Getting this thing to cool down and shutoff can be a bit annoying in certain scenarios, so let's add a few things to it to make the process much easier to control.

Your vids are always oddly relaxing =) Neat tip with the rocker switch.

Hi, I've got the same workstation, but the one which has also the soldering Iron. It is particularly interesting the moment when you point the fact that this hot air gun easily turns itself off (@5:02), while eating a component. The same happens to me and it's drives me crazy... but I couldn't realize WHY! Thanks for the precious HINT! I'll check it immediately!

Guitar picks are good for taking things apart without using sharp blades that could cut you or scar your project. Also, the switch is a matter of perspective. Instead of heat on/off, why not cool down mode on/off....

I've never heard of that 'nipper' tool before, where did you get it from? Would be handy for these kind of modifications to my own equipment.

I incorrectly called it a nipper in the video. Turns out it's actually a "nibbling tool." I don't remember were exactly I got this one, as I've had it for many years, but looks like it can be found easily online, or at stores like Frys, if you happen to be near one.

"Nibbling Tool" was the magic phrase! I'd spent a good hour or so looking for one, as they seem to be impossible to find the UK. However, it turns out the Japanese company Engineer holds the patent - the TZ-20 Nibbling Tool Cutter - and the various ones I found on American eBay were copies of that. I'll import one of the TZ-20s as it'll be a useful tool for modifying computer cases for customer builds as well! :)
