family have not taken it very well. The worst is my sister-in-law who continues to come at me every time we're alone & it is very frustrating. I am going to ask your question & try & find some peace in the family. Thank you for mentioning the abuse factor. I was a recipient of unwanted attention as a teen by an older Elder in a So. Baptist church. You are correct there is abuse everywhere.

You never hear or at least I never hear anyone say with that level of passion, I hate the Mormons, or I hate the JW's or I hate those Baptists. It makes me feel like I am on the right path, anytime I go look up something about what the Church teaches I can't find anything that goes against scripture. My favorite one to date is a man who was going through the steps to become a priest, dropped out to get married, and told his daughter when asked about the Eucharist, that no he did not believe it was the Body of Christ, that it was only a symbol. That one floored me.
A week ago I got back from a 1800 mile ride out NW PA on my ‘17 Harley Road Glide, took Hwy 30 after I hit CHI. Riding from Eau Claire,WI. Grew up solid evangelical, married a faithful Catholic from WI. Started listening to Scott Hahn at start of Covid, I have cousins who went to Grove City. I’m 69.5 years old. SH & you have begun to ‘demetholologozie’ Catholicism, to the point I actually enjoy going to mass w/ my wife & thinking seriously about attending RCIA in a couple of weeks, because we attend a “faithful/conservative”. I was even a YFC/Campus Life staff person for 7 years after college. My biggest problem is the chronic, prolific moral & apostate corruption in the Church from the Papacy down. Kieth, loved the video of you sharing while riding your bagger last week. I was undoubtedly on mine at the same time enroute back to Eau Claire. Got caught in an absolute cloudburst downpour 15 miles from home late Friday afternoon. If I’d known a Rosary I’m sure it’d come in handy then!! God saved my sorry rear end regardless. In His Grip

There was a time when Catholics couldn't have any Bible discussion sessions without a priest being present. Today with the Web and the ability to CHECK things, people have recourse to information. Both the RCC and the breakaway Protestants teach similar things. The breakaways just took away the Pope's dominion over people's lives. God promised to restore true worship in these last days (Micah 4:1-5). By implication, this would rule out, both the RCC and its breakaways, from having had anything to do with true worship all these centuries. Sadly, many who seem snug and complacent in their religions will soon have a shock. Read Jesus' words at Matthew 7:21-23. He tells the MANY:"I NEVER KNEW YOU." John 8:31 Then Jesus went on to say to the Jews who had believed him: “If you remain in my word, you are really my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” We must remember that the Jews were ALREADY a dedicated people to the True God Jehovah. It isn't hard to figure out who the MAJORITY is. NEVER KNEW also shows a LONG PERIOD of time. Why would God ask people to get out of all religions before the axe falls? Once they died, true worship died. 2 Thessalonians 2:6 And now you know what is ACTING AS A RESTRAINT, so that he will be revealed in his own due time. 7 True, the mystery of this lawlessness IS ALREADY AT WORK, but only until the one who is right now ACTING AS A RESTRAINT IS OUT OF THE WAY. Remember, Jesus promised that the GRAVE (Hell - KJV) will not PREVAIL over his Congregation (Matthew 16:18). It will be resurrected during these last days. It has. Where do most Protestants get their information about the Catholic Church? From other Protestants, not from Catholic sources. I was one of those people. Three years ago, I attended an RCIA class just to learn about the Catholic faith, and I was also prepared to debate their issues. So I told the poor priest at the first class that I had no intention of joining the Catholic Church, I was just here to learn. He shrugged his shoulders and said with a smile, “Okay.” At the next class, I gave him a typed and numbered list of questions of the usual things-Why do you worship Mary? Why do you worship idols? Isn’t the Rosary a pagan prayer that the Bible teaches to not do? Why do you pray to saints-shouldn’t you just pray to Jesus and God? What about the Reformation and Martin Luther? What about “the Bible alone (sola scriptura)? What about “Call no man ‘father’?” Why do you do what you do in Mass, and why do you take so much time in the Mass for Communion? And more…. The poor priest very patiently took my list and said we might just as well walk through this list, because others in the class probably have some of the same questions, and it will cover many of the topics included in the curriculum for the classes. So he did just that, complete with Biblical references and church traditions. Some with a capital “T” and some with a lower case “t.” So I did some followup homework on my own…And three years ago, I joined the Catholic Church.

Generally, it is the LARGER NUMBER who hate the smaller. No one would actually say: "I hate the RCC" unless they have a chip on their shoulder. Matthew 24:9 “Then people will hand you over to tribulation and will kill you, and YOU WILL BE HATED BY ALL NATIONS on account of my name. This is not in reference to the RCC but Jesus' true disciples fulfilling Matthew 24:14. Something to ponder over.
I love Catholic Church and The Blessed Mother Mary. My Mother Mary converted me to be Catholic through Her immaculate Heart. Her immaculate Heart Protects me from sin and death. She is the Ark of the New and Everlasting Covenant. I love the Blessed Mother Mary so much. I pray to Her every day.

I am really struggling in life: I met this woman I figured God the father brought her into my life for a reason. I prayed for years for a spouse who meets my qualities. The only one she is missing is being Catholic. She said she’d never become Catholic if we end up together because of the pedophilia. But there is more of that vial subject in the protestant Lutheran & Mormon church. I pray for her everyday. But she’s no longer in my life which is killing me. God knows the sorrow that is on my soul & the only thing I can do is pray I guess

The Catholic faith is like any garden, The seed of faith planted, is not always going to fall on good soil, and birds will pick up those seeds and drop them in places they will not grow in. We also know that weeds, always invade a garden and you notice the weeds only after theyve invaded. So it takes work and cooperation to remove the weeds.
remmy mills The Catholic Church is about as far from a garden as you can get. Come off it. I have a nice garden. There are no weeds in it. The Catholic Church is NOTHING BUT WEEDS IN THE FIRST PLACE. Growing up in Italy my entire family was Catholic. I got out of this ridiculous religion at age 12. I was taught that Jesus was born of a virgin which is medically impossible. I was taught that when the priest mumbles some words from a book over a piece of bread that it miraculously turns into the body of Jesus, presto-chango. I was taught that innocent babies are born in sin and that, in fact, everybody is born in sin. I was taught that this is because supposedly there were two people in a garden, that never even existed, and a talking snake told them to eat a piece of fruit and when they did it was a no-no and everybody born after that is just fucked because of it. I was taught that "God" had to have a son, to be horribly tortured and murdered and "die for me" because I am a miserable sinner. I soon found out that there were lots of priest who were pedophile and instead of turning them over to the police the bishops just moved them to another parish and covered the entire thing up. The Catholic Church is sick and disgusting and any sane, rational person would distance himself from it.

I can relate with what your daughter said. I turned away from Catholicism because the “Catholic” peers I grew up around were hardly Catholic at all, they were just a bunch of hypocrites. Thankfully in college I found a group of truly Catholic friends my age... but honestly? This is a HUGE reason why youth are leaving the Church, because it’s full of lukewarm Catholics, and people who want to be genuine Catholics look at the lukewarm Catholics and are turned away by their horrible example.
Many convert to the One True Church just before they die.... But we never see anyone joining another church in the same situation. "Where else can we go Lord; you alone have the words of eternal life" Saint Peter's words...

I had a dentist at early teens that would touch me inappropriately as he talked to me about treatment for that day before his female assistant walked in. I felt very uncomfortable and knew this was not right. I was a very quiet and shy young girl. I told my parents I just didn’t want to go there anymore and didn’t tell them why because at that time we respected the adults plus I didn’t think anyone would believe me. Because of this, I didn’t stop going to the dentist, I went to another dentist - still need a dentist. So correct, it happens all over where there are messed up human beings. So if anyone says terrible things along this line on the Catholic Church, I tell them my story. Bad apples in every bushel. Poor excuse to blame on the Catholic Church.
I am so sorry you had such a horrifying experience at the dentist, indeed this is horrifying, and not acceptable period. Praying that God has helped you heal from this experience now as an adult. ❤️
Wow, I am so sorry you had to experience that. I was s... molested at an age that I just think didn't even start school yet so imagine that. I had the hardest time going to those relatives with my family because of that one old man, that kept happening until I was old enough to PUSH him away when he'd get close to me sniffing my hair or touching me. To this day my own mom doesn't even know, the only person that knows was one of our priests, DECADES later when I found the courage to confess, I said that person had been dead for almost 2 decades but I feel like I have to try to forgive him for what he's done to me for 2-3 years (or longer, I can't even remember) WITHOUT knowing what's happening to me at that EXTREMELY young age. I was never strong enough to tell anyone, now that I'm a mother myself, I tell my kids how I don't like sleepovers, I must watch EVERYONE around them carefully and some people are just awful etc etc, I'm sure they don't understand ( the oldest is 16) but I will never allow that to happen to any of them. My mom never cared enough to keep me close and that's when that happened, when that OLD sick man would give me candy to lure me into his room, I never knew what that even was. I never wish anyone goes through that cause it shattered me completely ever since I can remember but I try to forget about it and just pray that he's not in hell because of that. I'm sorry I went on and on, I never EVER wrote or told anyone about it and I'm almost 40 years old. I really wish your dentist didn't scar you for life and I'm glad your parents listened to you to switch dentists. May God bless you!
