This video tutorial shows you how to prepare fabric and embroidery hoops and how to attach the embroidery module, stitch plate, presser foot and needle in just a few easy steps. Finally! I’ve been looking for this tutorial. Most of the videos I’ve seen are just a bunch nonsense. They just talk a lot and skip the most important informations.

So glad i found this instruction. I have only done embroidery a few times and each time have been intimidated by the machine. makes me nervous. :) Ive moved to NC and the closest Bernina shop is 35 miles away so cannot always get there. Thank you for posting and would love to see more on selecting and downloading patterns to the B790 machine :)

When you say Embroidery Needle SUK - is it the 70/10 ? Thank you!

Hello Carol, SUK Needles come in various sizes. It depends on what fabric and thread you are working with. Size 70/10 is more for fine fabrics.

Wo genau sind die Unterschiede zwischen der 790 und der 790 Plus? Handelt es sich nur um ein Softwareupdate bzw. um zusätzliche Designsoftware für den Rechner oder gibt es technische Unterschiede zwischen den beiden Maschinen (denn der Preisunterschied zwischen den beiden Modellen ist nicht gerade gering)?

Hallo Hammel Bammel, es handelt sich um ein Firmware-Upgrade, welches an der Maschine ausgeführt wird. Informationen zu den neuen Funktionen findest Du auf unserem Blog, unter anderem in diesem Artikel: blog.bernina.com/de/2017/08/neue-stickfunktionen-b880-embroidery/, und in folgendem Video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NRmqUqgH3hk.html. Für die BERNINA 790 und 880 können die zusätzlichen Funktionen mit dem Embroidery PLUS Upgrade-Kit gekauft werden. Bei der BERNINA 790 PLUS und der BERNINA 880 PLUS wurden die neuen Funktionen bereits werkseitig installiert. Liebe Grüsse aus Steckborn

Is a Bernina 790 upgraded with the plus software the same as a Bernina 790 Plus? are there any differences in funtionality?

Hi Ellis H, thanks for asking. Yes, a B 790 that is upgraded with the PLUS Upgrade Kit is the same as a BERNINA 790 PLUS. There are not differences in functionality. An upgraded B 790 will also include the BERNINA Midi Hoop which isn't part of the B 790 PLUS' standard accessory package.
