Just now learning late in life trying to learn how to roller blade so far I've gone through 6 boxes band-aids hoping I can get it right like ur doing now
Did you guys know that the animator for Tarzan actually saw these people doing those kind of moves with cans and he used that idea and those movements for that scene in Tarzan where he's sliding on the branches of the tree I just thought that would be a fun fact to share
😅 still learning the lemon drop…. And I don’t know how to stop without an object yet. I tried, i failed, im confused on how to put my toes and feet. So i just fall
Its so funny seeing the difference in names between figure skating and roller skating for lemmon drops we call them swizzles half snake we call it half swizzles lol
My great grandmother used to own a line of inline and quad skates back in the day. V-Lines. I'm really sad I don't fit into the last living pair in the family- a pair of all black and metallic 3 wheel inlines in a size 8. Its my goal to get back into skating once my knee and plantar fasciitis heals up. I've gotta keep the tradition alive yknow?
@@PollySkates if you lived in or around Chicago in the 60's-90's you'd know of these skates! My family owned a skate shop for both regular skates and ice skates. Great grandma is still alive but has dementia, now I'm really trying to lean back into those hobbies I had as a child from my family.
I just got roller blades hi have never used them by my self but I am I want to learn once I learn I want to do cons can you show easiest come check please❤❤❤❤❤❤
I'm considering getting some skates but I'm kind of nervous, do you have any recommendations on a brand that's good for beginners, or if inline skates would be ok?
Is it easier to maneuver like this on a downhill? I try to do lemons/half swizzles on a flat surface and it’s near impossible for me to do! But when I’m going downhill, these moves become a lot easier.
Well on hills you don’t have to get speed first the incline gives it to you where on flat ground you gotta push it harder. Hills are kinda harder in general tho haha pick your poison maybe? 😅
@@PollySkates gotcha! I guess my confusion is coming from ice skating- it’s so much easier to do precise movements like swizzles and half swizzles on the ice compared with the pavement (and with less effort)! I guess it’s just a matter of getting used to the concrete and building up that leg strength to push and pull harder.
I didn’t watch all the games but I see people talking about all the foul calls for the C’s. When I watched the last few minutes of the game however I saw Jimmy shoot a ton of FTs. Not all warranted. But looking to hear what some of y’all think.
Hi, learning to rollerblade and love your tutorial videos. Where did you get your cones from? Are they wind proof? Would love to get some for myself 👍😀
I got them from shoptask skate shop! They are slalom cones… not totally wind proof but you can use something else heavier like pine cones or chalk is nice too
