That's not a lathe, that's a CNC lathe. They can potentially get a 3D scan of your foot. Once you have a model the CNC can do the rest. I'm not sure if the shoe last is bespoke in this case, but potentially it can be.
You're unreal, absolutely unreal. This is truly an impressive piece craft you perform! Perfect down to the last detail! And what I wouldn't give for having a pair of shoes like what you make. Sadly, I'm in Sweden.
@@nextlifeonearth Cost of shipment, for one. And second... these shoes are finely crafted to measurement. Means they make a cast of your foot and then build the shoe around that. Its another thing that separates this make of shoes from the industrial production you buy in a shop. Old fashion craftmanship.
while i am impressed, i could not stop myself from praying throughout the video, "please let there be no accident. please no accident. no accident. please. ever."
Atualmente é muito fácil, o cara só apertou botões de máquinas computadorizadas. Queria ver como se fazia há 60 anos. Meu pai tinha uma sapataria e diversas formas. Tinham que ser feitas a mão, aí sim era artesão
@Regis Araujo - suggest you watch the videos of them handcrafting their shoes - with the exception of the sewing machine for the uppers, they do not use any other form of powered tools!
The first and second are for the assembly pins. The third and fourth are for the insertion of a last hook, which is used to pull the last out of the finished shoe. The big hole at the end is for the "last thimble." This provides a solid place to mount the last (usually on a lasting pin) while the shoe is being made.
Id say it depends on your usage. A lot of lasts are used to hammer nails into during the shoe making process so you would have that to worry about. Though you could 3d print the blank that is then copied
Is it possible to make a pair of shoes 100% by hand? No machinery at all? I have all the tools for making small leather goods and want to delve Into the world of making shoes, what do you think?
Не понимаю восторгов это обыкновенная работа колодочника .Первую колодку делает модельер вручную потом машина копирует по полнотам и размерам .Такие машины стояли на многих фабриках
These shoes are works of art, I hope they get worn though as that's what they are so beautifully designed to do. The pleasure the owner has must be quite special. The use of so many hand tools was fascinating and the skill to use them so accurately, I had often wondered how these seems were done by hand and the order of the process. Thanks that was fascinating and my appreciation for handmade shoes increased massively.
I believe they are pulled out during or after the welt is sewn on the upper. If you watch his next video of the shoe crafting process, the nails look to be gone before the midsole is glued on.
