This video tells you how to improve your English by watching TV series. It also contains series I recommend for their good English pronunciation style and vocabulary.
Dear David, your channel is helping me in my study for LanguageCert B2. I recommend, in American English, "Seinfeld". Don't you think that the English in "The Crown" is too difficult? I understand half of the sentences, while with the other TV series I haven't got these difficulties. Thanks for your suggestions!
Hi Serena, yes the English in the Crown is difficult but isn't that what all students are aiming at, to have a high level of English? Thank you for your suggestion of Seinfeld. It is a very good show, which not only has good English but is funny ! May I just ask where you come from Serena? David
@@The-English-Professor Hi David! I just wanted to say that I passed my B2 exam. Your channel was so helpful! Thanks a lot. I'm going to try to get the C1.
Hi Jan, yes Dr Who is a good series to watch, I agree. And you can learn some interesting acronyms e.g. TARDIS ( Time And Relative Dimension In Space) ! David
Hello Sajid Ali, I am not sure what you mean by 'credibility interview', but my advice is to look at previous questions used in interviews (exams), warm up before the exam by speaking English to a friend or colleague who speaks English and speak slowly and clearly during the exam. Good luck, David
The series I have mentioned in this video are ; Anne with an E, Victoria, The Crown, Downtown Abbey, Stranger Things, The Vicar of Dibley, Outlander, Top Gear, Friends, Mad Men, Desperate Housewives, The Simpsons and Breaking Bad. Dr Who is also good.
