Great video. I have a 2020 Exlore e+0 pro that I’m led to believe this display can be upgraded with, but not the Giant Charge display? Is a software upgrade required after fitting? My bike already has the most recent update

Hi Leszek, thank you for your comment. Yes, you can indeed install the EVO display because the Trance E+ 2 Pro uses the G-System just as the EVO display. Keep in mind that you cannot use the Ride Control One installed on your bike together with the EVO display at the same time. Hi I’ve got a giant trance e+ pro 1 2019 model but it’s got a chip in it to derestrict it, would swapping the controller to this evo one affect that or would it still work as normal? Thanks
Hi, this is hard to tell since I am not familiar with derestricted bikes. But all the riding data comes directly from the motor, independent of the display. So swapping the display should not have an effect on the chip in my opinion. But I cannot guarantee that unfortunately. It would be best to contact the chip manufacturer. Cheers - Michael
Hi and thank you for your comment! Yes, you can upgrade your bike to this EVO display or other Giant displays. It is only important to note that your bike is equipped with the G-System (ANT+) and not with the current "SG System". This means that you can use displays that are designed for the G-System, but not displays for the SG System. Hope this helps! Hi, the USB port shown in the video can only be used to recharge your phone when riding your bike. You can attach a head light to the motor and turn it on/off via the light button on the control unit. Best regards Michael

I have a Giant Full E 2017 with this display. I do not supose if I bought the newer EVO display unit with the mobile phone app integration, those features would work at all with my older bike?

Hi, thank you for your comment. This error could have many reasons. Most likely the display is defective, but you can check the contacts of the connector. Just follow the cable from the display to the frame, remove the cable gland and carefully pull out the connector on the cable. Maybe it is loose and/or dirty. If that doesn't help, the next step would be to cross-replace the display with another EVO display. If that doesn't help either, you'll have to take a look at the wiring harness. Is this a direct swap for the Ride Control black and white LCD display on the older 2017 Full-e? My display is getting really scuffed and a replacement evo would be nice.
Hi Anthony, Thank you for your comment. Exactly, in this video we upgraded to the EVO display. But if your Full-E is already equipped with this display, you can simply swap it. We have this display and many more for your bike available in our store: www.ebike24.com/giant-ridecontrol-evo-display-panel Just keep in mind that the newer Giant displays use the "Smart Gateway" (SG) system introduced by Giant 2021. @@ebike24 ah, no. My bike has the different screen. I think they called it the ride control charge is a more basic and rectangle shape but it is a similar size and in the middle of the handlebars. Not the colourful Evo display. Are they interchangable?

Try holding down the walk assist button for three seconds, then the large up arrow button should activate walk assist (rather than changing the power levels)

Hi, den Bremshebel mussten wir demontieren, da ansonsten die Montage der Bedieneinheit nicht einwandfrei funktioniert hätte. Wie du im Video siehst, lässt sich die Klemmung der Bedieneinheit nicht öffnen. Damit die Bedieneinheit dann an den Bremshebel passt, mussten wir ihn abnehmen und die Bedieneinheit direkt mit dem Bremshebel montieren. Ansonsten hätte es vom Platz einfach nicht gereicht, da der Bremshebel im Weg wäre. Sportliche Grüße Michael
