Hi teacher.thanks for this video.im from iran.787 is my favorit.but you teach only cold and dark and taxi of this aircraft?i dont know decsent and landing.help me please
16:20 A little bit surprised the speed brake is deployed, and worry if it will be recovered. 44:58 "Speedbrake, oh, it's on for some reason XDD" Good catch!!
My neighbour is a B787 captain and because of Corona mostly at home. He asked me about a sim model. I am using X-Plane11.50 and there is no such a suitable model! Now I saw your tutorial and the QualityWings Boeing 787 on Prepare3D (that I son't own) and sent him the link. His reaction was "I'm really shocked - I never knew there was such software for amateurs !!! And I'm serious In my opinion, the resolution and reliability of the displays are really fantastic and represent the plane 1: 1". As I have simulation hardwire, he asked if I can set Windows, prepare3D and the QualityWings model on my iMac27 (High End), so he can train too. Long story because I would like to get some tips and hints for Prepare3D usage and aircraft model installation (need of additional plugins etc.) Thanks for help
This is a very comprehensive and focused video that manages to communicate an enormous amount of relevant information in an easy, friendly and efficient manner. Thank you.
I've been contemplating on getting into this aircraft and now I think I feel comfortable enough to get started. I'm a Boeing guy so this is pretty easy to learn, thanks for the tips and the guidance, extremely helpful.
Can you please make a video of how to plan an approach and land 787 please. I prefer listening to you then other yt video. I can understand your teaching more easier.
Very nice video! I fly the 787 in FSX-SE and found it really hard to use the EFB to begin with, especially getting an accurate value for the takeoff trim setting. But your video has exposed much more of what it available on this aircraft model, much of which does not seem to be very well documented ! Thank you. Like you, I add my approach and landing into the FMC, knowing I can always change it later if need be. It gives a more accurate distance/fuel burn calculation. My only criticism would be to maybe go a little slower! You speak quite quickly and move across the displays very quickly. Some viewers might find this a problem when trying to learn. Well done. Great piece of work!
Thanks for the very detailed tutorial! You explained each step very well. If I wanted to save the panel state up to but not including Start R engine (and then left) could load it without going thru entire process on next flight? TIA.
You can use the keyboard, you used to enter the ZFW into the EFB, to put in the exact fuel and passenger payloads, instead of using those very annoying sliders ;-)
AviationPro I really did, it was greatly accurate, and not only that, it’s shows me what to expect from a future 787. I have one at the mo in x-plane 11, but no pop out windows! I’m about to add a second display for the PFD/MFD and a 3rd display for the centre console. This won’t work with my 787 😢. But just getting one up and running WITH FMC! great video dude. 👌🏻👌🏻
Nice video, so we maintenance crew rarely keep the battery on, we only use it if we need to start the APU when there are no external powers… also the 787 is very hungry for electrical power it has 2 generators on each engine with a total of four each capable of supplying 235VAC 250KVA
Another way to make the QW787 cold and dark automatically is to go to the QW787.cfg in the QW folder in P3D folder, and then remove the // from //panelstate=coldanddark.pnl If you know a thing or two about Java programming you would know that // is a comment to your code, so in other words the text behind the //does not have any meaning. But if you remove the // it will become a coded command to start the plane in a cold and dark state by default.
Good video! But one thing I noticed was that you left the strobe light on the whole time. This isn’t your fault though because cold and dark panel does not turn off the strobe light, so if anyone else is reading this remember to turn it off when you set cold and dark. Great video though as always!
Thanks! Yeah indeed, good catch. When I was editing I was wondering: is that switch really on? Never touched it! Hope they update the panel state sometime :)
You are amazing..I loved this video..I retired from American Airlines..6 years ago.and this is so fun for me...I was a Ramper...so I want to see the take off,and landing...is it out...????
Does REX Skyforce gives you the sunlight illumination on panels? Actually it was moving with the aircraft when it was doing pushback! That was awesome. How can I set that up?
Great video. How do you enter Mach speed into legs page in this aircraft? Also, releasing parking brakes is done via pressing the brake/rudder pedals, not the parking brake lever. It will release the parking brake and will keep aircraft from doing any sudden movements.
@@AviationPro Yeah those modes work, but I was wondering if I could customize my vertical profile as such from the legs page. I myself have tried many combinations and have not been able to enter Mach speed as sector restriction. Really useful for oceanic crossing, especially when you plan on being away at the transit point. One would think they would include such a simple, but really useful FMS feature.
Hi. Amazing tutorial!! Thank you so much!! I have a question How can I know how much runway I have to spare in case of a rejected takeoff when I'm doing my performance calculations because it doesn't show there
I am a beginner of this simulator, please teach how to you switch the cam smoothly, I need to click me right buttom of my mouse everytime and its annoying
Nice video, helped me a lot, but how do you get the dispatcher to show you kg and not lbs, would be glad if you can help me fix this little problem. Thx :)
AviationPro thank you very much. Found it and now it works, i would love to see from you a pfpx tutorial and how you plan your flights etc. Would be interesting. Keep up the good work
Hi, Very informative. Question thou! Is it still buggy? For instance I’ve read that sometimes one of the engines won’t start on pushback? VNAV issues? Also watching videos, I’ve noticed there is flaps retract call outs after take off. Which is neat, does it also do it on approach and landing phase of flight? Thanks Merry Christmas
great video thank ! after 4yrs of having a break of flightsim I would like to move from fsx to p3dv4.And of course 787 is my fav aircraft. just wondering if asn weather prog would work? thanks for any replies
Very helpful tutorial, alleen vroeg ik me af bij het invullen van de waardes van de fuel en de payload. Ik heb alleen een slider in de sim jij kan de waardes ook zelf invullen. Weet je waar ik dat zou kunnen instellen?
Great video...but I do have 1 question...with the ETOPS portion and following a NAT track..is it possible to simulate SLOP with a right deviation of 1 or 2nm? Or is there no way to offset your track with this aircraft?
