Vehicle used is a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse. This job should work for most Mitsubishi vehicles with the 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine. #MitsubishiStarter #MitsubishiStarterReplacement #StarterReplacement
I just did the starter on my 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander SE. I did not remove the intake manifold, that would add a lot of time and work. What I did was remove the throttle body, removed the front bumper and then you can access the two starter bolts. After that you can slide the starter toward the pulleys on the engine. However, you made need to file a bit of the webbing down on the intake manifold but it will come out. It took me 2.5 hours to figure this out but I installed it very quickly and got it running again. I hope this helps everyone to remove those buried starters.
Slow cranking is not actually starter motor , it is usually other things like , earth cable , battery connections rusted , the battery itself may not be the right one or fails under a load test , and even faulty Relays can cause a slow cranking
Gidday, this is very difficult compared to six cylinder Mitsubishi motors. I would remove the starter motor from my 3 litre engine from the bottom in about 5 minutes.
Can someone help me how to get to my starter motor 2008 ML triton . Can't afford the mechanic this time decide to change myself, any tip much appreciate fellas !
I can’t get those 4 bolts out of the last thing you need right before the starter so that I can remove the bolts of the starter. This sucks I’m like right there too
The last two bolts on the starter are very soft and keep wanting to strip. How did you get around it? I can't seem to fit a 13 on even if I hammer. I just don't want to fully fuck it up
