Hey woody, thank you for the video. I have a couple questions about substitutes for the cleaners you used. Do you think you could soak the piece in isopropyl alcohol instead of lacquer thinner? And could you use a thinner oil than 1040 after that (like 5w30)? I’m trying to use what I already have on hand if possible. Also, where exactly do you apply the oil to? It’s hard to tell in the video.
It is best if it's a lacquer thinner and about the oil use singer oil. Put the a drop of oil in the outer side of the bearing if you check it their is some kind of cloth or felt cloth inside put their the oil more or less 5 drops.
