Excellent. I just joined and I have to say, the iRacing interface for a newbie is about the least intuitive I have ever seen in any video game, sim or otherwise. Now I have an idea what to do so thank you!
Honestly what inspired me to make this channel to begin with! The UI is absolutely outdated and convoluted beyond all belief! I'm glad that my video has genuinely helped so many make the transition into this kind of simulation/game a little bit smoother. I love the idea of making iRacing more approachable to all! Let me know if there's anything else you need help with along the way and I will do my best!
Congratulations! That's no easy task! Let me know how oval class C goes for you. I've definitely found my competition in class C road racing lol. Good luck and well done!
Thanks for the information really helpful as I have been.an.rfactor 2 sim racer for a while and swapping to have a go at iracing your video helped a lot with the general licence format. See you on the track. Cheers
Thanks for the info! Exactly what I needed. Driving RF2 for a while now but the lack of easy online races wanted me to try iRacing. Looking forward to more videos!
Tbh I started with Assetto Corsa and ended up moving my way to iRacing for that exact reason. iRacing is king when it comes to their ranking system and punishment system for poor driving. It keeps everyone honest! Hope you enjoy iRacing as much as I have! More videos to come my friend!
GT3 MOTORSPORT I also played assetto Corsa / automobilsta and ACC, I really enjoy acc but have way to much lag and frame rate problems. On rf2 180+ on triple 1080 with high settings and with ACC glad to get 55 fps with mid/high settings. Tonight or maybe tomorrow i will start the iracing adventure:)
I couldn't agree more about the frame rate issues that pop up in ACC, its pretty bad. And my rig isn't terrible, so I have a hard time understanding why they cant flush that out. But the way the cars feel, and sound is almost unparalleled. However, the main point of racing for most of us is the multiplayer aspect! So that's why iRacing is absolutely king. Good luck on your iRacing career my friend! Let me know if I can help with anything else! And if you end up going road racing for your career, let me know when you make it license class C and maybe we will meet on the road!
GT3 MOTORSPORT its a shame that they didn’t fixed it till now. My plan is certainly to go for road racing. One more question what do you recommend for membership. Now it’s 50% off I consider 1 or maybe 2 year sub, or if I get the 1 year sub will there be a discount along the way for renewal? Otherwise the 2 year will be the best way?
I would absolutely go for the 1 year subscription! You will almost CERTAINLY run into some type subscription deal along the way over the next 12 months. Plus, you can be sure this way it's something you'll be wanting to do long term! I have no doubt that you will as you already have sim experience! But why not hold out and make sure! That would be my advice! Hope I helped clear up some things!
Thanks man! Love the content. Tgis really mapped things out for me. I was quite confused. Something tells me im gonna have a VR on my head for the next 8 hours. Liked and subbed!
I'm glad this could help my friend! Enjoy! I soon too hope to join you in the VR realm of racing! That's the next level! Good luck and let me know if i can help with anything else!
A big thanks so much for this video! I have been using AC for a short time and trying to learn, all the time looking at iracing but not knowing anything about it,,, this helps tremendously! Thanks again!!!!! W
I really appreciate that my friend! I too started with AC and then moved to iRacing after! AC is a solid foundation for the start of sim racing! Good luck my friend, let me know if I can further assist in anyway!
I am really trying to get into the nascar aspect of iracing. So far, I’m liking it! It is just annoying when people crash into you on turn one. Any tips on how to avoid this?
Thanks so much Dave! More content to come VERY soon! Trying to bring you guys some race content to break down very soon! Cheers again for the support and comment!
It is a gaming PC, however, it isn't the highest end gaming computer out there! Just this weekend I have made some major upgrades! But the beautiful part of iRacing is, it runs on most computers! As long as you have a decent amount of ram and even just a sub par video card you should be able to run it! Let me know if you wanted to see specs or anything along those lines! Cheers!
I really want to get into F1 racing so hypothetically how much money do I have to spend to be able to race there without having to spend any more money?
I just have at least one question. Would I be able to do both road and oval licenses at the same time. As well as the different type of class you’d be able to run, say like if I wanna run road GT as well as Road Prototype, would I be able to do both around the same time?
Thanks for the comment, to answer your question, you can absolutely do both oval and road licenses at the same time. Although, racing in one, won't upgrade the other of course. But iRacing doesn't limit you to only upgrading one license at a time if that's what you're asking! And as far as classes go, that's the best part! As long as you have the viable license to race in that specific license, iRacing does not discriminate on what type of series you enjoy (the more series you play in, the more money they make lol)! Hope this helps!
just got 3 months for just below 4 € ... that´s okay for racing school i guess :D but i gotta say, they have their ways to make people spend quite alot of money... you´ll have to be pretty resistant ... one question though: so official races are the only occasion you´ll gain/ lose safety and i-rating, right?
I hear you on the whole having to be resistant part lol, I've definitely cracked a few times because i didn't want to wait til the next available race week! And to answer your question, yes! Exactly that, you can do whatever during practice sessions whether they are with people or not and you will not lose rating. However, during races you will absolutely be rated for better, or worse! Hope this helps, thanks for leaving a comment!
I don't believe it's a full 100% length of a regular NASCAR race if that's what you're asking? And to answer your AI question, no. There are are no AI in official iRacing races! Every single driver on course is going to be a real person!
@@gt3motorsport620 Thanks for your quick reply! Yes, I was asking about the length of the race you where correct, can you be able to find out for me? So no ai? Do you win anything? Sorry if that was rude. Thanks again.
@@mikeyeden5791 no problem at all my friend! And you were absolutely not rude at all! So, to answer your question is kind of difficult as there are 9+ different NASCAR series with various lengths! But I'm going to go ahead and assume if it's anything like road racing, the length will become more and more realistic to actual NASCAR as you advance through your licenses! And yes! No AI at all. You won't win anything except moving forward in your ranking progression. But if you reach to pro licenses, they do have cash prizes for different tournaments! So it's worth the grind if that's your end goal! Hope this helped!
@@gt3motorsport620 Thanks sir! Hope you have a Happy Easter if you celebrate. Wow 9 different ones!?!? I just have a regular X-box 360 controller is that OK to use? I tried to do a steering wheel and pedal, I had to take it bake, I am handicap, I can not use my legs and feet as a normal person driving would be able to.
Thank you for that! Happy Easter to you as well!! And I'm sorry to hear it didn't work out with the wheel and pedals!! I just did a little bit of research and found out, I've been wrong this whole time!! Apparently you CAN use an Xbox 360 controller! Here's a link I found that may assist you with setting it up! I wish you the best of luck, and let me know if you need any further assistance! I'd love to get you on the road! If this link doesn't help, I do know, its definitely possible! So that's something ;) Best of luck my friend! www.reddit.com/r/iRacing/comments/6dwo6u/xbox_controller/
Do you have a computer already? Or are you referring to needing a computer and a wheel setup from scratch? Either way, within that price range you can make it happen! Just let me know more specifically what you intend on getting!
@@gt3motorsport620 i have a computer my buddy built it im not a tech guy but my video card is on par with ps4 it runs project cars fine and i been looking im more interested keeping it around 1000 i can build my own stand and i am thinking going with the 3d glasses b4 i go with 3 monitors i guess im looking for a good starter wheel a little better than the logitech gt wheel im a total newbie
Well it is terrible! I own 6 complex sims! iRacing is not friendly at all !!! For the first time since 2016 I now have to try to reinstall, because the F*** game will not start!!
