Tom Larson was great! I grew up in Melrose/Wakefield during the 70’s/80’s and he was a staple on our TV - love the old commercials too. Thank you for showing these and putting this channel together
This was the first year I started watching the Bruins , when Orielly and Jonathan ruled the ice . ,I met Tom about 15 years ago at the Wallace Civic Center . it was Cool .
Back when TV38 was your place for the Red Sox, Bruins, Andy Griffith, Gunsmoke, 3 Stooges: Live-action/animated, Dick Van Dyke, Green Acres, F Troop, The Honeymooners, the original Twilight Zone, Rawhide, Hogan's Heroes, the Wild, Wild West, the Munsters, the Adam West-starred Batman, the Beverly Hillbillies, All In The Family, Maude, the Jeffersons, Barney Miller, Emergency, Adam-12, Ironside, Perry Mason, the Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet, Chico & the Man, the Lair's Club, the Joker's Wild (formerly on CBS), One Day at a Time, Family Ties, Punky Brewster, Petticoat Junction, the 1950's live-action Superman, along with the animated 1960's version, the '60s Popeye cartoons, Deputy Dawg, Top Cat, the Jetsons, etc.! Personally, I haven't watched either channel 38 or channel 56 in years!
A Facebook friend of mine who's worked in television production for decades just told me that it most likely came from stock music that stations could purchase back in the 70's and 80's.
