I think it's beautiful because I saw this one person comment "Sahlo Folina" on a Twenty Øne Piløts video and people were all replying "Are you alright fren?", "We are here if you need help", and "Stay Alive, fren ||-//" and "do you need help" and it was just incredible to see

They use the color yellow as their main motif for it signifies optimism to fight the gloominess of Dema. It’s also said that the Bishops can’t see the color yellow and the leader of the Banditos is the drummer AKA Joshua Dun The phase “Sahlo Folina” The boys did a Q&A on Reddit in October and someone asked what does that mean. “It’s what we cry in TRENCH when we are in need.” Basically a cry for help. “Sahlo” means to enable in Somali. Folina is a name. Its meaning is said to be one of creativity with a distaste for conformity and strict routine. So “Sahlo Folina” may mean to enable expressive creations. Allie Morrison it’s kinda like a tour diary type of thing. Basically shows them when they were on the second leg of their ERS tour. If you go on their youtube channel go to their playlists and you will find it! Also have a lot more “tour diaries” on their playlists. They do it for every tour.
Ian’s right... not that hard. 🙄 Trench blows away all of their previous work from a production perspective, hands down. It is just way more polished. Tyler’s lyricism and production is also more refined and the album as a whole is the most cohesive effort as well. So yeah... I think many TøP fans will agree with that sentiment that Trench is their best album yet... With that being said, ironically, I don’t know that his album has quite the same radio friendly vibe that Blurryface did... we shall see though. I’d like to see Morph, Chlorine, and Pet Cheetah get a swing at radio lol. Certainly not all will agree with me - many long-time fans are hung up on their early works because of the emotional attachment developed back then, I suspect. Then again, a lot of these are the same folks who think Tyler and Josh shit gold. I am a ridiculously dedicated and infatuated fan, but didn’t catch on to them until Vessel before Stressed Out went insane... so I can go back to some of their older stuff and recognize it for what it is... just not that great in plenty of cases-you’ll definitely find some diamonds in the rough, but it was, as a whole, pretty rough.

I see people here asking you three to react to Tyler's first "album" No Phun Intended and I kind of cringe cause yeah there are some gems on there (Taco Bell Saga) and I love it because it's interesting to see where Tyler started as a songwriter, but the album as a whole sounds exactly like it was produced by a 17 year old in their basement.

I've been a fan since self-titled album and I completely agree. I stumbled across them by complete accident and I became a fan. But not really of their music (it was okay, wasn't too crazy about it), but what promise and potential they music had. And yeah, they got progressively better over the years, but I think they weren't quite there until Trench. Trench is their first album I can describe as an amazing album, that I truly love and don't think that there were some major issues with something on it.
Their early works in self titled were very raw and unpolished + Tyler and the band members back then (Josh comes later) had absolutely no experience with music. Most of the songs were also about Tyler's faith with God and his hardships with suicide as well. A lot of people enjoyed this TOP but they evolved a lot in the last 3 years with Blurryface and Trench (which expands the concept of Blurryface with a whole society and world) and they have really good production now + a lot of money
Agreed. Ive been a fan since Vessel. Each album has something special about it. I do like the earlier work, but I love how much improvement there has been over the years, I do think Trench is a great album. The earlier stuff, I did have to listen to a couple times to get into it. I enjoyed this from the first listen, and it's grown on me more since going to the show. Some of the older stuff, although heartfelt and deep, it can be a bit too deep for me.

Let me tell you guys one thing, this song live makes you feel like youre on another world. I have never felt so hypnotized, saddened yet inspired, and just so empty yet full of life at the same time. A bandito is the resistence against the world of Dema, this whole world of dema is a symbol of our mental struggles whether that be anxiety, depression, etc. Just like mental struggles, this world is hard to get out of and when you do its quite easy to go back (just like the levitate videi when Tyler gets taken from a bishop) This whole world is a metaphor for what goes on in our heads when were are fighting mental illness. ("I created this world to feel some control") The banditos are those who are trying to find a way out of dema, fighting against its authorities, being the bishops which are the one who glorify the idea of suicide and they teach you to stay in the darkness. Sahlo Folina is whats called out when we are in need of help, most likely that being when we are in trench = ("this is the sound we make when in between to places") because when you are in a trench you are in between two places. Tyler created this word and gave it its own meaning. Theres so much more to this world that Tyler has created and has even said he knows what the weather is like. The way his brain works is truly fascinating.
To understand what a bandito is you first have to understand the whole album concept: basically it’s that there’s a “city” called DEMA where no one can escape and it’s ruled but 9 bishops (the guys in red cloaks that you’ll see in the music videos). A bandito is basically kind of like a person who’s escaping DEMA and is helping others so for example in the video nico and the niners you’ll see some of the banditos trying to escape and trying to help Tyler escape with them. There’s a lot more to know about the whole dema world and how it began but that’s just a tiny piece. To understand more of the world I recommend watching “the twenty one pilots universe: how dema explains everything” by Nalbis here on RU-vid. He does a great job of explaining the whole universe and how it came to be. I really hope this helped I know it is kinda long but yeah

Awe yes! My fave song off of Trench. There is just something about this song where I could easily listen to just the instrumentals on repeat, even though I already do so with the original track [with vocals] lol.
I’m begging you to react to Legend or Smithereens. It’s a huge switch up from the rest of the album and they are very up and just great. I will admit I am a little biased but ones about his wife and the others about his dead grandpa but they still keep it up beat and full of meaning. It’s just great.
