I put the battery to charge normally with the process you showed in the video and after 10 seconds it stops charging and throws me out and doesn't charge. I don't understand why this happens?😓

@@Robocraze I don't think so. The seller of this product must include a complete manual easy to understand and in a correct language. The manual that comes with it is difficult to understand since one is not sure what to look for, as differente kind of batteries (like Li-Ion) as well. For instance to discharge a single LI-ion battery, it does not explain how to do it or what to check for in an undestandable manner. With all the chargers easy to use in the market I don't know how could I make a mistake to buy this one.

Hello, No, the imax b6 does not support 20v and it is not recommended to use this charger for charging a laptop.

Hi Darth, Yes the B6 charger will detect that the charging is complete and stop charging. It will also make a beeping sound.

Of course, there is a dependency and that is that the power you are supplying from the adapter is capable to outputting the wattage and amperage needed.

So, for example: 5200 mAH 2S Lipo: Charge at 1C: 5200/1000= 5.2 Amps. Fully Charged Voltage for 2S lipo is 8.4V Power Draw: 5.2A * 8.4V = 43.68 watts. Your adapter must be able to supply that

Mine is a 5200 mah battery. But the charger only goes to 5.0 is it safe to charge it at 5.0 even tho it’s a 5.2

K K so i bought the Imax B6AC, youre saying to plug the charger in to the wall socket first, then plug in the output to my deans connector on the battery then plug in the balancer and then set the settings and start the charge?

As a general rule, you can charge the battery between 0.5C-1C, hence for 2200mAh battery, you can select a charging rate of 1.1A-2.2A (provided your adapter can provide the same).

Hi Vikrant, It's best to order an XT60 cable. Aligator clips can be used but you must exercise extreme caution since the ends of the clips maybe exposed.

Since you have connected your batteries in series, the effective capacity of the battery pack does not increase but rather the voltage. Since the effective capacity still remains at 220 mAh, it is still recommended to charge the batteries at 0.2 A or less

6500 mAH batteries should be theoretically be able to charge at 6.5A, but this heavily depends on the battery quality. So to be safe, its best to charge at 3A, provided the adaptor being used also has over 4A-5A capacity

This charger is capable of charging any 11.1V lipo battery. Please read the instructions on your battery carefully to avoid any explosions.

For example: If your battery is 5200 mAh - you can use up to 5 Amps to charge it since that is the max this charger can output, however, the charging current is also limited by the adapter being used. I feel your frustration haha. I opened mine up for the 1st time after a 6h drive at midnight, confusing little bugger I guess balance charge is all I'll use it for. Need we use the discharge for Lipo often? Never done it before....

@@redndeyes Turns out my model is older. Skyrc could not give me any info on it. It self destructed a week or two later. Despite buying it new-in-box, Skyrc refused to honor the warranty because it was an older model. I replaced it with the ToolKitRC M6D dual charger, which I like a LOT better. It's quite small and has a much nicer UI and display.

Hi Fest Sam, Yes, 1.0 A 11.1v for a 2200mAh lipo battery is a safe setting to charge your battery with.

Take 2.2A because you have 2200mAh then your voltage (11.1V) and 3S of you have 3 cells

The charger will not start charging the battery until it detects it using the balance wires. It cannot be used by just connecting the +/- connectors

The charger is designed to automatically stop when the charging gets completed

Your 20A adaptor will be able to supply 10A. But please ensure the wires and the battery you are connecting it to also can handle such large amounts of current.

It depends on your battery capacity and the charge rate (higher the charge rate, faster your battery charges - but it may heat up as well, so should be always careful)

I would honestly be willing to pay someone to tell me exactly what to charge all my life for batteries at safely I have a k1 ISDT smart charger I went with the one that he used in this video I'm pretty sure I had all the settings right I think it was the charger itself that was defective cuz the battery was pretty much brand new and was working fine but I tried to charge it on that thing and got a huge pop followed by smoke out of the charger not the battery but I think it also toasted the battery as well in the process right now I was about to charge both of my 2200 mAh 3s 35c batteries on my new charger I just plugged it in and one of them is at 9.4 volts but the other one was sitting at 8.3 volts total so that one is pretty much fucked right? Or is there a way to save it? For the battery being used, the maximum recommeded would be 1.3A. But please also check the current rating of your adaptor. If the adaptor you are using is >2A, then you can charge at 1.3A, but if it is 1A or less, then the charging current should be chosen appropriately

Hi, Yes you can try increasing the capacity slightly but it is recommended to not do so. It could also be the battery losing capacity over time and hence not charging to full potential.

Hi - I had the same problem and was going to throw the battery pack away. Look on RU-vid for repairing or restoring a Lipo battery. I discovered that you can set the charger to Nimh or Nicad and charge for a couple of minutes and that restores the cells. Then you can balance charge the pack and all is fixed

Hi, Charging current is kept under the limits for safety purposes. The current used also depends on the wire used for charging. If the adapter allows you to draw 3A, then its safe to keep it at around 2.5A

Voltage should be 7.4 (2S). Regarding current - I don't know for certain, but 8A seems much too high. I would start by charging with a much lower current (~1A) to be on the safe side, at least until someone more knowledgeable tells you otherwise.

If you use 1C setting, the B6 will try to charge the battery with 5.6A. But you have to ensure that your adaptor supports this current rating. If your adaptor supports less amperage, then reduce the C to match 75% of the max output of your adaptor. For example if your adaptor supports 4A, then you can charge it at 0.5C which would approx be at 2.3A

Hi, This could indicate that the battery terminals are not connected in the correct polarity to the charger. Please check the connections to ensure that the battery terminals are connected in the cirrect polarity. Hi Roger, The optimal storage voltage per cell is 3.85 volts. Since your battery is a 4 cell battery, 3.85*4 = 15.4v which is pretty close to what you are reading. Hence 15.17 volts is normal.

Set the charger at 7.4V at 3 amps.. Always move 3 decimals to the left with mah... so 3000 mah is 3 amps.... 900mah at 0.9 amps.. lower is always safer!!

That number represents the number of mAh that have been pushed into the battery till now. In other words the amount of mAh used until now to charge the battery. Due to inefficiencies of charging, this number might go higher than the battery capacity.

For a 1000mAh 1S LiPo battery with a nominal voltage of 3.7V, you can use the iMax B6 Digital LiPo battery charger with a charging current of 1A or lower, LiPo mode, and 1S cell count.

Full charge voltage of the battery depends on the type of battery being used and the voltage per cell. Manufacturers will specify the voltage of the battery on the label. Some common values are 11.1v, 7.4v etc. We would advise you to check the manufacturers recommended voltage for the battery you have.

It is safer to charge at rate of half the rated amps, so as to stick to the safer side, ie 1A. If you have a really good quality adaptor, maybe you can try at 1.5A
