As much as I thought it would end up with Raiders of the Lost Ark with the Sack, I honestly saw Mitch more as Judge doom with his attire, voice especially.
But they DO forget. If you were born this year, it would be *old news* by the time you were starting to draw your own conclusions about the world, and almost two decades in the past before you could actually do anything about it. Then it's just "a thing you have been told" so many times that you've developed ideas about what it was like when it was happening, even if you watched contemporary recordings. What we need are laws that prevent this sort of cluster...um... *thing* from happening again, and maybe even annotations in the law that describe its intent so it can't be inadvertently buggered up, and a lot harder to *deliberately* circumvent.

@@carolyntalbot947 Well, 2019 was a little rough for me, too, going back even to October of 2018. I was in the hospital for several months with severe bronchial troubles, only to have my husband checked in just before I was sent home. He died in 2019 following a third stroke. So I had more to adjust to other than the Lockdown. I am not allowed to go anywhere except to medical appointments! Well, at least we have a string of lights over the fireplace, lots of hot drinks, and a tiny Christmas tree diorama with a Santa and tiny gifts. My son will be cooking us a pair of Cornish hens for Christmas dinner. We will have to share with our furballs. We'll buy our own presents for ourselves, via online shopping. Makes me feel good. I am determined to have a merry Christmas regardless, and no Grinch will steal Christmas this year.

This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. The blending of so many memorable movie scenes along with the underlying theme, masterfully done, a modern classic. Let's hope this sticks around for a while, not just in the National Film Registry but on accessible media. Kind of like the Rudolph thing and It's a Wonderful Life. So well done, looking forward to seeing it many times in years to come. Thanks to all in its production, you've given some levity and charm to a difficult time.
