Today you’ll need:
A measuring Instrument, like a small measuring cup or a syringe.
A container, I’m using a 10ml Dropper bottle.
Glycerine.
Distilled Water
And Propylene Glycol.
All todays ingredients a GRAS, which means ‘Generally Recognised As Safe’ as additives in foods.
So we take 1ml of De-Ionised Water and put iit into the our Bottle.
Now take 4.5ml of the Glycol and also add that to the bottle.
And do the same with the Glycerine, add 4.5ml.
Then give it all a good shake.

Good day I was not able to buy propylene glycol, I know Amazon and Ebay have it but delivery to Switzerland is 4 times the price of one litre of propylene glycol!!! I have glycerin, would it be enough, if yes, what is the ratio? Thank you in advance for your reply and time. Best wishes

Hi! Looking for an option to make my own retarder, so thank you for the video. However, I've read somewhere that you should have a ratio of either 1 part glycerin based product to every 5 (or 9) parts water. Your brew here doesn't do that and wondering which "advice" to use. Does the propylene glycol function as part water? I thought the glycol and glycerin were similar in makeup...making this a near 9 part glycerin/glycol to 1 part water -- opposite of what I've read elsewhere. 🤔

Hi Ruben, I’ve not heard of that ratio before. But I’ve been using my Retarder over the summer to great effect, as you may or may not know, the UK has had a banging summer 👍👍👍 So temps in the Shed have been high!!! And with this ratio the spraying has continued 👍👍👍

@@BudgetModeller 😎👍 Thanks!! If it works and does the job 😁👌 What ratio do you use when you add to your paint(s)?

@@rubensandoval8528 it depends totally on the situation…I start with a drop of Retarder, you’ll see straight away if it’s working, then add a drop at a time. I use it when airbrushing. If it dries as it hits the surface, you get that rough surface, just keep adding a drop at a time, there is no hard and fast rule, just as and when 👍👍👍

It really doesnt make sense using alcohol in a retarder when it does the opposite than the glycerine.
