Love watching you draw with both pencil and colour, very good art work I'm just getting back into my drawing again after a long time out been inspired by a friend at work and watching yourself, and just bought a peace of art from my friend a very good peace it is worth every penny. Beautifully done. I really struggle with noses, mainly the shading but after watching your fantastic video I'm confident I can draw and colour a realistic nose! I've got the gorgeous luminance pencils so I'll be following your tutorial step by step until I've mastered the human nose. You are an amazing artist. I've subscribed to you and given thumbs up. Emily, you do very good tutorials, and I enjoy watching them. You are thorough in your instruction, something many are not. I do wish the volume on this one had been recorded higher, as I have my volume set on the highest and can barely hear. Speak louder, too, Dear, and the videos will get better and better. I think for a realistic face 4or 5 hours and sometimes if it is with a shirt and it is suuuper detailed it take 8 hours

hi I am learning color pencil portrait and want to invest in good quality supply but here I see you have used two different product polychromos and luminance ....they are expensive if I want to invest in only one product which one I should go with? any suggestion please that would be great help

She is using artist grade pencils. They have varying degrees of pigment in them, less wax and that is why she can layer beautifully. They run about $1.50 per pencil. Just purchase what you need for your project. Go to an art store and ask them for student grade colored pencils. There are some great knock off you can start with.

A cheat for the pigment problem is mineral spirits but it does change the texture.

Maybe this has already been mentioned, but the colors she used are listed in the video, on the left hand side of the screen. But the letters are white so you can barely see them. Really great drawing, though!

Hi, thank you for your great tutorials! I see you use bristol smooth paper, many other colored pencil artists use bristol vellum instead. What do you suggest to use if I want to achieve a smooth finish using Polychromos?

ik zou graag kleur potloden willen die wel goed zijn maar wel wat goedkoper dan die van faber castell, heb je een idee watvoor soort potloden dat kunnen zijn? ik vind je tekeningen trouwens super mooi en ik leer er veel van😊

Leuk om te horen dat je er van leert. Als je kleur potloden wilt die wel goed zijn, dan zou je er toch in moeten investeren. De Faber Castell kleur potloden zijn al goedkoper dan sommige andere merken. Je kunt ook een paar kleuren los kopen of de set van 48. Ik heb geen ervaringen met andere kleurpotloden die goedkoper zijn.

I had a doubt....earlier when I had to shade a face first I used to apply all the base colors and then blend with water and then I used to repeat it till I get the result.....is this method correct and also can we use Prussian blue instead of dark indigo

I only blend with the pencils. I usually use a very light color or white.

Wat bedoel je met 10% en medium pressure? Hoe kom je dan aan die 10% bedoel ik, want medium pressure is toch 50%? En is een buff titanium potlood een soort blender potlood zoals Derwent die heeft?
