same! remember how Pearl showed Damon his place? Which reminds me of the bullshit that Jonathan Gilbert managed to kill two 500 year old vampires just like that (Ana, Pearl). I am currently rewatching TVD because I never watched beyond Katherine disappearing in the church. Season 1-2 were almost perfect and three was saved by the originals and from four on.....
@@parishallvevo5827 that means nothing just like rebeka when was fight with Aya without her full power Aya could not owerpower her, plus the original vampires are 1000 years old
I don’t feel bad for Kol and I don’t understand why Elena should too. I mean it’s his fault , If he had listened to Klaus and stayed back that would have not happened and he would still be alive . Why should Elena feel any remorse at all? Kol was trying to hurt her brother , was she supposed to sit in a corner and say go ahead ? Kol is a murdered who had taken the life of numerous innocent . Why should she feel bad ? And she shouldn’t feel remorse for Klaus either , even if I like him, he get what he deserves. He literally killed her aunt in front of her , tortured her and her friends , make her life a living heel . No one can say Klaus didn't care about Kol's death considering he literally was going to burn down the house. I wish they would have got to see Klaus actually angry about Kol's death. The fact that he cared more about Kol's death instead of his hybrids shows he didn't care about the other things and really did care about his brother and family.
Also this is definitely the season where i really started hating Elena. Always doing messed up shit and trying to still act innocent right after. She killed his brother and millions of vamps without batting an eye. Most deserve it but some could have been like them and trying to be "good" who knows. Part of me wanted Klaus to make them suffer here
You're forgetting that klaus killed her aunt jenna ruined stefan's life and in season 3 kept trying to use elena's blood to make more hybrids and tried sacrificing her in the ritual to become a true hybrid
Nupur Singh people like Klaus because he doesn’t pretend to be anything less then a manipulative bastard using people for his own ends, Elena on the other hand planned this murder in advance simply because she was to impatient to find the cure and wanted to speed up the process.
camhopsmith Elena I like and I don’t she omg she annoying doing her things her own way like stop u don’t care hurting other people but when it’s her family she goes a mad Klaus told he would control but nah but ik kol is alive he was brought back
I don't understand how Kol didn't throw Elena away like some twig. Honestly. I mean yeah they have plot armor but they should have at least made him put on a way better fight.
Kol may be a 1000 year old vampire but he didn’t really live much of it because he was constantly daggered. So it kinda makes him a newbie vamp in a sense
@@marshawnfleming2873 lol sure, for a human, but Kol was an Original. You know, the first vampires, the strongest vampires? Rebekah was proof that even when they are fresh out the box from being daggered they are still stronger than a regular vampire, so imagine my surprise when he struggles to hold off ELENA. He should have been able to hold her back with 2 fingers. This scene was nothing more than crummy writing and plot armor.
They destroyed this show. There's absolutely no way a one year old vampire can take down an original, even if Kol was in a box for like...forever. Shit show.
It would have been absolutely ridicolous if Elena wasn't even a vamp here, but it was poor writing this way too. They could have easily fix it by Elena surprise Kol with vervain shower, and after that she can hold him ok, but not before, this is dumb. Kol should be so much stronger he could throw Elena with a finger.
I was on Team Gilbert the first time I watched this scene. But now, rewatching it, my heart completely broke in pieces upon seeing Klaus's reaction as he watches them kill his brother. Now I am on Klaus's side as I feel so bad for him, as he was probably only going to dagger Kol, not actually kill his own brother.
Elena said it herself. Kol both directly and indirectly sired what could’ve been tens of thousands of vampires. Meaning she possibly killed tens of thousands of vampires (that’s a lot of people!) and was perfectly willing to do so, fully knowing that. And all so that SHE could be human again, and for what, fifty more years? Those dead vampires had an eternity, and they were vampires just like Caroline, Stefan, Damon, etc etc. She stole someone’s else’s Damon, someone else’s Caroline, someone else’s Stefan, and all for her own selfish gain. She was willing to let tens of thousands of vampires, just like her, die so that she could get her hands on the cure and get a few more short measly years as a human. She wasn’t even dying - she just really wanted to be human again, even at the expense of everyone else. She had plenty of time to find the cure, she literally had an eternity to figure it out - she should have found another way. Instead, she took the short route to get to the cure faster and set up a trap for Klaus’ brother, and murdered Kol and several other countless vampires she never even met in the process.
I dont understand why she fed on human blood in the first place if she was so worried about becoming a vampire and in her own words "ready to die" wouldn't it have been easier to just die instead of being this conflicted all the tims
Aside from Klaus’ reaction, this has to be the most unthought out scene ever written. How in the he*l did an inexperienced infant Vampire not only overpower a thousand year old original but hold him down long enough for an equally inexperienced hunter to deal a death blow? I call bullsh*t or better yet, ex machina!
extremely late but i just wanted to add they also dont have the strength to pierce an originals heart, i dont remember exactly episode from the originals but when someone tried to stake klaus they were unable to fully do it because of age
One of the most illogical scenes ever in this show. How did a freaken newbie vamp over power an original? This was some bull and definitely forced for the plot. They could have easily fixed this by making bonnie come earlier and help beat kol with her magic Also it shows how selfish elena is. She chose to kill Kol and potentially millions of other vampires for her own goals. Im not saying vampires are good at all but there could have been some like them just trying to live right but just got killed randomly.
She ain't selfish because so many other people would do the same things she does. Kol was trying to kill them and they had a way to kill him so they'd be safe from him. Self defense dumbass
Knight Rider She is selfish cause they could have just done it one vampire at a time but she wanted the fast shortcut. Imagine if there was vampires like them who try to be good in Kols sire line. All of them died instantly just cause she wanted to do things faster.... Also HES A 1000 year old Vampire. They are WAY stronger and faster than average vampires especially a NEWBIE vampire like elena was. It made no sense how she can first over power him then pin him down. I mean the cleaver wasnt even wood which they are more weak against than metal. You really cant justify that bull so "dumbass" right back at you. Also they lured him into a trap to do this. Come with actual evidence next time then just your preference.
ninjastorm540 Dumbass I did have evidence. A cleaver will hurt you no matter what so don't pull the it wasn't made of wood shit. Also Kol was still trying to kill Jeremy and if Kol never compelled Damon to do it they never would have attempted to kill him. So come back with actual facts because I'm the only one here with some. Elena was a noobie vampire yes but she had a fucking weapon. GTFO and don't come back because it's obvious that you are the kind of Elena hater who honestly thinks that you'd be any different in this situation. Wanna know who is more selfish than Elena? Caroline or Damon. Caroline just wants everything to be about her and acts perfect. Damon wanted Elena so bad he just didn't give a damn about his brother. Did you know in the book Damon staked Stefan and buired him alive just so he could have fun with Elena?
For an 1000 year old. Kol was portrayed rather bad here. I love Nathaniel but surely Kol should have been able to remove the knife and push Elena out the way like damn
Gilbert's always get what they want? They didn't get her the cure until season 6, there parents and whole family are dead and they just keep losing people. Kol wasn't likeable till he was on Originals. I don't get the hate for Elena honestly because everyone is just being hypocrites like Damon and Stefan are to each other and even the fans. When Damon punched Stefan because Stefan told Damon to go ahead and use the sire bond on Elena I saw so many comments of people saying Stefan deserved it. The fuck Damon deservedthe punch because the only reason that scene happened was because Stefan and Rebekah had sex even after what she did but in season 3 Damon had sex with Rebekah right after she tried to kill Elena. The fandom for TVD is toxic and it's affecting the Originals which is still my favorite show. It's far better than TVD.
@@jstar2671 um wtf are you talking about, Klaus was very upset and even cried when kol died in the originals, hell even when Finn died, because he loves his family
It makes me laugh that Elena has the audacity to make herself the victim here yet she was planning to murder Kol just for the sake of getting to the cure faster
@@joshthaller4754 actually it was the sire bound for Damon, Kol not only tortured Daamon but also compelled him to kill jeremy, and poor Elena couldn't tolerate that
@@phyarraphoenix1185Damon literally killed Jeremy all on his own once and she didn’t care about that but now she’s willing to kill an endless number of possibly innocent vamps, the real reason is that she just wanted the cure for herself, selfish
This is a prime example of Katherine being right when she said the MF gang were hypocrites. They turn Bonnie’s mom into a vampire, kill an innocent hybrid who HELPED them a few episodes before this, then they kill thousands of vampires, some of whom didn’t have a choice in their turning and tried to do their best. They can’t talk about Katherine or even the Originals. The agendas are different but the actions are the same.
@@thomasraines1396 those aren't excuses. That's them being upfront why they are doing things. They are at least honest that they care about their family and not anyone else. Same with Katherine, she makes it clear that her survival is the most important. Compared to Elena and the Salvatores who pretend to want to save everyone but it's all about saving Elena in the end. That's what the OP meant and what I meant.
@@TheSafiera95 that’s excuse they use to justify everything they’ve done and yes it is an excuse that’s not to say it’s untrue but it’s what they default to saying whenever something happens to them (that a good majority of the time ties back to something they did previously).
Joseph morgan has mastered all aspects of tv and film acting. Most actors have their strengths and weaknesses but he's one of the few who's acting is flawless
@@matthewbee128 Right. The same guy that turned their innocent aunt into a vampire then sacrifice her, robbing Elena and Jeremy of their last relative.
@@Marcus-ls6uw And I’m pretty sure they got back at him for that when they killed Finn. Plus there was Kol’s sireline that was also wrongfully killed and Elena didn’t seem to have a problem sacrificing all those vampires
@@matthewbee128 Klaus didn’t care for Fin at that time. Kol, Elijah and Rebekah? He cares and loves them so much. Don’t get me wrong. I love Klaus. But I don’t condone what he’s done. Sure you can say that he was not born this way. It’s true. But that still doesn’t excuse what he did. That’s why I was so glad that he was redeemed. And he found peace.
I’m so mad after watching all season of the originals then coming back to rewatch the TVd they actually made the Orignals seem way weaker then they actually are there is no way humans should even come close to killing a orignals💯 so I say in every way the Orignals are better then the TVD
Exactly! Elijah takes out a whole vampire army alone before the werewolves came out nowhere, but in his first episode he gets staked by the Salvatore brothers 😒
What I love most is the last look on Bonnie’s face. She is all cocky saying Klaus has no idea what she can do now but he just stares and says he’s going to hunt them to their ends and it’s like it suddenly occurs to her that he’s a thousand and they killed his brother.
After watching the Originals and then rewatching this scene it just makes me cry so much seeing Kol die. Then seeing Klaus react this way makes it even more painful. Kol always felt like he wasn't loved by his other siblings, I wished he could see how hurt and upset Klaus was by his death.
Gets even better when you realize how much Klaus loved Kol. Klaus knew Jeremy was a Hunter, yet he didn't hesitate to threaten to kill Jeremy. And when Klaus threatens to kill someone, he means it. So Klaus was fully prepared to suffer for a century because of the Hunter's curse, just to avenge his Brother. If that doesn't show how much he actually loved Kol, nothing is.
Kol: “I’m the dead but never mourned. And while you all got everything you ever wanted, I got a family who didn’t care whether I lived or died!” Klaus: “stop this nonsense of being singled out. *You are a Mikaelson* You’re My blood.”
Elena and the main characters: kill kol (a guy who was trying to make sure hell doesn't unleash on earth) and potentially millions of vampires all across the world in one go to suit their goals. Also Elena and main characters when someone tries to kill them: yOu'Re A mOnStEr
I really like how Jeremy picks up the stake when Klaus comes in. 1) You couldnt take on Kol, no way you are taking Klaus down especially when he is angry. 2) Even if he did somehow kill Klaus, congrats, now your sister is dead. 3) No way that stake was cooled off enough for him to hold it. I know its a TV show, but it still cracks me up. Like, heat doesnt bother humans. Haha.
No Jeremy wouldn’t be able to touch Klaus. 1.You mess with his family there will be a consequence between you and Klaus 2.His anger is unending 3.Faster then the normal vampire 4.bite from Klaus they will die anyways 5.Jus overall better and cooler
99.99% of the people are like that’s why I started hating Elena, it’s so sad that we saw Klaus angry because he was there when his brother died. Come on guys don’t we have TEAM KOL
I really hate Elena in season 4. It was her idea to kill Kol and she helped Jeremy do it. She help kill thounsands of vampires just so that she could become human, which is so selfish. And Stefan was the only other person of her friends that talk about becoming human, but that was also that he thought he would have a chance with Elena. I hate her for killing all those vampires and causing Silas to break free just so she could get a shot of becoming human, and it didn't work out as planed. It's like she still think she is better then the rest of the vampires, like she pretends to be the good one, like she is on some moral high ground and is better then everyone else.
Klaus was right, they had a choice and it was for Jeremy to kill Kol and his entire sire line to fill in his hunter mark to get the cure. It’s kind of poetic justice Katherine kills Jeremy on the island, he & Elena pretty much had it coming.
If you think about it, Katherine was (maybe) dating Elijah at the time. She avenged his little brother, stopped the Mystic Falls gang from getting the Cure, and was willing to give it to Klaus. For her own freedom, sure, but she was technically on Elijah's side
@@joshthaller4754 she literally killed potentialling innocent vampires sired to kol who did her no arm. N she’s also a hypocrite bcz look how she wanted to kill kathrine for the murder of Jeremy like was she expecting klaus no avenge his brother death.

@@azoloma9647 I can tell you why I never liked Elena. She makes everything, EVERYTHING about her. There's a video on youtubr called Elena Gilbert being self-centered, check it out if you wanna know what I mean. Also I hate the way she trested Stefan and Damon. She doesn't have to hurt one or both of them with everything she does. And the show itself makes everything about Elena. It pisses me off that she is everyone's highest priority. She wasn’t human, she was a few months old vampire, it doesn’t matter though or rather it shouldn’t because Kol is a fucking Original. Ultimately however Kol lacked something Elena had: plot armor.
@@azoloma9647 she doesn't. She saves everyone and putts herself before everyone. If it wasn't for her everyone would be dead. And she is better then everyone else's
matthew mann sadly following this he doesn’t do anything, Klaus and the other Mikaelson’s’ have to be all talk in regards to the main characters because if they could actually act by themselves they would’ve all been dead a long time ago.
That fact that they set this hole trap up to kill kol when klaus said he was going to make him suffer on his own terms shows klaus really does care about his brother.
I'm on Klaus' side on this. Elena knew how psychotic Kol was and she knew what she was getting herself into. She knew Rebekah and Klaus would have exploded on her. Personally I think she brought it on herself. Kol would've never tried to kill Jeremy and none of that would've happened if they didn't invite him inside
He cares about his family jus hides it bc he loves them. But like he said “love was a vampires weakness”he didn’t show it so ppl didn’t think he was weak
1:16 ON MY TERMS. The pure anger in his voice. Everything Joseph Morgan does as klaus feels so freaking real. He's literally on par with James McAvoy in my opinion in terms of his acting talent. Joseph Morgan, James McAvoy and Tom Ellis in a movie would be amazing because of their superb acting talents
Geez the things Elena does annoy the fuck out of me sometimes. She acts all shocked and innocent, like in this moment, they had a plan and killed Kol. Klaus was right there and watched his own brother burn. Like even tho they weren't on the best of terms, Kol was still his brother and he didn't want him to 'die' die. And when Klaus is outraged and asks what's going on, Elena's all like, "But isn't this okay?" Bruh. They not only killed Kol but everyone who was sired to him smh. Some vampires that were more innocent than Elena and Jeremy.
Fr but you ever realize the mikealson family strength on the originals but this is tvd so they have to be weakened a bit to make it even and they still made it look like they had to catch kol off guard to kill him
You can see the moment Klaus realized that he should have found a way to keep his siblings daggered. He never hated his siblings, he was so paranoid that the only way he can see himself protecting them was through daggering them and keeping them close. It’s obviously a shitty thing to do no matter what the reason, but he truly loves them all and having to watch another one of his brothers die a brutal death must be the worst thing. I truly had a burning hatred for the Gilbert’s and co once I watched The Originals because of how selfish and narcissistic they were. Sure the Mikaelson’s have lived long lives meaning a LOT more room for error, but at least they never tried to make themselves out to be the good guys.
Is it just me or was killing an original 1000 year old vampire kol. A walk in the park. You think after decades of living they would develop a tolerance for verbayn.
mauia888 It doesn't matter what they used against him, he's a 1000 year old vampire who's fighting a 1 year old vampire and a buffed up human. He's not the stronger original but he could still body multiple vampires before even getting hurt. The only reason he actually died was because the plot required it.
honestly i never had anything against elena i was neutral for the character elena but i respected her dedication to always sarafice herself to protect everyone not just the people she cared about in the first and second and even some of the third season but the moment she was willing to kill an entire line of vampires which consists of thousands of vampires if not more some off whom probably were just like her or stefan or caroline, but she didnt care she wanted the cure for her self soo much so she was willing to resurect silas and that caused her brothers death which in my opinion she deserves that and once again bonnie died in the process soo did her died. in that moment i lost all respect for her in the moment she became more evil then klaus has ever been you can sayy all you want about how klaus is evil but you all seem to forget that when klaus first got to mystic falls why didnt he try to kill everyone or what about after they killed his brother he still didnt kill them but when kol was trying to protect them from making a terrible mistake he gets murdered without even being considered worst part is even when he came back from the veil being dropped they never even bothered to appallogize and just prettended that they were right all along and treated kol like he the bad guy in that sistuation.
Also to anyone taking Elena and Jeremy’s side that Kol was trying to kill them... if it was only self defense then Elena would have stabbed Kol with the white oak stake yet she purposely threw it to Jeremy so he could get credit for killing Kol’s sire line and fill in his mark.
LeakzEmNW10 ! They can’t dagger the original vampires but they can stake them case in point would be the next episode when they all get to the island where Silas is and Elena tried to stake Rebekah with the white oak stake and also, in a prior episode when Rebekah traps Elena, Stefan and Caroline at the school, Stefan called Caroline and told her to bring the white oak stake to the school so they could stake Rebekah so they can use the stake against the original vampires without killing themselves. However, she never planned to use the stake because if she was the one to kill Kol then his compulsion over Damon would end but Jeremy’s Hunter tattoo would not fill in at all let alone fill in completely giving them the coordinates to the cure for vampirism. That was always the plan which is why what they did was premeditated and not self defense not to mention the cold blooded murder of who knows how many vampires that had never done anything to the Mystic Falls gang because they’d never met them.
imperfectlypretty what about when Damon almost killed Klaus and Stefan had to save them both from dying in season 3 where Miakel was confronting Klaus outside his house, I’m sure Stefan said that the white oak stake would take both them of them out, and as for the Elena and Rebekah thingy, Elena didn’t actually stake here at the end of the day if she did she would of died too.
i love that at this time making hybrids was the most important thing to klaus like he spent 1000 years trying to make them but he would kill elena to avenge kol and he wanted to find the cure and destroy it and to do that would need jeremy alive but instead would’ve let him die for what he did
This scene mad me so mad. Even when Elena was trying to make klaus ok with his brother being murdered and when Stefan was trying to justify lol murder to Rebekah like no
Elena's screw up here needs a whole explanation for why she is a stupid idiot (yes, she's that bad I used bad grammar): One, Kol is a thousand years old, *and* an Original. He should have been able to body Elena with a flick - her BS plot armor is the only thing that allowed her to overpower Kol. Two, she knows killing an Original kills their entire sireline. That's potentially hundreds of vampires who have never even seen Elena, let alone done her any harm! That's bloody genocide! But no, Elena decides "My needs come before the lives of hundreds of people I've never met." Three, she should have expected retribution from Klaus for so much as harming Kol. Let alone killing him! That's Klaus' little brother, Klaus is going to be heartbroken over Kol's death. Four, she failed to consider the reactions of Elijah and Rebekah. Both of them should have come for Elena for this. Five, as you said, an arm is not equivalent to hundreds of lives, Elena had no right making that whiny justification.
It's been 12 years since this series ended and I still can not belive that Klaus and specialy Elijah let Elena get out in the clear after she set a trap for Kol and murdered him. What happened to the always and forever? The Originals had killed people for far less, and to the Mikaelsons... if you hurt one of them you hurt them all. Honestly Elena getting away with murdering Kol really MAKES NO SENSE!
oh wow the comment section here and i ... have the same feelings towards this moment i started hating elena here , most stupidest moment , how is he suddenly so easy to beat, makes no sense , completely unnecessary i 100% agree kol's "craziness" would have been so much fun and amazing to see the so called "villians" originals got more attention over the actual protagonists and i support that
When I first watched tvd I hated klaus and his family then I watched the originals now I love them all especially klaus and hate elena and that (I still like Stefan)
Lmao same. I hate almost every TVD character except Caroline and Stefan. Damon, Elena, Bonnie, they all are annoying and just overall badly written. There's so much inconsistency in their characters. The Originals is so much better and I was so happy when I saw Stefan and Care on the show.
okay but i wanted kol to come back to mystic falls and i want to see the look on jeremy and elenas face when they see him alive again and i want to see them get so scared and then i want kol to kill them or davina to walk in the room and calm him down and they see that he’s got a wife and then she makes them suffer but doesn’t kill them
The fact is that she isn’t happy after the TVD is over she wished she picked Stefan bc her and Damon don’t get along at all just make me happy she don’t deserve happy-ness after what she did to kol
