Girl, you left a job that didn’t appreciate you, became a full time content creator for a large audience of admirers, started your real estate empire, and you are tackling a HUGE renovation. That’s a lot of f*cking progress in my book. Most of us didn’t accomplish that much this year. Be proud. It’s a year of transformation. Change is hard, but you’re doing the hard things and will have something to show for the challenges.

@lynn B is right about everything. Besides, you opened your house to a bunch of people who seem to be friendly but surely have their own routines and habits. Obviously, we don't know the reasons but it seems quite extreme at the moment when you became a full time RU-vidr (=working from home). All in all, you basically PURGED YOURSELF OF ANY STRUCTURE IN LIFE. It'd be suspiciously weird if you didn't experience any panic attacks or other mental health issues. It seems the only ground beneath your feet is the cluttered floor of the bedroom in Elmo's house (kudos to Elmo!). Short-term challenges sound like a smart helpful idea. Take one day at a time. You'll figure it out. Change and adapting to it is a long process. Don't push yourself too much. Be good to the wonderful woman you are. Your health (especially mental health) is the most important thing in your life.

I think 2022 is probably one of the best years of your life, but you're focusing on the wrong things: - You basically got to retire/FIRE from your 9-5 - You were able to buy a 2nd house - You get to use your creative abilities to renovate a house - You were able to provide your bestie with a place to live - You get to spend more time with your Mom - You've collected awesome dating stories & know more about what you don't want in a partner - You have sponsors that help you with your lifestyle & goals -And tons more that we don't know about

You know, when I first read the video title I was surprised because I thought about all the great things she's done like on your list....I thought maybe some re-framing would be helpful for her. THEN I remembered my own struggles with panic attacks in the past (how quickly we forget when they don't happen anymore) and realized that all her accomplishments didn't "matter" at the end of the day when she was being crippled by her state of mind. Anxiety is the biggest bitch and it consumes your entire life. I still think re-framing is a good idea as it will help her dig out of this funk, perception is half the battle

I agree with the others who pointed out that the anxiety started happening when your friends moved in. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but since Anne started appearijg in videos, your mental health seems to have declined. I would never be able to share my space with friends like that. I would feel like I had to be "on" all the time and would never be able to relax. I worry that you're being taken advantage of since you now have a house you can't live in. I hope I'm wrong, but please don't be afraid to put yourself first! You should feel safe in your own home!

I think you are on to something about her friends taking advantage of her I'm sure the mom must notice it too and question it. It's her house but if they took residency for them to leave, she will have to file an eviction notice. I know knowing Bea she will ask them politely to leave. IMO, I think it was a bad idea for her to allow them to move in.

This. it's a strange situation when you have two houses and you live back with your mum. Whatever the arrangement between Bea and her friends was, it seemed to affect her mental health negatively. Hope she can bring this up while talking to her therapist. I agree with you that having friends or family at home means being on standby all the time. Being an introvert myself, I couldn't do that to my mental health. Bea's smart and tougher than she thinks she is, she'll figure it out.

To me it seems like it’s not so much her friends, but the fact that when you’re with friends you’re having fun you can get off track with your responsibilities…and she has a lot of new responsibilities. Then once you’re away from them you’re like “oh shit, I’m overwhelmed with all the things I’ve been putting off,” or at least that’s my own experience.

The anxiety started before then, she was having panic attacks before and Ann would sleep over. I think having a friend move in might have been a way to combat it but it's still a huge change to her lifestyle. I think her therapist is onto something with gradually acclimating to the situation so she can work out how to balance everything. I don't think it's a good idea to be looking for something sinister in a friend she has had for years and clearly gets on well with. I'd be more stressed out having to deal with rumours on the internet than worrying about someone leaving a teaspoon on the counter.

Also, I really don’t know the specifics in your life, but from an outsider’s perspective, I feel like your anxiety started to get really bad when your friends started planning to move in. I hope that’s not the case, but if it is, if they’re good friends, they would understand if you needed them to move out. But again, this is an outsider’s perspective.

I'm not a psychiatrist so take this with a grain of salt... The other day I was watching a video from a creator who'd taken a year long break from YT. Before her break she had mentioned struggling with anxiety. But not long after she stepped back from YT, she started a full time job and she said she was surprised at how the routine helped with her anxiety and I thought of you. It seems like your anxiety started pretty quickly after you left your job. Perhaps that change was your trigger? You also went from a solitary lifestyle to a house full of roommates. If you want to return home, you may need to give them notice. If they care about you, they'll understand you're doing what you need for yourself vs what you want. Living with your mom is different than friends.
@madddoll8685
@madddoll8685 2 года назад
I am also not a psychiatrist and I don't want to pile-on but I sort of had the same thought. I'm not able to live with ppl anymore I swear. Not sure when it happened but I'm in my 30's and not having my own space & downtime kills me. I literally burn out (even if it's time spent with people I love) I need like hrs/days/weeks to recover depending how long I'm around them. Going from doing your own random weird ADHD things & vlogging whenever you want, rocking the housing market and driving all over the place, to struggling this hard this quickly almost seems like it's a burnout and not having a cocoon of privacy and alone time anymore. Again, no hate on the roomies, you love them & I'm sure they are amazing, but seems like the feeling of being untethered and floating from place to place (likely will get better once the other house is move-in ready!) But if it were me I would attribute it to being neurodivergent & overstimulated and forced to socialize in my own house. If you aren't introverted this probably sounds insane...but just saying. I would look into things objectively and ask what is making me feel out of place or anxious and see where that leads..."I am overwhelmed... why?...because xyz...ok why xyz? Because I can't handle this and that .. why can't I handle that?..Because I am/want/need...something...why do you..." You get it. It helps!

Personally, I LOVE my friends but I’m also an introverted person and having people around all the time on a constant basis is NOT my thing. I relate to you a lot, the loneliness, the need/desire for independence as well as the need for stability. That being said, maybe if you don’t want to ask Anne and her family to leave your home (which you definitely have the right to do if it is adding to your struggle with mental health), you could live between Mom’s house and the house Anne is living in until the new home is finished (which may be a while but will give you a chance to consider your own wants and desires) and then live in the new home. If Anne is as good a friend as she seems, she’ll understand that you need your own space (so whether you ask her to leave your home or you decide to move into the newly renovated home, she should be understanding however hurt she might initially feel).

Bea, it's wild that you invited multiple new people and a dog to come live with you while dealing with so much. I would've hermitted and ghosted everyone around me. Woulda avoided contact and not let anyone into my safety vortex. I'm worried that that situation will always be overwhelming. As someone who also struggles with overwhelming anxiety, there's no way that situation would work for me. Especially in a time of distress. Do what you have to do and do what's best for you always.

So she is going to rent the house out for that friend while living in the new home when finished. Renting out to a friend would give me more stress than renting to a stranger. Renting period would give me too much anxiety. But renting to a friend to a home that was once mine ... well I just don’t see it being a pleasant experience in the long run. Any problems arise would be on Bea, and her friend might not take as good care of the home. I have nothing against the friend, I just do not see this being the optimal for sweet Bea. Now I can see why she is having panic attacks. I would be too! Maybe the friend will move out soon so Bea can get her bearings back:) - I was also thinking the friend living there might could be a trigger to not eat as healthy, I know I would go off my healthy eating if I had a friend living in my home... i was so worried when she said her friend would be living there and shutting off parts of the house... it’s so hard, I have lived through this myself and it takes a hit on self esteem issues. I went into avoidance mode, I was too nice and had feelings of guilt.

Since Anne knows about your problems with binging, and that you were trying to stay off sugar to ease your anxiety, how come she “let” you binge that cheesecake & was doing it too? You let her stay in your own house and it seems to me that she’s not really being a good friend. Also, if I was Anne, I would’ve gotten the hint that my best friend needs her house back and found myself another place to stay. Sorry I feel just so bad for Bea. I can’t imagine having ppl living in my house. I hope she gets better & gets the kind of support she NEEDS (aka, not buying & eating foods that she tries to stay away from in order to heal) 😒

That really stood out to me as well. That doesn’t seem like the type of friend to have around if they are going to be having temptations around. I know before Anne came back into her life, Bea didn’t really have another friend to rely on or hang with, but I don’t think it’s a coincidence that her anxiety has spiked so bad after having her friend, her friend’s family members, and their pets move into her space under the guise of “helping her out”. Bea, I hope you have the strength to be able to put up boundaries with your friend if it is affecting your mental health. Some people can take advantage of others who might have trouble standing up for themselves and I hope this is not the case in this situation. I want you to be able to have friends who will truly support you in your journey and be understanding if you need to set up boundaries by getting your space back. I hope you don’t feel responsible for them or their housing situation because that can feel overwhelming and contribute to the decline of your mental health even further! We’re rooting for you!!!

It’s easy to see how you’d become overwhelmed and lose control of your mental health when your routine has been obliterated by moving in a bunch of people to what was essentially your sanctuary. I know you’re an adult and you make your choices but I sure hope you’re not neglecting healthy boundaries in exchange for “friendship”. As a long time viewer I am really worried about you because you made so much progress and were doing so well. Friends are nice to have and it’s nice to help people but if it comes at the expense of your own well being, and it seems like it has, then is it really worth it? Like, you can’t even be at your house and feel comfortable there!? Bea, if that’s not a huge red flag then I don’t know what is. I don’t know. You’ve got a big heart and if your friend needed help then I get it, but you’re going to eventually need your space back. I’m 37. I’ve been there, I’ve seen it, I’ve had to make really hard choices when it comes to boundaries. It’s like watching my own past replay in front of my eyes. Let me tell you girl, this path is long and repetitive unless you make those tough calls. I just hope I’m wrong.

when you find yourself in a bad place, undo what you did to get yourself there. Whether it is getting lost while driving or having a fight with some one, think or go back to where it was all right and smooth, and start over. When were you last doing ok? Before the house guests? Maybe they need to move out. Before the job quitting? Maybe you need the 'security' of a job, but not that one. Like a part time one, or maybe in a different field. Back to your exercise routine, or whatever. I had severe social phobia and anxiety 20 years ago and got through it. There was a very fine line between people invalidating me by telling me to "just get over it already, you're FINE" and people enabling my phobias to get even worse because they wanted to "help" me. You need friends and relatives that can walk that fine line. Just mentally go back to when things were better and think "What's changed since then?"

Maybe I am looking too far into it but I feel like B is being taken advantage of and it is sending her down hill. Hopefully I'm wrong because I know how difficult it already is for her to have relationships. I'm rooting for you B. Your amazing

Protect your energy and your space, B. As an introverted ADHD queen myself, I could never share my space with anyone besides my partner - doesn't matter how close of a friend they are. In fact I kind of think living with a good friend is almost worse. On top of that adding new animals to your home and watching your own pet's anxiety spike because of that is tough. We all care about you. I'm sure it's awkward to kick a friend out. But you come first - always. If they are a solid friend they should understand your situation and have no issues moving out. ❤️

I'm 48 now. I've always struggled with my weight since my late teens. I've tried, what it feels like, every diet and fad you could think of to lose the weight, lost thousands and thousands of dollars in gym fees, only to not go at all, nothing worked. At 43, I decided I was done with diets amd started eating what I wanted in moderation. I slowly started to put less on my plate, for example instead of 5 potatoes, I did 4, then 3 and so on. I would park my car further and further away when I went anywhere, so I got in my steps. These steps were the beginning of 55 kilo weight loss over 3 years. In the end, focusing on what works for me at my pace with far less stress is what helped me the best and I stoppedweighing myself. In the end, you gotta do what works for you💙 I suffer with severe depression/anxiety, most days, I wish I was not here. You make a difference, even when you don't know it. Thank you for sharing🙏

When I read the title of this video, I was automatically mentally hit with Total Eclipse of the Heart. 😂 As horrible as 2022 seemed, someday you’ll look back and be like, “You know what, I kicked a$$ that year.” Despite the anxiety, I mean, think about all you’ve accomplished this year! You quit your job, you bought a house, you got out of your comfort zone and went on dates, you exercised regularly, you made time for friends, you scheduled a remodel (and dealt with alll the drama so far THAT normally entails!). You freaking adulted like a champ, all things considered.

do you think leaving your job contributed? I was on the verge of a breakdown before i left my job, then i left my job to be self employed and actually had one very quickly, i think it was more due to structure over money etc, i now work a few hours a day in a local shop (i was working in tax law prior), just to see people and have some structure then work for myself the rest, has helped alot :)

Hey Bea, just quick note on hormonal Balance: Beans! You need a lot of fibre to break down hormones in you body and to bond them. I highly recommend to try acacia fibre, beans and inulin. Had a Mirena put in after having my second child and it was a very bad decision for me in the end. The hormones wrecked havoc on my emotional balance to the point it was changing my personality for the worse. Had it in for a year and then pushed my doc to take it out. Within days of it being removed, I felt finally relief and could tell I was getting back to normal. Looking back, I feel like I wasted a year of my life dealing with a problem I wish I realized the source of earlier. I wish you all the best, Bea!

Bea, please read; I had bariatric surgery last year. For the first 2 weeks, you can’t eat (you just drink protein really). I was stymied at how good I felt not eating. My dietician said after not eating for a few days, your body’s inflammation plummets (and my diagnosed Major Depression disorder seemed to disappear also). It’s certain types of food that make me feel awful. I bought a food sensitivities test, and it turns out eggs (which I have eaten almost every day of my life) and anything gluten is the problem. Maybe get your food sensitivities tested? Anyhoo, just a suggestion. Love your channel. 😊

Also welcome to the Mirena nearly ruined my life club! ✌️ Something about the progesterone only factor of the Mirena didn't work for me. I ended up with severe depression and anxiety while I had it in. My depression and anxiety issues cleared up fairly fast after having it removed (7 months of having it in) but I've read others having a rough time after if they've had it in for longer periods or just get unlucky. I'm back on the pill after that experience (easiest way for me to manage my PCOS) and the only noticeable side effect I have is that I cry really easily. I still don't really understand why the Mirena did that to me, but it's a very scary side effect that isn't really spoken about or warned about when getting it.

I had very strong anxiety attacks the first six months with Mirena. Stuff that made no sense for me. Thankfully it passed with time, but there are some things I just can't do. I've done some pretty extreme sports, and now I don't even like scary rides. My advice is give it some time, and then decide what the "new you" needs to thrive. For me that means I don't climb ladders. Period. I don't need to have a panic attack because I'm afraid I'm going to have a panic attack. For you it might mean privacy, since this is a very public life you have with us. Always rooting for you!

Hey Bea ... I'm with you on b'fast. Have you considered just eating what you like and "screw b'fast foods?" In most of the world they don't just eat eggs and bacon for breakfast ... in Japan rice is a big part of the meal, in other parts of the world they eat cold cuts, vegetables and lots of other stuff. Scandinavia has some really cool breakfast foods. I made some "cut-rate congee" in the crock pot ... congee is an Asian porridge made from WAY overcooking rice .... I put a cup of rice, 4 c. of water and 2-3 c. of unsweetened cashew milk in the crock pot with some cut-up dried fruit, craisins and tiny diced fresh banana ... a little salt, some mixed nuts and let it cook overnight on "low" ... it was good!!! I also tried chicken congee ... a little weird, but pretty good and full of protein.

A few years ago, my husband and I reluctantly let a young man from church move in, temporarily. (It was freezing and his father was kicking him out.) I got so stressed out, I thought I was having a heart attack and I went to the emergency room. It wasn't a heart attack so the insurance didn't pay the $2,000. I had that kid here for several months. I know now, after 3 times trying to help people, that I can't handle the stress of having extra people in my house.

From 2018 until mid-2020, I did a whole house renovation. It was very stressful and I was so happy when it was finally finished. Early this year, I sold that house and bought a house in the same city as my parents. Unfortunately, it's a fixer upper as that's all I could afford. I'm currently living with my parents while I complete the renovations and it's just as stressful as last time. Like you, I'm re-ordering all the same stuff that I put in my old house because it's all stuff I liked and I don't want to bother redesigning things. Same kitchen cabinets/countertops, same bathroom vanity, same toilet, same bathtub, same flooring, etc. I'm even planning on painting the walls the same colors. I can't wait until these renovations are complete and I can have my own space again.

Hey Bea , I'm just a stranger on the internet who is struggling along too but your year has involved alot of change and some people need structure .You're one of those people . I think it would benefit you to get a part time job or to start volunteering somewhere that has a set schedule that you aren't having to formulate and force yourself to stick to. Also, allow yourself to grieve all the change that has occurred. You moved out of your home with your mom and created a new one that was all your own but both feel different now in ways that are outside of your control . I think that would have anyone feeling loss .
